Obsessively blogging about pop music, pop videos, pop stars, and pop culture from inside the MTV headquarters in Times Square. We also have a slight Jonas Brothers problem. And a little fixation with Tokio Hotel.
Last time I caught up with Honor Society was in a basement bathroom. Which actually wasn't as gross as it sounds. Before that, they taught me the Honor Roll (which I still kind of suck at). But yesterday, Honor Society dropped by MTV for a private performance in the MTV music lounge. A handful of staffers were treated to all-acoustic versions of "Over You," "Two Rebels," and "See U In The Dark" (and great leather jackets!) Oh, and Andrew had a cool pear shaker! I want one! After that, Honor Society jetted off to their sold-out New York show, where they also had their fans bring canned food. (Such a good idea. You listening, "other bands"?)
Check out these exclusive photos of Jason Rosen, Alexander Noyes, Michael Bruno, and Andrew Lee warming up before their private performance at MTV, and watch their brand-new video, "Over You" (again).

Jonas Brothers bros' and (Buzzworthy besties) Honor Society just premiered their brand-new video for their track "Over You." As the lead-off song on their debut full-length Fashionably Late, "Over You" is a bouncing, sleek jam.
Color this song maroon, as in Maroon 5; it's got that same crisp beat and stylish/sexy singing, with a slightly more pop feel.
In the video for "Over You," directed by Shane Drake (who directed Paramore's "Decode" video and "crushcrushcrush"), Honor Society kicks out the jams in the dining car of a train while Michael Bruno chases down a lady in red who's caught his eye. Come on, girl! He wants to buy you extra toppins at Pinkberry!
FACT #2: The Jonas Brothers run on pure energy. (And occasionally Dunkaroos.) So apparently their idea of a day off is a game of kickball with fans. (Win!) And, as always, giving back. Which is why the Jonas Brothers spent this past Sunday, October 11 engaged in two rousing games of kickball as part of the Verizon and LG "Kick for Change" event in Connecticut, where they distributed more than $1 million to nationwide charities through their Change for the Children Foundation. And among the fans that played JB kickball were members of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the United Way, and Special Olympics.
As any good Jonas fan knows, when the Jonas Brothers play softball, they're the Road Dogs, but when they're in kickball mode, they're the Kickballers. And as the Kickballers, they won one game and lost one to the fans, but either way, JB fans still won.

You've probably got every word, breath, and beat of Honor Society's debut album, Fashionably Late, memorized at this point. You probably even think you know all there is to know about Fashionably Late. You know that the Jonas Brothers executive produced the album, that the Jonas Brothers lend their vocals to "See You In The Dark," and that "See You In The Dark" comes with its own dance.
But hearing Alexander Noyes say that "Full Moon Crazy" is about "where you're just like, 'Man that person is just crazy. I've been dating a crazy person'" is a gentlemen's gem that should take your obsessive Honor Society knowledge to varsity level.
Watch Michael Bruno, Andrew Lee, Jason Rosen, and Alexander Noyes take you on a track-by-track tour of their debut album, Fashionably Late. And catch them on their "Fashionably Late" fall tour now with Esmee Denters.
Earlier today at Radio City Music Hall, while rehearsals for the 2009 MTV VMAs were going on upstairs, I caught up with All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat outside of the "gentlemen's lounge," which is just a fancy way of saying bathroom. I like to interview celebrities outside of bathrooms because I like to keep things classy. And All Time Low always keeps things classy, so we pretty much went straight into talking about puking.
Watch Jack and Alex predict the future and in this case, how they wanna see 3OH!3 win Best New Artist at the 2009 VMAs. Plus, how they might end their night -- with some drinking and barfing.

After I caught up with Honor Society at the VMA radio forum at Radio City today, I got a few minutes to chat with Justin Bieber, who's just as adorable in person -- IF NOT MORE -- as you'd think he is. He'll be presenting at the2009 MTV VMAs on Sunday, September 13, and since he's only 15 this will be his first-ever VMAs. (I mean, how many more VMAs can you have under your white studded belt when you're just 15?)
Check out this MTV Buzzworthy Blog video to see what Justin Bieber had to say about going to the VMAs and what he may or may not wear Sunday night.
Best Friday before VMAs ever!!! I'm back at Radio City, and downstairs the yearly radio forum, which is the massive press and artist cattle call -- a one-stop shop, if you will, where if you're press or a radio DJ, you can interview boys like girls, CJ from the real world or Hanson in the same room! Or, if you're me, you can interview HONOR SOCIETY!!!
First I saw Michael Bruno -- who was wearing a bad-ass black leather jacket and asked if I remembered the Honor Roll (sooo hard!) -- Alexander Noyes, Jason Rosen, and Andrew Lee , and we headed to the "gentlemen's lounge," which is a super posh trillion-year-old bathroom that's the size of a high school gym and looks like a museum.
Ok, so sad news first -- Honor Society will not be at the VMAs. Good news: they're rehearsing for their shows back in California. (More sad news: it's still impossible to physically be in two places at once) but Honor Society did share their pick for Best New Artist-- Lady Gaga!
UPDATE: Check out Honor Society in the "Gentlemen's Lounge" at Radio City!I'll have a video of my Honor Society interview coming soon but until then, check out these photos of the guys in the gentlemen's lounge at Radio City.
You probably know more about Honor Society than Michael Bruno, Alexander Noyes, Jason Rosen, and Andrew Lee know about themselves (side effect of bands that hang out with the Jonas Brothers.)
But just in case a few Honor Society fun facts slipped by you, see why they don't technically play "shows," why the guys carry dollar bills with them at all times, and why they need to find a new apartment. Bonus points for you if you already know which member of Honor Society played the flute!

Buzzworthy besties HONOR SOCIETY are well into their Full Moon Crazy Tour, but they still found the time to remember the little people. And by the little people, we mean us. Why? Because the men of Honor Society are angels who pose as men on earth. There. The secret's out. Here's what Michael Bruno (happy belated birthday!), Alexander Noyes, Jason Rosen, and Andrew Lee had to tell us about Honor Society's life on the road and the big build up to their upcoming debut album, Fashionably Late. I want to believe that someone was wearing jorts when this tour diary was written, by the way...
Hey MTV, it's Honor Society, coming to you from the road. A quick review for those of you who don't know we're on the Jonas Brothers World Tour '09 as well as our own headlining Full Moon Crazy Tour (why do one tour when you can do two at the same time!)
Things have been exciting lately, we got to do two shows in Detroit in one day: a matinee show for our Full Moon Crazy tour which ROCKED, the fans were incredible, and then we raced over to the Palace at Auburn Hills at played for 15,000 people opening for the Jonas Brothers!
Right after the show we hopped on a plane to New York City for our album cover photo shoot. It's our debut album, called Fashionably Late, and it comes out September 15th, GO GET IT! You can pre-order the album at honorsocietymerch.com.
The photoshoot was incredible and really completed the artistic vision we had for the record. There's great imagery and symbolism that our fans will love.
