+ In her upcoming memoir Miles to Go (and is there a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g this girl can't do?), Miley Cyrus clears up any "weirdness" rumors regarding her relationship with her dad Billy Ray: "For me, my dad is not weird at all." (D Listed)

+ Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are already taking their PTA responsibilities pretty seriously: Baby numero dos is on the way! (Us Magazine)

+ We think Jessica Simpson looks gorge! But, uhm, Richard Simmons kinda compared her to his 268-pound former fat self... AND is "praying for her." OUCH. (The Superficial)

+ We are srsly loving these vintage high school pics of Lady Gaga from waaay before she discovered lavender lipstick or Minnie Mouse hair bows. (Perez Hilton)

+ After Shaquille O'Neil (@The_Real_Shaq) and Notorious B.I.G (@NotoriousBIG), our fave Twitter celeb is MC Hammer. He really kinda rules. Which is why we're so stoked that the dude just got his own reality show on A&E called (wait for it....): Hammertime! (Evil Beet)

+ If, like us, you've never *quite* been able to get over the awesomeness that was Michael Jackson's Off the Wall album, you will probably be pretty psyched to hear that the gloved/masked one might be doing a bunch of concerts this summer in London. If you're like everyone else on the planet and don't give a crap, you probably just wanna get back to your Miley Cyrus memoir... right... now. (Fafarazzi)

+ Is Chris Brown trying to win Rihanna back? With jewelry? (Seriously, dude?) (Hip-hop Chronicle)

+ We had never heard of Ahmir before, but this R&B remake of Britney Spear's "Womanizer" is made of pure awesomeness. (Poor Britney)

Remember that one episode of The Hills where everyone met up a swish hotel bar and did shots? Wait... let me elaborate -- recall, please, The Hills, Season 3, Episode 6 (air date 9/15/2008, for those of you keeping track), when Audrina organized a super-massive party featuring a performance by The White Tie Affair. (And Justin Bobby NEVER SHOWED, natch.) Nowww it's all coming back, right?

Anyway, The White Tie Affair falls under the tutelage of Audrina at Epic Records, and Audrina herself was on hand on the tres L.A. set of their new-new video, "Candle (Sick and Tired)." Also there: superfan Stephanie Pratt, and Good Charlotte's Joel and Benji Madden, who make quick cameos in the new video. Watch it below, and check out an old-school Buzzworthy interview with The White Tie Affair.

+ Rumor has it Britney Spears has a new man! According to the U.K. tabs, Brit's dating "Womanizer" choreographer Sandip Soparrkar, a comely Indian fellow whom she's already nicknamed "Sandy." (The Mirror - UK)

+ Breaking: Nicole Richie occasionally sends her boyfriend sexy texts! Also, she apparently loves shoes. Jeez, who IS this girl? (ICYDK)

+ Christina Aguilera to maybe, possibly design her own line in the U.K.! Question: Are we 100% sure she's over that whole assless chaps phase? (Refinery29)

+ It's hypothetical New Year's Resolution time! Find out what we think Lauren Conrad & the Hillzies need to work on in '09. (Remote Control)

+ Meanwhile, Britney Spears' (actual) 2009 New Year's Resolution is to stop biting her nails. SAME AS US! Britney, call us! We'll go to an NBA (Nailbiters Anonymous) meeting sometime! Or, you know, just talk. (OK!)

+ Vacay time! Katy Perry rocks the green bikini/weird hat look in the dunes of Mexico while Lily Allen goes topless in Jamaica. (Yeeeah)

+ John Mayer finds a way to ruin Mariah Carey's already-cheesy Christmas classic. (IDLYITW)

+ And in other Mimi-related news, speculation over her maybe-pregnancy runs rampant after her hubby orders himself a lame-o virgin daiquiri. (Scandalist)

+ Kanye West takes to the blogosphere to clear up rumors that he'll be partying it up tonight. His actual New Year's Eve plans? Sit at home and watch some hoops. (Contact Music)

While Total Finale Live was getting live for last time (and tipsy too!) just a few feet away, I got a chance to talk to Joel and Benji Madden about growing up Good Charlotte throughout the years on TRL.

See what the Madden brothers had to say about coming back to the show for the last time and the way the show acted as a social network in the days before Facebook and MySpace even existed (can you IMAGINE?).

