First of all, let it be known that Janet Jackson is one of my favorite artists and dancers of ALL TIME. I've listened to Design of a Decade weekly since it came out. There isn't a Janet Jackson song or video I don't know and love. Janet's tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2009 VMAs was one of the greatest acts of artistry I've ever seen in my life. But you know what WASN'T one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my life? The outfit Janet wore for her American Music Awards performance last night. Janet's performance was great -- She did "If"!!! She channeled Michael! But OMG the outfit!?!?

Janet's AMA outfit was part naughty Pocahontas, kinda Robin Hood, and a little California gold rush. Janet's pants looked like army-issue Hammer pants, and the whole ensemble felt kinda like Shrek but with better cleavage.

+ What did you think of Janet's AMA outfit?

Look who's definitely back in the house. Snoop D-O-Double-G returns with a sneak peek at his new video, "I Wanna Rock," from his upcoming album, Malice, due December 8th.

Snoop has apparently been watching some America's Best Dance Crew or Step Up with his brood (featured in the too-short-lived Snoop Dogg's Father Hood show). This clip features some nice dance-off footage to compliment the "Thriller"-synths and "Drop It Like It's Hot"-esque beat (courtesy of Scoop DeVille).

Watch for Snoop's "I Wanna Rock" video, coming soon.

Britney Spears is known for some positively legendary MTV performances -- her first-ever VMAs in 1999, featuring her belly-baring performance of "Baby... One More Time" with *NSYNC. Britney's "Satisfaction" performance at the 2000 VMAs, where she did a striptease followed by a sexed-up version "Oops ... I Did It Again." Her 2001 VMA "Slave 4 U" performance, featuring a live snake (watch it below). The infamous Madonna-Christina Aguilera kiss at the 2003 VMAs, and, of course, the wince-inducing performance at the 2007 VMAs in Las Vegas, which were, admittedly, no one's greatest moment, but paved the way for Britney's brilliant comeback at the 2008 VMAs.

But, one often overlooked Britney Spears performance is from the 1999 MTV Europe Music Awards, where she performed a "Smooth Criminal"-inspired "Baby... One More Time" medley that featured tap dancing, sounded more Christina than Britney and felt like Backstreet Boys' "Everybody (Backstreet's Back") video, and, anachronistically, like Chris Brown's "Wall To Wall" video.

Watch Britney's performance from the 1999 MTV Europe Music Awards, and stay tuned to Buzzworthy for lots more from tomorrow's 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin!

Dollars to donuts this year the streets will be swarming with DIY Lady Gagas this Halloween. Dressing up like the "Bad Romance" singer for Halloween this year is like dressing up like Sarah Palin was last year, except Lady Gaga actually brings us joy.

So, if you're in the market to dress up like Lady Gaga -- specifically Lady Gaga in the red lace see-through outfit she wore to the 2009 VMAs -- and you're sitting there in an entangled mess of red lace and don't know what to do or how the eff to make a crown, you're in luck. The genius crafty folk at ThreadBanger did all figuring-it-out work for you so you can create your Lady Gaga Halloween costume with relative ease in under four hours. (Me? Like, Flyleaf, I prefer the "sack of trash" garbage bag with armholes costume because I'm lazy.) But ThreadBanger's step-by-step Gaga costume tutorial is almost as amazing as Gaga herself. (Via G4tv.com -- and check out "Attack Of The Show"'s Kevin Pereira in Lady Gaga's orbit outfit, which he got at Ross Dress for Less. Ross! Who knew?) Also, if you're thinking of dressing up in this busted Michael Jackson mask, don't.

Total and complete Kevin Federline-sized fail. There's a reason the Michael Jackson estate did NOT sign off on this obvious hack of a "Pop star" mask. Because IT. SUCKS. It looks like a Joker mask with drawn-on and plucked-off eyebrows and poodle perm. If you're gonna dress up like Michael Jackson for Halloween and remember the man who brought us all immeasurable joy through the vehicle of his awesome powers of entertainment, THEN DO THAT, but DO IT WELL. "Fright Factory" is right. This crazy Michael Jackson mask is NO WAY to remember the King Of Pop.

