Man Carves A Lady Gaga Pumpkin Based On Her Madame Tussauds Wax Figure — But Is It ARTPOP? (PHOTOS)

This pumpkin carving of Lady Gaga's Madame Tussauds wax figure is too postmodern for us.

Puh-puh-puh-pumpkin face, puh-puh-pumpkin face.

On Tuesday, Lady Gaga revealed the true meaning of her forthcoming studio album’s name, ARTPOP. She released a teaser snippet of the title track: “My ARTPOP could mean anything,” she sings over the pulsing synth beat. Does that mean that this photo of a man carving the “Do What U Want” singer’s likeness into a pumpkin based on her wax figure at Madame Tussauds’ NYC location is the single greatest act of ARTPOP ever conceived? Uhhh… why not!

DERRIDA, IS THAT YOU??

Like, are you even trying to wrap your mind around how f***ing recursive this whole conceit is? This is a photograph of a gourdly portrait that is based on a life-size hunk of wax, which in turn is based on a human being. Basically, we’re looking at Lady Gaga, three times removed! OMG, do you hear that? That crashing noise is the sound of postmodernism CRUMBLING TO BITS.

Dance. Sex. Art. Pop. Tech. Pumpkins.

Whew, studying this purported “Reverse Warholian Expedition” sure was intellectually exhausting! BRB, gotta go recharge with that penis jack-o-lantern that Ke$ha carved for Halloween. Bai!
