Britney continues to reign over all the tempos in her "Work Bitch" follow-up.
Late on Sunday night, Britney Spears released "Perfume," the second single off of Britney Jean (out Dec. 3) and a fragile, emotive entry into the Ballad-ney canon. Unlike its predecessor, the steely, no-nonsense "Work B**ch," this downtempo number is so vulnerable and raw that it's basically Brit-Brit tartare.
In the chorus, Ms. Britney sings: "And while I wait, I put on my perfume/ Yeah, I want it all over you/ I gotta mark my territory." So whaddya say, #BritneyArmy? Let's douse ourselves in as much Eau de Bretagne as humanly possible by reliving her greatest fragrance commercials. Umm, actually that wasn't a request. We know that you choose your own destiny and all, but that was an order.
1.) Britney's 2010 commercial for "Radiance" gave us the iconic line: "I choose my own destiny."
Though dressed like "Lucky," this is a story about a girl named "Autonomy."
