The 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show went down in New York City last night, and in case you're not familiar with the year event don't get it twisted -- the pieces modeled by famous hoofers like Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Marissa Miller, and Chanel Iman aren't the stuff of Victoria's Secret mall locations. These ladies aren't showing off the polka-dotted cotton undies you stock up on at your location VS.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which will air on CBS on December 1, is always an over-the-top celebration of gaudy glitz and glam and beyond-perfect bodies. And the annual show is a guaranteed celeb draw -- Jay-Z, Russell Simmons, Jay Sean, Keri Hilson, the Kings Of Leon, Patricia Field, Zac Posen and Christian Siriano were in attendance this year -- but this year, the show's "Star Trooper" collection seemed to have stolen its style, or at least heavily borrowed some inspiration from Lady Gaga and the Haus of Gaga. Observe, won't you?

Selita Ebanks wears a gold-spiked white bustier that looks an awful lot like the gold-spiked dress Lady Gaga wore to the Y100 Jingle Ball in December 2008. And that white bustier leotard looks just like Gaga's outfit in Beyonce's "Video Phone" video.

Hm. This bubble dress SURE looks familiar...

The Pièce de résistance!!! Gaga's Nasir Mazhar orb outfit from the "Bad Romance" video is reinvented on the Victoria's Secret catwalk!

From wet paint to silver spikes to see-through lace and snoods, fashion at the 2009 MTV VMAs was avant garde, revealing, and capable of drawing blood (and at times all three!)

Check out the best, the weirdest, and the barely dressed at the 2009 MTV VMAs. It's Buzzworthy's first-ever VMA Fashion Awards! And check out PART 2, with fashion wins by Beyonce, Madonna, Olivia Palermo and more!

BEST USE OF SILVER: SHORT FORM: KRISTIN CAVALLARI
True, she wasn't a nominee, and she's not a musician, but resident Hills villianess Kristin Cavallari stole the show before it even started in her silver sequined mini dress.
Watch Kristin on the VMA red carpet.

BEST USE OF SILVER: LONG FORM: TAYLOR SWIFT
Taylor Swift, in a Kaufman Franco dress accented by Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, went for a silver-screen siren look and lived out a fairy tale adventure that night, braving Cinderella hardships up against Kanye but emerging the belle of the ball by the end of the night. (TEAM TAYLOR!)
+ Watch Taylor Swift on the VMA red carpet.

MOST DANGEROUSLY SEXY: KATY PERRY
Katy Perry followed the night's silver trend, but took it to a potentially painful level in her spiked silver mini dress by The Blonds.
+ Watch Katy Perry on the VMA red carpet.

MOST SUBTLE: AMBER ROSE
Get it? Subtle? Because Amber Rose wasn't subtle at all! Paradoxically though, she managed to cover up her almost her entire body while exposing almost her entire body all at the same time! Maybe she really IS from another planet.

LEAST IN NEED OF SLEEVES: JENNIFER LOPEZ
This Louis Vuitton situation reminds me of when you get your neck stuck in an armhole, except usually when that happens you're free to experience your shame in the privacy of a dressing room. Not on a red carpet. Oh wells. At least Jennifer Lopez's makeup was fuh-lawless.
+ Watch Jennifer Lopez on the VMA red carpet.

MOST NEAR A WARDROBE MALFUNCTION: KERI HILSON
Keri Hilson, in a Charlotte Ronson jumpsuit, certainly has the body for the peekaboo sensation, but still, I saw her hugging lil Justin Bieber on the red carpet, and I was bracing myself for a "big reveal."
+ Watch Keri Hilson on the VMA red carpet.

CUTEST NEWCOMER: JUSTIN BIEBER
Squee!
+ Watch Justin Bieber explain how he's "just wearing clothes" on the VMA red carpet.

MESSIEST/ MOST PAINTERLY: TIE! PEREZ HILTON & THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS' TYSON RITTER
Perez, in a tea garden blazer, went all matchy-matchy, carefully coordinating his yellow Doc Marten boots to coordinate with his... hands. Tyson Ritter had a run-in with some arts supplies. Rawk.

In his brand-new video, "She Don't Wanna Man," off his debut album, Asleep In The Bread Aisle, Asher Roth upgrades his party venue from college campus to club scene. But unlike the pantydropping prowess he displayed in "I Love College," Asher Roth gets the ice-cold Heisman from Keri Hilson, who's clearly not interested in what's going on under his baggies. Which is fine, because Asher Roth and Keri Hilson look like they have about as much chemistry as my great aunt and my dry cleaner.

