Lou Reed has died at the age of 71.

R.I.P. Lou Reed (1942-2013)

Lou Reed, the legendary guitarist and songwriter whose work with The Velvet Underground and as a solo artist remains influential to this day, passed away in New York yesterday (Oct. 27) at the age of 71. His cause of death was undisclosed, but he had undergone a liver transplant in May. (MTV News)
