Angel Haze puts an acoustic spin on Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.”

I know what you’re thinking. AnotherWrecking Ball” cover? But wait! Before you open a new tab and start scrolling through hand-knitted scarves on Etsy, take a few minutes to let Angel Haze‘s stunning acoustic cover of Miley Cyrus‘ track wash over you. No purchase necessary.

Listen to Angel Haze’s “Wrecking Ball” cover after the jump.

Part of her ongoing #30GOLD series, aka the lead-up to the release of her debut album, Dirty Gold, the “Echelon (It’s My Way)” rapper’s latest cover comes just one day after releasing a revealing freestyle over Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ “Same Love.”

Led by a simple acoustic guitar, Angel stays true to Miley’s original melody as she wails the lyrics and hits every note just so. Showcasing her truly powerful vocals, every tear-jerking emotion Angel’s ever felt sounds like it bubbles to the surface as she cries “You wre-eh-eh-ecked me.”

Though we’ll probably never get enough of the original “Wrecking Ball” (no matter how many people spoof its video), it’s actually refreshing to hear Angel’s stripped-down rendition, as we’re generally accustomed to hearing the young rapper spit fiery, profanity-laced, aggressive verses on tracks like “New York,” “Werkin’ Girls,” and “No Bueno.” In conclusion? Sing it, Angel!