Okay. Watch "She Don't Wanna Man." Oh yeah -- Are there fat-chick jokes in the song? Is there a midget in the video? Are there a half-dozen beers in a six-pack? Well of course there are.

Fabolous has a new video out. It's called "Everything, Everyday, Everywhere," it's from his much-Tweeted-about new album Loso's Way, and it features Keri Hilson and Ryan Leslie. Oh yeah: and it's boring. I mean, NOTHING HAPPENS.  The most excited I got was during the line "Somebody better tell 'em that we in this b+tch like an unborn baby" and at the gratuitous shot of Rick Ross' beard, but shots of Rick Ross' beard are like a dime a dozen.

The video takes place in a club. A club where NOTHING HAPPENS. No one even spills a drink. The opening quote about paparazzi at the beginning of the video suggests there might be some kind of high-speed chase or at least a theme or story arc. But no. Nothing. Happens. At all. If you want a continuous story arc, watch Fabolous' "Throw It In The Bag." No story here though. In fact, it kinda looks like it was shot on someone's cell phone. I'm sorry. I'm just being reasonable and honest with you. Like my last relationship, "Everything, Everday, Everywhere" goes nowhere and leaves me confused. Plus I'm annoyed with Fabolous because it should be "Every Day," not "Everyday."

Oh yeah, that is NOT Chris Brown in the video, okay? Chris Brown is BASKING in the unintentional success of the "Forever" wedding dance, okay? That is Trey Songz.

Okay. If you strictly only have like FOUR MINUTES to watch ONE video today, I'd say watch the "Young'n" video. Or Shakira's "She Wolf" video. Or watch "Everything, Everyday, Everywhere," and tell me if I'm missing the point. (Is there a point?)

FINALLY! Ashley Tisdale addressed those nasty Cobra Starship copycat accusations on today's episode of It's On With Alexa Chung, stating that she hadn't really heard of them... until she had. (Good save!) The Tiz, who's in Boys Like Girls' new video, Christian Finnegan, Keri Hilson, and Alexa's STUNNING platforms were almost too much to handle on what would've been an otherwise snoozetastic Tuesday. Good thing you tuned in. Here's what Alexa wore today.

Tuesday, July 28
+ Shirt: Marni
+ Shorts: Levi's
+ Shoes: Marni

If that Marni face shirt Alexa wore on the show today looks familiar, it's because you also saw it on Alexa in British Vogue. Can't shell out the pounds/ Euros/ bucks for Marni? Try this face tee instead. It's by Junk Food, and it's $24 at TheDenimShop.com.

Or, get this face t-shirt from Forever21.com. It's got eight faces on it, and it's $10.90. That works out to barely a buck a face!

Alexa's amazing shoes are also Marni, but if the heels and price are too high, how's bout these Charles David Mary Jane platforms. $137 at Endless.com.

I'm also feeling on these Maloles two-tone suede Mary Janes. Like a lot. They're $190 at Farfetch.com, and when I sleep tonight, they will dance in my dreams.

We've got SO much to discuss regarding internationally-flavored group Paradiso Girls. I will try to remain composed, but I have such an investment in these girls that I may chick out at some point...

Let's ease in with the video for "Patron Tequila," from the quintet's debut album, Crazy Horse... Wait, first I want some credit: I was an early adopter of this track, even texting uninterested parties: I am obsessed with this ridiculous song that Keri Hilson wrote about puking from margaritas ... which is what "Patron Tequila is about.

Watch the video below for a little Eve and Lil Jon, as well as Paradiso's hip-thrusting fiend of a lead vocalist (on this track), Aria Crescendo. Now it's cool each of the five Paradiso Girls is of a separate nationality, but I'm only going to discuss two: Aria, born in Paris, raised in Transylvania (I didn't make that up), and Chelsea Korka, the group's sole United States-ian.

I remember Aria from a gay-ish music video a few years back, "Girl I Told Ya" by Valeria (just gay-ish, as in Katy Perry, wink-wink, we-might-be-two-girls-who-actually-hook-up-at-"sleepovers" gay).

