Today was the very first-ever episode of It's On With Alexa Chung, and obviously you guys watched, judging by the overwhelming number of cats-on-heads photos you guys Tweeted and emailed in during the show. Aside from a drop-by from Heidi and Spencer, a live performance by Soulja Boy Tell 'Em -- who pulled himself away from Twittering long enough to perform "Turn My Swagger On" -- as well as live appearances from Jack Black and human puppy dog Michael Cera, you also got a sense of Alexa Chung's effortless style.

Every day here on the MTV Buzzworthy Blog, I'll be telling you what Alexa wore -- because I know you're already Googling it, Twittering it, and obsessing over it. So, let's get to what Alexa wore today, shall we?

Monday, June 15
It's almost officially summer, but here in New York City, where It's On With Alexa Chung tapes live, it's still chill. So, Alexa opted for a cooler look: a long-sleeved cotton top, black leggings, and sandals. Here's more on what Alexa Chung wore on her show today...

+ Top: Button-down cotton top by Kova & T.

+ Leggings: Alexa wore her leggings by Les Chiffoniers.

+ Jewelry: Alexa's necklace and bracelet by Chan Luu, who makes some amazing rough-hewn accessories using leather, metal, and stones. (I'm loving her new wrap bracelets.)

+ Sandals: Trendsetter Alexa wore her own studded sandals, which she picked up in Australia. Want your own studded sandals? Check out Steve Madden's "Boogle" gladiators for $59.95 a similar look.

+ Tune in tomorrow at 12pm for an appearance by Ashley Tisdale, former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day, and another covet-worthy outfit from Alexa Chung.

A few things you need to know about 19-year-old newcomer Kristinia DeBarge and her new single, "Goodbye," which you may find right at home alongside the likes of Rihanna (you may hear some echoes of "S.O.S" in there) Kat DeLuna, and Danity Kane.

1.) You've heard the song on that Nivea commercial. Trust me, you've heard it.

2.) Kristinia is the daughter of James DeBarge, one of the founding members of '80s R&B pop band DeBarge. (!!!)

3.) "Goodbye" samples the 1969 Steam classic "“Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye," and it's not the only song right now that's using that cut -- Wale's "Chillin'," featuring Lady Gaga, also samples the same song. (Because perhaps there are not enough original songs out there to sample?)

4.) Speaking of Lady Gaga, Kristinia DeBarge's "Goodbye" video was directed by Ray Kay, who also directed Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" video.

5.) In the video, there's a close-up on Kristinia's watch, which is a hot pink Casio Baby-G ($79, Casio Baby-G). Who else rocks the Baby-G? Lady Gaga in her "LoveGame" video.

+ Watch Kristinia DeBarge's "Goodbye" video, and look for Kristinia DeBarge's debut album later this summer. And, after the jump, watch Wale's "Chillin'" video.

+ Calling all cavedwellers: married "Chairman of the Bored" Kris Allen somehow managed to beat truly truly truly glamrageous M.A.C. board member Adam Lambert on last night's American Idol results show. Watch the hilarious 60-second recap! (MTV News)

+ Green Day potentially lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales for refusing to censor their new album so that retail giant Wal-Mart would stock it. Good work, boys. Way to fight "the man." (NME)

+ Speaking of sticking it to "the man," Coldplay announced that they were releasing a FREE 9-song live album as a thank-you to their fans. We know, right? Download it. (Coldplay.com)

+ Bidding has started on a pink dress that was Inspired by Mariah Carey's new fragrance "Luscious Pink" (the dress was also worn by Carey while out to anniversary dinner with hubster Nick Cannon). Good news is that ALL proceeds benefit cancer research foundation Susan G. Komen For The Cure.  (eBay)

+ Making The Band''s D. Woods wasted no time setting the record straight about her feelings toward Diddy and Danity Kane ex-bandmate Dawn Richards. (Bossip)

+ Beyonce is still working her tired "Single Ladies" steez in her new video "Ego." Regardless, she looks hot. (BeyonceOnline)

Flo Rida's new video "Sugar" -- the second single off his sophomore album, R.O.O.T.S. -- is finally out. You know it's sweet, you know it's sexy, and you know it takes place on a beach, but here are more five more facts you need to know about Flo Rida's addictive new cut.

1.) "Sugar" was shot on Miami's South Beach by director Shane Drake, who also shot "Elevator," as well as a seemingly unending list of other major videos, including Panic At The Disco's "Nine In The Afternoon" and Paramore's "Decode" video. But before "Sugar," Shane Drake directed another beach video -- Shwayze's "Corona and Lime video."

