Merry Britmas! Obviously We’re Spending All Day Listening To ‘My Only Wish (This Year)’

What's the only acceptable way to ring in the Holidays? Listen to Britney's "My Only Wish This Year" and celebrate with the holy Spearit!

PRAISE THE HOLY SPEARIT!

Merry Christmas!! It’s officially the holidays, and you know what that means: Time to get IN THE ZONE! And speaking of forever memorable Britney Spears album titles, the only way to worship this year — y’know, other than going to church and/or hanging out with your family or gluing yourself to the TV and watching “Crossroads” followed by “Pitch Perfect” followed by “Mean Girls” and then maybe “On The Line” again  — is by praising the holy Spearit!

And how does one best honor the holy Spearit? Duh: by worshipping at the altar of Britney’s 2000 holiday classic, “My Only Wish (This Year)”!

Listen to Britney Spears’ “My Only Wish (This Year)” after the jump.

Now, if for some unholy reason you’re unfamiliar with Britney’s holiday opus, we’ll break it down for you: In “My Only Wish (This Year),” Britney begs Santa to find her a boy to love, just in time for Christmas! And, look! All that wishing must’ve worked because now Britney’s alllll cozied up with her boyfriend, David Lucado. (OK, so apparently Santa grants wishes 13 years after the fact, but whatever! #technicalities #math)

We’ll now leave you to Britney’s Christmas classic, because we’ve got Britney Spears-themed cookies in the oven.

+ Listen to Britney Spears’ “My Only Wish (This Year).”