This is how you remember Michael Jackson: Watch four brand-new video clips of Michael Jackson's This Is It documentary. Watch Michael Jackson rehearse "They Don't Care About Us," get an insider's look at Michael rehearsing "The Way You Make Me Feel," get an extended look at "Human Nature," and get a 360-degree look at what would've been Michael Jackson's "This Is It" concert. And don't miss MTV's "Michael Jackson's This is It" premiere special on Tuesday, October 27 at 8:30pm ET.

The 2009 MTV VMAs were exactly one month ago, and by now you've watched Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" performance, sat in awe of Beyonce's "Single Ladies" performance and Pink's high-flying trapeze act, squirmed uncomfortably over Lady Gaga's big, bloody "Paparazzi" performance, had your face rocked by Green Day's "East Jesus Nowhere," and worshiped at the altar of Jay-Z's "Empire State Of Mind" (with Alicia Keys and that unexpected Lil Mama drama) more times than there are Kanye interruption memes. And you know all there is to know about the making of Janet Jackson's breathtaking tribute to Michael Jackson.

But there are still a few things you might not know about the 2009 MTV VMAs. Like...

+ How a shocked Taylor Swift got from Radio City to the New York City train for her performance.

+ How Madonna slipped into a VMA rehearsal undetected DURING LUNCH!

+ How Pink's performance of "Sober" required not just her amazing acrobatics but some amazing camerawork.

+ Who took Jay-Z's place before the show.

+ How Green Day turned fire into fans...

And more!

Watch "What You Didn't Know" to get an insider's look at Green Day's and Pink's VMA performances:

And after the jump, find out more about Madonna's speech, Russell Brand's comedy club workshop, and Jay-Z's "Empire State Of Mind" performance.

In case you missed this weekend's MTV special airing of the making of Janet Jackson's VMA performance and tribute to Michael Jackson, we've got eight online videos to make up for it.

Watch Janet Jackson and her crew of top dancers and choreographers -- Wade Robson, Tyce Diorio, Tina Landon, Jeri Slaughter, Travis Payne, Brian Friedman, Cris Judd, Dave Scott, Mia Michaels, Laurie Ann Gibson and Wade Robson -- rehearse and get physically and emotionally prepared to pay homage to Michael Jackson at the VMAs.

Plus, see Janet Jackson's dancers share heartfelt memories about working with Michael Jackson -- Wade Robson wears costume pieces Michael Jackson gave him on the "Bad" video set, get a fly-on-the-wall look at the performance details -- the shoes were custom-designed by Christian Louboutin, Janet reminds the dancers to stretch their eyes open during "Thriller," remembering that Michael gave his dancers the same tip -- and experience Janet's raw emotion as she steps onto the Radio City Music Hall stage to practice and finally perform the "Scream" choreography which she hadn't performed since she and Michael shot the video in 1995.

Watch all eight behind-the-scenes videos of Janet Jackson and her now-legendary fleet of choreographers picked to pay tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2009 VMAs.

After Madonna's sobering, heartfelt eulogy to the late, great Michael Jackson opened the 2009 MTV VMAs, Janet Jackson, along with some of the top dancers and choreographers in the world, paid tribute to her late brother in a way that made the most sense: a room-shaking, mind-bending pop spectacle of theatrics, special effects, and, of course, seemingly superhuman dance. It was an absolutely arresting performance, (I felt overwhelming privileged to be standing stage left watching the performance as the entirety of Radio City screamed as Janet reenacted "Scream"), wrought with power, emotion, and new meaning.

One more time, for one night only, Michael Jackson, whose performances brought sheer, unadulterated, ecstatic joy to his fans, danced again through the power of Janet's love and energy.

