My Chemical Romance’s ‘Greatest Hits’ Trailer And Never-Before-Seen Photos Make Us Wish It Were March 25 Already

My Chemical Romance have announced a greatest hits album, "May Death Never Stop You."

Start wistfully humming “Welcome To The Black Parade” riiiiiight… now.

My Chemical Romance announced the release of their greatest hits album, May Death Never Stop You, today with… an appropriately macabre trailer!

The short clip shows footage of a tombstone with the words “the end” scrawled across it, a crumpled-up photo of the band, and snippets from some of the group’s most memorable videos over the course of their 2001-2013 year run — including, of course, the funeral scene from “Helena.” Contemplating mortality never looked so fun!

“The title is fitting, because as sad as it was to say goodbye to the band, we look at this collection as a celebration of our best songs, and hope the memory of them continues to bring joy to you all as they have for us,” the band said in a press release.

Arriving on March 25th — almost exactly one year after the band announced their breakup — the album will feature 19 tracks, including three demos and one previously unreleased song called “Fake Your Death.” WAIT A MINUTE! Could this all be an elaborate lead-in to the band’s inevitable reunion? Better study the two hours of unseen video footage and unreleased photos on the accompanying DVD for clues.
