That takes some serious balance, guys.
Gimme a K! Gimme an A! Gimme a T! Gimme a… OK, you get the idea.
But maybe my little cheer will help you remember that time Katy Perry opened her hosting gig at the 2008 EMA in Liverpool by performing “I Kissed A Girl“? And that she arrived on stage surrounded by cheerleaders and straddling a
phallic giant Cherry ChapStick? PSHHHH, yeah, you remember that! Because that was the EMAs’ 15th anniversary show! #ExtraSpesh
“I’ve never done anything like this before, so if I pass out mid-sentence, or I throw up all over my cheerleaders, I’m sorry,” said Katy at the time. “I’m only used to hosting Scrabble games at my house.” Awww, so humble! So good at balancing normal, just-like-us activities with literally balancing on a huge Cherry ChapStick!
Which really begs the question: What’s Katy gonna do at her “Unconditionally” performance THIS year??

Anyway, for those of you just tuning in, here’s where we currently stand re: the EMA. Starting at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 10, U.S. residents will get to watch a very special EMA broadcast from New York City hosted by “Glee”‘s Darren Criss, Cher Lloyd, and “Guy Code“‘s Andrew Shulz featuring live performances by Fall Out Boy, Jason Derulo, The Wanted, EMA backstage host Ariana Grande, and Artist On The Rise nominee Austin Mahone.
And we haven’t even talked about the official EMA performers yet! (Well, today, that is.) Once the big show kicks off at Amsterdam’s Ziggo dome, you’ll be engulfed by performances from Miley Cyrus, the aforementioned Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Kings Of Leon, Robin Thicke, Imagine Dragons, Afrojack, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, and Icona Pop!
