  1. Obsessively blogging about pop music, pop videos, pop stars, and pop culture from inside the MTV headquarters in Times Square. We also have a slight Jonas Brothers problem. And a little fixation with Tokio Hotel.

In this MTV News interview with Demi Lovato, Demi recounts the moment in history when the now-solo but not-broken-up Nick Jonas first told her that his rhymes were so fly and his jeans were so tight and that he wanted her to sing the hook on the Jonas Brothers'  rap parody "Bounce." (Not to be confused with The Cab's "Bounce.")

But there's something far more urgent that needs to be discussed here: it looks like Demi's copped the super deluxe version of The Fame: Monster! No, Demi is not rocking one of Lady Gaga's blond locks (yet), but Lovato is GOING HARD in one of those sparkling hoodie things (a staple of Gaga's look). And Demi went ultra metallic at the 2009 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and at the UK premiere of Hannah Montana: The Movie. And this past week, Demi Lovato showed up to Disney's 2nd Annual Concert For Hope in a gold-and-black metallic top that hearkened back to Lady Gaga's VMA red carpet dress. (Minus the neck brace.)

The Demi interview took place on the set of her "Remember December" video. I'll be rather curious to see if that clip features any walker and crutches-aided choreography.

Just because you LOVE Lil Wayne does NOT mean you need a cake in the likeness of his visage.  While this Lil Wayne cake does have a proper iced-out (GET IT?) grill (and LICORICE for hair -- should I be offended?) they missed the tatted-on tear drops. Boo. No Lil Wayne cake's complete without tat drops.

And who is the lucky recipient of the Lil Wayne cake? Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger's daughter, Ireland, the subject of that nasty "rude, thoughtless little pig" voicemail message from doting dad Alec Baldwin. Because nothing says "I'm sorry" like an edible version of Lil Wayne's head!

Still, the Lil Wayne cake is far superior to this half-assed Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana cake. You can just tell that Miley's Hannah Montana icing wig tastes like glue. Party in the USA, guys!

I hope you ordered heavy-on-the-"whoas," with extra Ryan Cabrera hair, because that's what's on the menu in Push Play's new video, "Midnight Romeo." For the Long Island group's upcoming Found album, lead singer CJ Baran offers... well, I'm not going to call it a "serenade," despite the "Midnight Romeo" title. Why? "Tonight your dinner's free; what's in it for me?" hardly qualifies as "sweet nothings." By the way, Push Play's touring with Jessie James throughout October, so hopefully she'll keep 'em in line.

"Midnight Romeo" takes the garage band, and moves it up to the attic -- an attic that houses none other than Emily Osment, a.k.a. Lilly Truscott from Hannah Montana. The video's also directed by Roman White, who's behind Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me," (... oh yeah, that video), as well as some Carrie Underwood classics like "Before He Cheats." White also directed Osment's video for her upcoming All The Right Wrongs album.

+ Miley Cyrus had quite the party at last night's Teen Choice Awards. Not only did she get to present Britney Spears with a lifetime achievement award, but she also closed out the show with her new single, "Party In The U.S.A.," which featured a stripper pole routine that was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek throwback to her hometown roots. Daddy must be so proud!! (MTV News)

+ The Disney Channel, however (home to her popular <children's>show Hannah Montana), wanted no part of the step-and-twirl and chose to distance itself from the performance. (MTV News)

+ Congrats to Jennifer Hudson for having a baby boy late Monday, who weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs, 14 oz. (E! Online)

+ America's "pocket K-Fed" Aaron Carter is going to be on Dancing With The Stars! You can even watch the workout video he's posted to his Facebook page as he's gearing up for the show. i think I just threw up a little bit. (Zack Taylor)

+ Amerie is looking mighty fine in these latest promo pics for her forthcoming album "In Love & War." (Rap-Up)

+ And in case you missed Victoria's Secret "Angel" Marisa Miller (with fellow halo-hottie Alessandra Ambrosio) on today's episode of It's On With Alexa Chung being as hot as God made them and also being completely likeable, here's Marisa wearing a LOT of jewelry and not much else. Of course it's from CollegeHumor.