2.) At both the "Corona And Lime" video shoot and the "Sugar" video shoot, Shane Drake took off his shirt, establishing what's basically a pattern -- Shane Drake shoots a beach video, director Shane Drake takes off his shirt. Got that, ladies?

3.) The girl who sings the hook on "Sugar" is R&B singer-songwriter Wynter Gordon, who's written songs for Danity Kane and Mary J. Blige. *Bonus Style Fact: At around 0:11 into the video, Wynter's shown wearing a white enamel necklace by Lia Sophia. Other Lia Sophia fans include Miley Cyrus (she wore Lia Sophia bracelets on Good Morning America), Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Patridge, and Leven Rambin.

4.) Flo Rida samples the song "Blue (Da Ba Dee)," which was an unlikely hit in 1999 by Italian electro-pop band Eiffel 65. Despite the fact that the song was the audio equivalent of waterboarding, it became a #1 hit in 10 countries and earned a 2001 Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. Quite unfortunately, it was also covered by Crazy Frog, which never should've happened.

5.) While it's unclear if Flo Rida's a big Ian McCulloch fan, it's not a stretch to assume that Flo borrowed the line "lips like sugar" from the Echo & The Bunnymen hit of the same name.

+ Former Danity Kane member D. Woods provides some terribly blunt revelations about Making The Band and just exactly how real "reality" television is. We applaud her candor. We do not, however, support her new haircut. (Singersroom)

+ Now that Pete Doherty is a Sober Sally, the absolute LAST thing he needs is to be infected with the Swine Flu. NOW GO OUT AND BUY SOME HOG! THE INDUSTRY'S A SUFF'RIN! (Holy Moly)

+ You need to see the trailer for Eminem's new video "3 A.M." It looks like Silent Hill meets a Rob Zombie movie. Pretty creepy (and of course, Em is shirtless). (Rap-Up)

+ As if you needed another reason to head to Austin, TX this year, Pearl Jam and Beastie Boys (along with Dave Matthews Band - meh) are headlining the Austin City Limits Music Festival in October (tix are only $185 for three days.. pretty good for a recesh budgie). Other notables include Lily Allen and John Legend.

+ And here you have it, "the face of digital energy," the official album cover for Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." It's supposed to be a blend of all four band members' faces, but I think it just looks like Fergie after a hard night of drinking, which could explain where her wig went. (Rap-Up)

+ If you're in the market for a creepy Patrick Swayze wax figure (that looks nothing like him but claims to "sport his famous flowing 1980's hairstyle" from Road House), then you have come to the right place! (Live Auctioneers)

+ Ex-Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day is finalizing talks to star in the next season of A Shot At Love. I mean, anything is better than Tila Tequila, right?? (PopCrunch)

+ American Idol alum Jason Castro has been working on his debut album (and no, it's not the cast recording of the musical Hair). (The Music Mix)

+ Eliciting shrill screams everywhere, Britney Spears will be crowned 'Always Now, Forever Next' at Logo's 2009 NewNowNext Awards in June 2009. (LogoOnline)

+ Next in his series of strange-looking magazine covers, Eminem channels his inner lesbian for the new issue of Vibe. (Bossip)

+ And nothing beats a good picture of Christina Aguilera looking a hot mess. Nothing. (Hollywoodtuna)

+ Turns out we're not the only ones guilty of drunk dialing: add Lily Allen to the list. (TeenMusic.com)

+ If you were tethered to a railroad track somewhere and didn't watch the Making The Band 4 season finale, you missed Donnie Klang pulling his shirt up for no reason (we're not complaining) and a tense exchange between Danity Kane ex-members Dawn Richards and Aubrey O'Day. Check out the re-cap. (Remote Control)

+ Haha... Here's some reeeeeeally old footage of Robert Pattinson playing a nerd, trying to earn a buck. You'll love it. (Star Magazine)

+ And on the Twilight tip... No, Kellan Lutz is NOT dating Lindsay Lohan. (Socialite Life)

+ But Linze is evidently "talking" to Samantha Ronson again. For like, six hours. Just "talking." (US Magazine)

+ Even at 16, Miley Cyrus is breaking records all over the place.  She is now the youngest musician ever to have three no. 1albums on the Billboard 200.  Can you guess who previously held the record? (Hint: Think bare feet and Cheetos -- Brit Brit was 19 at the time). (PopCrunch)

+ Records aren't the only thing Britney's lost lately: One of her hair extensions was accidentally ripped out by a dancer on her Circus tour. (Did we ever think her hair was real?) (The Evil Beet)

Guise, we here on earth are faced with some SERIOUS global challenges, and I'm not even talking about nuclear warfare, or climate change, or the fact that, like, most of the world is broke (except for probably Diddy... and Barack Obama, who gave the Queen of England an iPod!).