Total Finale Live is halfway over, but the party's barely started backstage. Here's everything you won't see on camera that's happening backstage right now...

+ 10:30-something? WTRL? The show's OVER? I'm off to go get these interviews up for you -- Good Charlotte, TAI's Sisky, Nelly, and more. Read the always-hilarious Jim Cantiello's play-by-play of the show for more!

+ 10:01 Ludacris chills on the couch in the green room and watches 50 Cent perform while Kid Rock looks on, smoking a cigar.

+ 9:58 Just when 50 Cent is finally making his way toward the studio, Kid Rock shows up.  "Ohhhh. I never met this guy before," Kid says.  When the two greet each other, Kid Rock tells 50, "Eminem always tells me I need to meet you when I'm in Detroit."

+ 9:52 Hilary Duff was reminiscing about her first TRL experience -- standing in front of the big window facing Broadway while the fans cheered for her on the street. "I didn't ever want to leave the window!"

+ 9:44 50 Cent and Diddy met each other during a MTV News interview outside of the studio. 50 joked to Diddy about trying to get his spot producing shows at MTV, then they both laughed about who's making the most money.  After Diddy left, 50 had a question for the crowd in the hallway -- "Ok, be honest. Who's cooler? Me or Puff?"

+ 9:34 Justin Timberlake was dancing in his dressing room to Snoop's "Drop It Like It's Hot."

+ 9:27 Snoop Dogg is patiently posing for photo after photo after photo....

+ 9:20 Ludacris is signing a TRL yearbook while JC Chasez chills in the VIP room.

+ 9:16 Teyana Taylor's testing out the TRL photo booth!

+ 9:10 We The Kings are talking shop with Joel and Benji Madden from Good Charlotte.

+ 9:00 The Academy Is ... bassist Adam Siska was the man behind the Pete Wentz mask!

+ 8:45 Snoop Dogg says he thinks they should convert the times square studio in to a club (and he should be made part owner for coming up with the idea). Also, Nelly says he's gonna miss the energy of TRL and seeing the fans and artists coming together in such a way.

+ 8:40 No Pete Wentz, but definitely a man wearing a Pete mask when Fall Out Boy came down to the TRL studio during the show. The guys had just a few minutes to make their rounds before everyone went down to the street for their performance.

+ 8:37 As Justin Timberlake went to his dressing room, Diddy walked out of another room and greeted manager Johnny Wright.

+ 8:35pm Justin Timberlake just came in the TRL studios... one VIP saw him and told her friend, "oh my God. Justin Timberlake is here."

+ 8:27 Benji and Joel Madden were doing an interview at the TRL stage door when Joel's ex, Hilary Duff, walked by within inches! Looked over her shoulder straight-faced and blew by.

We’re just bittersweet DAYS from the real-deal last-ever episode of TRL -- this Sunday, November 16 at 8pm ET. So, here’s everything you need to know about who’s performing and appearing on the star-studded two-hour boo-hoo fest that’ll close the door on TRL forever-ever.

OLD-SCHOOL PLAYERS:
Old enough to remember Carson Daly? (Come on. You’re not THAT young!) Good. because the pioneering TRL host will be back in the house to co-host the night's farewell festivities, along with Damien Fahey. And a parade of co-hosts and VJs, including Lyndsey Rodrigues, Vanessa Minnillo, Dave Holmes, Jesse Camp, Hilarie Burton (Peyton!!), Susie Castillo, La La Vasquez and Quddus (soooo hot! – ed.) will be stopping by to reflect, reminisce, and see how their old dressing rooms held up.

PERFORMERS:
Beyonce/ Sasha FIERCE will be performing live, which is simply unMISSABLE, speaking of which, so is the Backstreet Boys' performance (minus Kevin –- frowny face! It's been too long guys, and you've so shown me the meaning of being lonely!) Anyway, ALSO Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Nelly will be teaming up for a one-night-only three-way performance, not to be outdone by the monied, the powerful 50 Cent’s live performance or Fall Out Boy’s in-studio performance.

