Cher Lloyd Goes All ‘Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe’ On New Song ‘M.F.P.O.T.Y.’

Listen to Cher Lloyd's new song, "M.F.P.O.T.Y."

Because a “Pretty Good Party Of The Year” is obviously not Cher-worthy.

No, “M.F.P.O.T.Y.” isn’t just a random string of letters that our fingers banged out on the keyboard once we heard that Cher Lloyd had premiered another new song on CherLloyd.mtv.com from Sorry I’m Late (out May 27).

It’s actually the title of said track, and we’ll give you a hint: It doesn’t stand for “My friend Patty owns that yak.” Give up? Try dialing up the NSFW language and dialing down the, um, yak talk. Yep, “M.F.P.O.T.Y.” translates “Motherf***ing party of the year.” Much better, amirite?

The “Bind Your Love” singer is bemoaning the fact that some dude won’t chill and just let her enjoy said blowout: “‘Cause, ew! What’s wrong with you?/ No, the problem is not my attitude/ But you’re, ew! Just not my type/ And the next time I won’t be so polite.” To paraphrase Kendrick Lamar, killing one’s vibe is, like, totally ew.

IDK about you, but we’re really feeling the return of Cher’s killer brattitude, especially after the feels-inducing video for “Sirens” that just dropped this week. I mean, it sounds like it’d be pretty hard to enjoy the “M.F.P.O.T.Y.” if we’re weeping in the corner, you know?