Watch Janet Jackson's 2009 VMA performance again, and watch the trailer for the new documentary, Michael Jackson's This Is It, out October 28.

And don't miss the MTV exclusive presentation of "The Making of Janet Jackson's Video Music Awards Tribute Performance," on Saturday, September 19 at 12:30pm.

Kristin Cavallari, Katy Perry, and Amber Rose picked up Buzzworthy Fashion Awards for the silvery spectacles and primal get-ups they wore to the 2009 VMAs. Now see which fashion honors Buzzworthy has bestowed upon Madonna, Olivia Palermo, Hayley Williams and more celebs for their VMA style!

MOST COMMANDING: TIE! MADONNA & OLIVIA PALERMO
Some stars like Amerie and Cassie opted for full-on color on the VMA red carpet. Madonna and Olivia Palermo, who wore Susan Woo, commanded the carpet in head-to-toe black. How New York of them.
+ Watch Olivia Palermo on the VMA red carpet.
+ Watch Madonna open the VMAs with a tribute to Michael Jackson.

ALL-AROUND CUTEST: HAYLEY WILLIAMS
THANK you, Hayley Williams. See, THIS is how you dress for the VMAs. When I chatted with Hayley inside of Radio City that night, she told me that Katy Perry told her about Jeremy Scott, who designed the LP-inspired skirt she's wearing. Hayley's vintage-rock look is spot-on perfect for the VMAs. It's youthful but not ridiculous, fun and dressed up (especially with those heels and the bright pop of color from her lipstick), but it's not over-the-top. Ahhhdorbs.

HOTTEST, MOST MAD MEN-INSPIRED GUY: GABE SAPORTA
Gabe Saporta + Balenciaga = Yeah you did.
+ Watch Cobra Starship on the VMA red carpet.
+ Watch Gabe introduce Lady Gaga's performance at the VMAs.
+ Watch Gabe discuss his VMA Mad Men style.

COOLEST THING COVERING SOMEONE'S BOOB: PINK
The sparkly pink heart covering Pink's boob during her death-defying performance of "Sober" was just one of the coolest elements of her jaw-dropping performance. I don't know what that heart thing was, but I kind of want one to stick on my laptop.
+ Watch Pink perform "Sober" at the VMAs.
+ Watch Pink on the VMA red carpet.

MOST REFLECTIVE/ SELF-REFLEXIVE: TIE! ADRIENNE BAILON & BEYONCE
Get it? GET IT? Because Adrienne, in a Stephen Sprouse dress, used to be in the Cheetah Girls, and Beyonce's wearing mirrors!
+ Watch Beyonce's "Single Ladies" VMA performance.
+ Watch Beyonce on the VMA red carpet.
+ Watch Adrienne Bailon interview everyone on the red carpet at the VMAs!

MOST THOUGHTFUL TRIBUTE TO FALLEN HOMIES: TIE! KID SISTER & DJ PREMIER
Buzzworthy idol Kid Sister took her red carpet fashion opportunity to pay tribute to the late Aaliyah, wearing in a shirt she bought on Aaliyah.com. Later that night at Lyor Cohen's VMA after party, DJ Premier (pictured with DJ Cassidy) remembered DJ AM by wearing a t-shirt with a photo of them together.
+ Watch Kid Sister discuss her amazing nails on the VMA red carpet.

MOST CASUAL FRIDAY ON SUNDAY: TIE! BRENT BOLTHOUSE & ANDY SAMBERG
Lazy Sunday? More like casual Friday. Brent Bolthouse kept it biznass casual like a BAWSE in Vans on the VMA red carpet, and Andy Samberg was his usually perfectly-bedheaded-and-a-little-unkempt-but not-in-a-way-that-he-smells-and-I-wish-all-guys-dressed-like-this self. I digress.

MOST LIKELY TO BE SEEN SPREAD OUT ON TOP OF A CAR ON HER MYSPACE: AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL'S JADE COLE
I mean, I'm just sayin'...