Now here comes my inappropriate investment: Chelsea, if she looks familiar to you, was straight-up robbed on the first season of The Pussycat Dolls: The Search for The Next Doll. I didn't watch -- I couldn't watch -- Season 2 of that show out of outrage and protest. Chelsea was my girl; now, as a Paradiso, sweet revenge is MINE!

Anyway, like The Pussycat Dolls, Paradiso Girls is a Robin Antin production, and it was sort of built around Aria. Working with Interscope and will.i.am, Paradiso auditioned and recruited the four other members you see now. Since then, the girls scored a featured spot on DJ Space Cowboy's "Falling Down" and made their TV debut on LOGO's 2009 NewNowNext Awards. Check out the live performance, with a lead-in from none other than RuPaul. Whut?

By the way, just one year ago, Lady GaGa made her TV debut on the NNN Awards. Could be a good sign...

+ Ricky Martin (remember him) kind of came out. (Popnography)

+ Open mouth, insert foot:  Joe Jonas accidentally blabbed on Larry King Live that his little brother Nick Jonas was indeed dating Miley Cyrus again. LOVE IT! (US Magazine)

+ Justin Timberlake refuses to play golf with girlfriend Jessica Biel because she kicks his ass everytime. (PopCrunch)

+ Here's a shocker: Lauren Conrad just dished on The View that Spencer Pratt's apology on the last episode of The Hills was... GASP! STAGED! (Ryan Seacrest)

+ Um, a dead body was found during the clean-up after this year's Bonnaroo festival? So creepy! (NME)

+ Keyshia Cole pulled out all the stops on the L.A. leg of her current U.S. tour.  Friends like Keri Hilson, Nas, and Diddy were all in attendance to help the singer put on a star-studded show. Wish we could have gone! (Rap-Up)

Because I have a secret girly-girl side and because I'm nosy by nature, I've asked Lily Allen and Keri Hilson to dump out the contents of their purses in my presence so I could investigate all the cool personal stuff they carry around. Seriously -- WHAT is more fun than rummaging through someone's purse -- in a non-theft-ish way -- and poring over all of their fun and stylish items?

And somehow, it's like Hayley Williams -- one of my favorite girly-but-not-gag-me-girly-but-still-super-cool girls -- KNEW I wanted to know what her makeup stash looked like because she uploaded a photo to Twitter and shared it with me! (Um, and the rest of Twitterverse.)

I spotted some MAC (loves!) and some Urban Decay in there, but I fangirled out when I saw some of my favorite cheap-n-chic nail polish in there -- that mint green nail polish definitely looks like it's LA Girl "Flare" nail polish -- my favorite opaque bright nail polish because it's LOUD and comes in neon and fluorescent shades the colors of Popsicles, which are parfaits for summer (both the colors AND the Popsicles). AND L.A. Girl doesn't test on animals, which means zero guilt when your widdle cute puppy wooks you at you wif his puppy doggie eyes as you paint your nails all Paramore-y.

Want Hayley-inspired nails? Get a three-pack for $9.99 at UrbanOutfitters.com, or pick up individual colors at Urban Outfitters and Forever 21 -- or, as I like to refer to it, "El Siempre" -- or online at Cherryculture.com.

(P.S. -- It looks like the shade Hayley has is "Gleaming.")

Fabolous just released his latest video, "Throw It In The Bag," off his soon-to-be-released comeback album, Loso's Way. The "Throw It In The Bag" video features Fabolous and a foxy female with a flair for the five-fingered discount. Here are five fast facts you need to know about "Throw It In The Bag." (And shoplifting.)

1.) The lawbreaking female lead in "Throw It In The Bag" is model/ actress Claudia Jordan from Deal or No Deal -- she usually holds briefcase 1 -- and Celebrity Apprentice season 2.

2.) The-Dream sings the hook. Clearly. And he also appears in the video. (Side note: Is The-Dream to 2009 was T-Pain was to 2008?)

3.) The-Dream's girlfriend, Christian Milian, was on the set of the "Throw It In The Bag" shoot, as was Ryan Leslie.

4.) "Throw It In The Bag" was directed by Erik White, who also directed Keri Hilson's "Turnin' Me On" video and a handful of Chris Brown videos. But we won't hold that against him.

5.) "Throw It In The Bag" was shot in the Meatpacking District of New York City. In New York, if you get busted for shoplifting, you can get nailed with Petite Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree, which are both class "A" misdemeanors, punishable by up to one year in jail. (In the video, Fabolous' girl only appears to spend a few hours in jail and still leaves looking hot.) If the stolen goods retail for more than $1000 (and they probably were well over $1000 in the Meatpacking District), the charges can be Grand Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property In the Fourth Degree -- felonies punishable by up to four years in prison. Know that.