I'm talking about the fact that THE FUTURE OF DAY 26 REMAINS VERY MUCH IN JEOPARDY! Dudes are fighting harder than Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler! Are they gonna get it together and remain a band of bros? Or will they go the way of Danity Kane?

I don't have the answers, but I do have a brand-new video by Day 26. It's called "Imma Put It On Her," and in it, the Making The Band members, plus Diddy (obvs), make it very clear that whether you're in da club, on da beach, or in Taiwan,  they're gonna put it on you... and then take it right off. I'll raise a glass of Ciroq Obama and toast to that.

Though Britney never TRULY clarifies WHO, exactly, Amy is and why EVERYONE'S doing all that seeking of the Amy in question, she and director Jake Nava ("My Prerogative," and a host of Beyonce videos, including "Crazy In Love," "Beautiful Liar," and "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)") do give us a treasure chest of golden Britney moments. Herewith are my favorite moments of Britney's "If U Seek Amy" video.

5.) The Fox News-Spoofing Intro (0:01) - Seriously, even Britney appears not to take Fox News seriously.

4.) Britney Cleans Her Room (0:41) - Britney picks up some dirty drawers off the floor. Don't judge! It's happened to you too (even if they were yours and not the result of an orgyfest the likes of which not seen since Fiona Apple's "Criminal" video). But at least Britney's tidying up after herself! Even if she did toss them aside a second later. And did you notice the bathtub at the beginning of that scene? Totally reminds me of "Everytime," but less ominous. See! Britney's better! She's moving past her past! And her amazing hair -- totally "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" material. And that last-call dance she does? That little ante room is totally "Me Against The Music," minus Madonna, because she's busy shacking up with that sweet little barely-legal pool boy dude.

3.) Britney's Taste In Furniture (1:41) - That striped sectional sofa Britney and her personal team of cheerleaders is grinding on exudes Britney's sensible taste in contemporary furniture. It's versatile, comfortable, brightens up that family room, and um, stains come right off!

2.) Be Betty Draper: (2:13) - Britney basically morphs into Mad Men's Betty Draper while recalling her 2003 Esquire magazine shoot, which was an homage to the magazine's 1966 Angie Dickinson shoot. (THEN Danity Kane reprised the image AGAIN in 2008! Exhausted yet?)

1.) Be Giada De Laurentiis (3:13) - There is absolutely no reason you can't be smokin' hot and awesome in the kitchen too. Britney demonstrates her ability to do both by baking up a fresh pie. Extra points for remembering to keep that table in tip-top shape by putting down that potholder first. Smart girl.

Those are my five favorite "If U Seek Amy" moments. Yours?

+ Gawd, can the Jonas Brothers get ANY cuter? (uh ... obvs no). Apparently the boyz just released their adorable-licious nicknames for each other: Kevin is "K-2," Joe is "Danger" and Nick is "Mr. President" (Swooning. Me. Now). (Us Magazine)

+ Ewww ... Michael Jackson is allegedly suffering some some nasty skin infection (I just poured hand sanitizer all over my keyboard just in case). (Fametastic)

+ Has "Rapper" Joaquin Phoenix always been this crazy? The dude appeared on David Letterman the other night and, uhm ... wow. (Perez Hilton)

+ Is anyone surprised that Aubrey O'Day is on the cover of Playboy? Didn't think so. (MTV News)

+ Gossip blogger Perez Hilton is teaming up with Britney Spears to collab on a video for her upcoming Circus tour. As per u, he can't shut up about it. (The Hollywood Gossip)

+ Eminem's "don't call it a comeback" single "Crack a Bottle" is #1 with a bullet on The Billboard Hot 100 chart. 50 Cent, who makes a cameo on the track (as of this writing), is not in a feud with Shady, but these things are pretty darn hard to keep track of. Rolling Stone)

+ It seems like Miley Cyrus *still* can't quite shake "Asian-gate oh niners" from our collective brains: now she's being sued for $4 billion dollars (!?) because of the incident. What's next? Margaret Cho writing a song about it? Oh wait ... (D Listed)
