Katy Perry, Fifth Harmony Release Albums; ‘CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story’ Premieres Tonight On VH1

Welcome to Buzzworthy’s “The Week In Pop,” where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, TV performances by your favorite pop stars, and more (so you don’t have to).

It’s an all-ladies Week In Pop extravaganza! Katy Perry kicks everything off with a roar on Prism, and Fifth Harmony debut their Better Together EP. Meanwhile in must-sees, “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” premieres on VH1 tonight at 9 p.m. ET, and 5H will perform and more during their “Live From MTV” special on MTV.com tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Katy Perry releases her fourth studio album, Prism.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ Katy Perry, Prism: On her much-anticipated fourth studio album, Katy dabbles in house music (“Walking On Air,” “This Is How We Do”), anthem pop (“Roar“), torch-y love balladry (“Unconditionally“), and smoldering sultry grooves (“Dark Horse” featuring Juicy J). Stream Prism in its entirety via her website before it drops tomorrow.

+ Fifth Harmony, Better Together: “The X Factor” alums open their six-song EP by declaring that they “Don’t Want To Dance Alone.” Well, we doubt that the ladies of 5H are in trouble, as their lilting harmonies could charm anyone that they set their sights on. Stream Better Together in its entirety via Fifth Harmony’s MTV Artist page before it’s released tomorrow.

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

Best CoastFade Away: In crafting the seven-song mini-album, singer Bethany Cosentino told MTV News that the band’s influences ranged from Blondie and Mazzy Star to The Jesus And Mary Chain and Taylor Swift: “Apparently I’m the Taylor Swift for stoners; that’s pretty tight.” Stream Fade Away via SoundCloud before it hits tomorrow to judge for yourself.

+ Donna SummerLove To Love You Donna: The late, great disco queen gets the remix treatment she deserves on this compilation. Frankie Knuckles (“Hot Stuff”), Afrojack (“I Feel Love”), Chromeo (“Love Is In Control (Finger On The Trigger)”), and Hot Chip (“Sunset People”) are among the remixers.