Recently, more's been made of Jessica Simpson's weight and denim cut-off short shorts than the fact that Arizona State University denied President Obama an honorary degree. Vanity Fair writer Rich Cohen even managed to use the word "fat" three times in one paragraph in his recent Jessica Simpson profile! Wow. It took him several more PARAGRAPHS to even get to the word "beautiful," which feels like a bit of an oversight, no?)

Seriously, who CARES how much Jessica Simpson weighs? Sure, she should've fired her stylist over the Mom Jeans incident of January 2009, but the girl was born gorgeous and looks great at any weight. And Jessica Simpson in short-shorts? Even better. Hello? She even PLAYED Daisy Duke. Why? Because girl's got legs for months.

So, while ASU skipped over Obama, we're giving Jessica Simpson Buzzworthy's all-time favorite short-shorter award. And she's also the official inspiration behind some of our all-time favorite short-shorts videos by Katy Perry, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Vanessa Hudgens, Gwen Stefani, Aerosmith and more...

Jessica Simpson -- "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" -- True, The Dukes of Hazzard movie was a total flop (or a box office smash if you're measuring it against the Glitter yardstick!) but Jessica did get in absolutely bananas shape to play Daisy Duke in the movie and its resultant video, which was so overtly sexy (duh -- Brett Ratner directed it) that it ended up banned in several countries. And true, the remake doesn't do the original much justice (I'm fairly confident the Nancy Sinatra version doesn't mention anything about "double Ds"), but sharing a set with Willie Nelson and the General Lee is still worth something, right? (Right?)

Katy Perry -- "Hot 'N' Cold" -- Katy Perry pulled off an impressive feat in her "Hot 'N" Cold" video; she managed to wear short-shorts in just about EVERY scene, including the scene where she tears off her wedding dress to reveal a hidden pair of white short-shorts -- which wind up being the perfect thing to wear while chasing her wayward groom down the street. And walking a zebra, obvs.

Britney Spears -- "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" -- I won't let YOU be the last to know that at NO point in her 2001 "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" beach video, directed by the late Herb Ritts (he also directed Madonna's "Cherish" and Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" videos) does Britney wear pants at ALL. In just a bikini top and a pair of I-can't-believe-they're-not-drawers cut-off shorts, Britney rolls around in the sand with French model Brice Durand. The video resulted in a TRL #1 hit for Britney, as well as what was probably a LOT of sand stuck inside dark, uncomfortable places.

Christina Aguilera -- "Can't Hold Us Down" -- Christina Aguilera rocked an extreme... ly short pair of pink ones in her 2003 video, "Can't Hold Us Down." But what Christina lacked in shorts she made up for with old-school knee-high tube socks. True to the named Stripped -- Christina's 2002 album which featured "Can't Hold Us Down" -- Lil' Kim, who guested on the track and co-stars in the video -- puts Christina's short-shorts to shame when she throws open her robe and reveals little more than a teeny weeny bikini. And a superfluous belt. She's subtle, that Kim!

Beyonce -- "Crazy In Love" -- In her 2003 "Crazy In Love" video, featuring Jay-Z, Beyonce wears a pair of barely there denim short-shorts. And my guess is that her choreographer stuffed the pockets of said shorts with fire ants because Beyonce writhes around on the ground, spazzes out, and almost twerks her way out of those shorts for nearly the entire duration of the time she spends in them. "Crazy In Love" won three 2003 VMAs (the VMAs where Britney and Madonna made out!) by the way -- Best R&B Video, Best Choreography, and Best Female Video.

Keri Hilson -- "Knock You Down" -- Keri Hilson looks like she frequently skips dessert and never skips a workout. Plus, if you've seen her "Energy" video, then you're fully aware that she's a lady boxer. (Plus, she shleps around a CRAPload of nail polish everywhere she goes.) Therefore her short-shorts are practically a necessity.

Vanessa Hudgens -- "Sneakernight" -- Which did you notice first in Vanessa Hudgens' "Sneakernight" video? Vanessa's light-up sneakers, or her micro-mini super-duper short-shorts? Or the fact that "Sneakernight" sounds exactly like Nikka Costa's "Like A Feather"?