ALSO APPEARING:
Diddy -- the unofficial godfather of TRL -- will make his 37th (and final!!) TRL appearance. A glittering Mariah Carey will be there too, as well Justin Timberlake AND JC Chasez, which is like two-fifths of *NSYNC! Country-pop princess Taylor Swift, the always-glam Hilary Duff, Good Charlotte's Benji and Joel Madden (cordially, I’m sure), Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst, and Korn's Jonathan Davis will all be in the soon-to-be-shuttered TRL studio to give the show the send off it deserves, while Christina Aguilera and Travis Barker will join the party via the magic of satellite, however that works.

+ Too depressed to remember that Total Finale Live is this Sunday, November 16 at 8pm ET? Embed this noise, AND come back heyah to the MTV Buzzworthy blog this Sunday for celebrity interviews, photos, and more behind-the-scenes access to the big TRL farewell.

No lie, this thing is starting to look like the VMAs! MTV has just confirmed 50 Cent will be among the performers on the insanely nostalgic and crazily star-studded live TRL finale, which, as you already know, will be happening in our Times Square Studios on Sunday, November 16 at 8 pm ET.

And what would an MTV party be without Diddy? It wouldn't be squat, so that's why Mr. Combs will be on hand to reminisce with hosts Carson Daly and Damien Fahey about his 36 -- that's right, 36 -- appearances on TRL over the last decade. And in case you're wondering, that's the standing record for most appearances on the show.

Also new to the guest list is country-pop heartthrob Taylor Swift, as well as pop sweetheart (and LGBT defender) Hilary Duff, as well as a TRL VJ role call of epic proportions: Lyndsey Rodrigues, Vanessa Minnillo, Dave Holmes, Jesse Camp, Hilarie Burton, La La Vasquez and Quddus. Yes, you read that correctly, Jesse Camp.

And let's not forget performances by Fall Out Boy, Beyonce and the Backstreet Boys, and appearances by Ludacris (who previously announced he was performing, but it seems he's just stopping in for the party), Mariah Carey, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Benji and Joel Madden, Fred Durst, Jonathan Davis of Korn and more!

Don't miss it!

[UPDATE: An earlier version of this post incorrectly indicated that Kevin Richardson would be on hand as part of Total Finale Live. Buzzworthy apologizes for any confusion this misinformation may have caused.]

Wake up, Backstreet fans! In less than a month from now, Backstreet Boys -- the band that's synonymous with O.G. TRL, stark-raving mad fans, lockstep dance moves and synchronized sultry stares — will return to TRL!

Way before the Jonas Brothers bit us with their lil "Lovebug" and had all of Times Square "Burnin' Up," Backstreet Boys laid down the law of love, imploring girls around the world to "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)."

And on the bittersweet TRL finale on Sunday, November 16, Backstreet Boys will perform live again on the TRL stage, one last time before the TRL lights go dark forever. (Sniff!)

Also, don't miss performances by Fall Out Boy, Beyonce, and Ludacris, and appearances by Mariah Carey, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Benji and Joel Madden, Fred Durst, Jonathan Davis of Korn and more!

Carson Daly himself will be there, along with Damien, Lyndsey, and a motley crew of TRL and old-school MTV alum -- like Quddus -- will be stopping by.

Check out two classic Backstreet Boys videos and watch more BSB videos here -- Backstreet's (almost) back, y'all!

+ For what it's worth, Selena Gomez thinks Miley Cyrus' model boyfriend (get it??) Justin Glaston is "really cute." (Usmagazine.com)

+ Meanwhile, Miley's pop/manager Billy Ray has a friendly stern reminder for his daughter: she should be focused on her career, not on boys. Yeeesh, no wonder she's supposedly moving out. (The Sun - UK)

+ If oft-shot rapper 50 Cent finds you intimidating, you're probably something right. (MTV News)

+ Good Charlotte twinsies Benji and Joel Madden open up about dating Simple Life alum Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton. And in true Madden style, Joel admits he never thought Benji had a chance with Paris. "I didn't think she be into him," he muses insensitively. (E! News via Red Lasso)

+ With 1 million albums sold in just seven days, it's official: Lil Wayne is having the Best Week Ever. (MTV)

+ Led Zeppelin guitarist hints that the band may be touring in '09. Unfortunately, nobody told lead singer Robert Plant. (NME)

+ 50 Cent describes his meeting of the minds with Nelson Mandela as "enlightening." No word yet on whether Mandela felt the same way. (MTV)
