R. Kelly, Childish Gambino Release Albums; Taylor Swift + Fall Out Boy Perform At The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show On Tuesday

Welcome to Buzzworthy’s “The Week In Pop,” where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, TV performances by your favorite pop stars, and more (so you don’t have to).

This week, R. Kelly drops Black Panties (literally), and Childish Gambino releases Because The Internet. Meanwhile, Brendan Benson streets his sixth solo album with You Were Right, and Neil Young releases a live set titled Live At The Cellar Door. Over on TV, Taylor Swift and Fall Out Boy rock the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show tomorrow night, and the week caps off with Kings Of Leon performing on “Saturday Night Live.”

R. Kelly releases his new album, "Black Panties," and more from the Week In Pop.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ R. KellyBlack Panties: As the title not-so-subtly hints at, Kells is sexing things up with his bawdy 12th studio album. With song titles like “Legs Shakin’” (featuring Ludacris), “All The Way” (with Kelly Rowland), and “Crazy Sex,” there isn’t much in the way of foreplay. It’s all about getting down to business, with plenty of R. Kelly’s patented double entendres peppering the set. Stream Black Panties before its release via Rolling Stone.

+ Childish GambinoBecause The Internet: Actor/ rapper Donald Glover’s been making changes, from leaving “Community” to getting personal on Instagram. This confessional vibe continues on his sophomore effort. Watch him perform “Shadows,” with its soulful beginning that culminates in a quick-witted rap and blistering rock. Also, check out NSFW “3005” via SoundCloud.

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

+ Brendan Benson, You Were Right: The Raconteurs member paired several tunes from his solo power pop/ rock arsenal with tweaked versions of songs from the cutting room floors of albums past. Listen to You Were Right via Pitchfork Advance.

+ Neil YoungLive At The Cellar Door: A collection of unreleased live performances from Washington, D.C.’s The Cellar Door venue in 1970, Neil’s latest album houses classic tracks from the legendary artist, including “Cinnamon Girl” and “Only Love Can Break Your Heart.” Stream Live At The Cellar Door via Rolling Stone.