+ Demi Lovato has a one-word summer hair tip for you that will end all bad hair days: scrunchie. (Tiger Beat Bop)

+ In other Demi news, if she's cutting again (and the pictures don't lie), this is not good. (Star Magazine)

+ Kind of happy about this one: Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri have FINALLY broken up. GOD. That man was sucking the life out of her! (US Magazine)

+ What the hell was Twisted Sister doing on Regis & Kelly yesterday. (The Rad Report)

+ Great to see Katy Perry playing nice with the designer Katie Perry from the other side of the sandbox, withdrawing her copyright infringement lawsuit just minutes before it was to go to trial. (Socialite Life)

+ Who's laughing now? For all the Miley Cyrus haters, lick this up: Hannah Montana was just nominated for an Emmy. (Ryan Seacrest)

+ And just for Friday S's and G's, here's Cloris Leachman in a one-piece swimsuit at 83 years young. HOLLA! (Seriously? OMG! WTF?)

Heidi Montag can have Playboy. If I'm gonna PUT DOWN my computer mouse and actually PICK UP a magazine (remember those?), it's gonna be this week's issue of Time Out New York. Why? Because the Jonas Brothers took over the weekly New York City magazine, which devoted not one but FOUR separate covers to Nick, Joe, and the newly engaged Kevin Jonas. If the lure of the Jonas Brothers weren't enough temptation for you, check out that crafty Time Out headline: "The Jonas Brothers Quit Music (For Just A Day)." VERY FUNNY, Time Out!

The Jonas Brothers guest-edited Time Out New York's music section, listing music picks from The Zutons (we told you so!) to Matisyahu to the Beastie Boys and Hannah Montana's latest release. (Ahem!) And they also picked their favorite New York restaurant (Quality Meats), and even have theater suggestions for you.

Now the Jonas Brothers might seem like an odd pick for a magazine known for highlighting indie rockers and art-house films (not to mention, often-graphic sexploits, thanks to the brutally, yet completely hysterical no-holds-barred writer Jamie Bufalino). But Michael Freidson, Time Out New York's editor-in-chief had this to say about the magazine's decision to cover the Jonas Brothers on four different covers: "We normally cover 'cool' music and we'll get some reader-flack for including a 'boy band.' But the Brothers say they want to be taken seriously by (and as) adults, and they convinced us. Despite their entourage, they were unguarded, sincere and picked music that Time Out readers will love. If they want to come back to edit another section, they're always welcome. Sex & Dating, maybe?"

Steve Smith, the magazine's music editor, didn't need much convincing. "Whether you love or reject the music, you can't help but see that these guys have serious skills and a real passion for what they do. But what surprised me most was just how deep their enthusiasm runs, how broad their musical tastes actually are — and how remarkably poised and grounded these guys are, given that they're accustomed to a life of being pursued by a throng capable of raising a howl greater than that of the space shuttle lifting off. It was especially satisfying to watch the skeptics among our staff being quietly seduced by the Jonas Brothers' complete candor and charm. And I defy anyone to claim that "Paranoid" is anything less than a classic single, by the way."

And it sounds like Sophie Harris, Time Out New York's music writer, had just about the same reaction to the Jonas Brothers as everyone who meets them: "They're the politest pop stars I've ever met."

So I get that music careers were on the menu at Casa Cyrus: Billy Ray, Miley -- don't forget brother Trace Cyrus of Metro Station -- and now we meet big sister Brandi Cyrus, through indie-pop trio Frank and Derol, (sometimes also referred to as The Band With Miley Cyrus' Older Sister in It -- kidding, kidding... I know Solange suffered her share of "That's great, but tell us about your sister" moments.)

Before joining up with Frank and Derol, 22-year-old Brandi actually played guitar for both Hannah Montana and for Miley's tour, so a musical novice she is not. And with chirpy vocals and downbeat electronic beats, the Frank and Derol trio -- which also consists of Codi Caraco and Megan Park of The Secret Life of The American Teenager -- are hardly churning out "See You Again" knock-offs.

Try "Back and Forth"'s mellow flow for the family differences. Frank and Derol does not shy away from its Cyrus connex or the Cyrus fanbase though -- Frank and Derol opened for Billy Ray this month at The House of Blues in Cali. Hey, it's a foot in the door...

With the LOOOOONG wait for Ashley Tisdale's "It's Alright, It's Ok" video finally over, and the wait for her next album, Guilty Pleasure ALMOST over, let's look at five fast facts about Ashley's new break-up video, "It's Alright, It's OK," okay? Okay! You may be shocked (shocked!) to discover how many Zac Efron connections are contained in just this one video -- and not just because Ashley's in it. Oh, and there's even a Twilight tie-in too!

1.) In the very beginning of the video, Ashley kicks over a garden gnome. Not only are those things scary, but the first garden gnome was made in the Gräfenroda region of Germany in the mid 1800s. A group of gnomes is referred to as a "donsy." (Jeopardy! question alert!)

2.) In the video, Ashley's cheating ex-boyfriend is played by actor Adam Gregory, who's got another Zac Efron connection besides the fact that he's in "It's Alright, It's OK" with Ashley Tisdale -- he was also in 17 Again. WITH ZAC EFRON. Adam Gregory's also on the new 90210. Who was also on 90210? Kellan Lutz -- hello, Twilight tie-in! Adam Gregory was also in Hannah Montana: The Movie (Miley alert!), and was once in a Chili's commercial, apparently.

3.) Can you handle ANOTHER Zac Efron "It's Alright, It's Okay" connection? Good. The video was filmed in L.A., which is WHERE ZAC EFRON LIVES!

4.) One of the guys Ashley takes those revenge photos with is Brazilian underwear model Edilson Nascimento. He's modeled for Guess, but did I also mention he's an underwear model? Because he is. He DEFINITELY is.

5.) "It's Alright, It's OK" was directed by Scott Speer, who also directed V Factory's "Love Struck" video (ahem), as well as Aly & AJ's "Like Woah." Aly and AJ... WENT TO ZAC EFRON'S BIRTHDAY PARTY in 2008! But, back to Ashley Tisdale -- she and Scott Speer are totally dating! Cute!

+ So the big moment that everyone is talking about today is from last night's MTV Movie Awards, when Brüno flew down in what looked like a feathered jock strap and nearly sat on Eminem's face. Let's just say Em didn't wait around to see Zac Efron win for Best Male Performance. (MTV Movie Awards)

+ P.S. Megan Fox doesn't really give a s*** what you thought about her hairdo at the Movie Awards. Suck her Tweet! (US Magazine)

+ Golden Popcorn winner and resident it-girl Miley Cyrus just renewed her Hannah Montana contract for a fourth season with Disney. GIrl ain't no fool! Make that money, honey. (Pop Crunch)

+ Joss Stone is willing to pony up millions of dollars to be let go from her recording contract with label EMI. Add her name to the list of bands or musicians who have left the label since 2007, including the Rolling Stones and Radiohead. (NME)

+ Shy crooner Susan Boyle came in second on Britain's Got Talent, then promptly checked herself into the hospital for going a little exhausted from all the media attention. Get better, Susie. (ICYDK)

+ P!nk slammed Kanye West recently for showing up to a Stella McCartney fashion show wearing fur and talking about how he wished designers used more fur (all while the VP of PETA was sitting in earshot). Whups? (Bossip)

Big, bold bangles mixed with thin bracelets are super in, and some of Buzzworthy's -- and Miley Cyrus' -- favorite bracelets are by Ted Rossi.

Miley wears Ted Rossi's metallic, studded, snakeskin-sexy bracelets by the armful. I'd pile 'em on too if I were worth at least $25 million. They're total statement pieces, and they're slightly girly but totally glam (if you're reading this, Adam Lambert). But you don't have to be a Miley-naire (get it?) to wear at least one Ted Rossi statement piece and then mix it up with a few cheaper pieces.

Need an extra-special piece for prom or graduation? Some of Ted Rossi's Spring 2009 standouts are absolutely his Noir Collection, which range from $128 for the Platinum Python & Pyramid wrap bracelet (at the top) -- Miley wore one to the UK premiere of Hannah Montana: The Movie and to the Madrid premiere -- to $195 for the stunning Ice Python & Black Diamond Swarovski Cosmic wrap bracelet (fifth one down). The last Ted Rossi bracelet is a sneak peek at a wrapped, faceted gem bracelet from his Fall 2009 collection.
