Michelle Williams isn't just a former choir girl, a not-so-secret Katy Perry fan or an all grown up Destiny's Child alum. She's also a smokin' hot soloist whose new video, "The Greatest," (the fourth single off her latest LP, Unexpected) shows off her new 'do, her bangin' yogalicious figure (someone's been practicing her downward dog pose!) and her ability to nail a slightly sappy love ballad.
Check out Williams' tribute to all the great men in her life (Go U.S.A.!) and compare it with classic power ballads like "Wind Beneath My Wings" (Bette Midler, w00t!) and Celine "Fist-Pump" Dion's Titanic smash hit, "My Heart Will Go On."

I caught We The Kings' Travis Clark and Danny Duncan hanging out in the back hallway during Total Finale Live, and I had to corner them with the Flipcam. The results -- several minutes of sweet, starstruck We The Kings ramblings about their backstage spottings: Taylor Swift, Snoop, and Kid Rock, who became the target of their photographic aims after we finished the interview and cornered Bobby Rock for a photo on Travis' iPhone. Watch the video and check out the photo below!

+ Holy withholding! Beyonce has pushed the release date on her two new singles -- "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies" -- back one week, thereby depriving the world of her latest bootylicious offerings until October 14th. Rumor has it Michelle Williams' new album, Unexpected, is to blame for the delay. (That Grape Juice)
+ Jonas Brothers scoop! Their new-ish song, "Lovebug," was reportedly inspired by a bizarre combo of Miley Cyrus, The Beatles, and Juno's illegitimate child. (MTV News)
+ Is Diddy un-making the band?? We're traumatized by whispers that Danity Kane is thisclose to breaking up. (Remote Control)
+ The Game is ordered to attend 36 anger management classes before February of 2009. Which is kinda funny in a "Seriously, don't f--- with him" sorta way. (HipHopDX)
+ Britney Spears' former assistant, Alli Sims, yearns for the glory days when she was mooching off of Brit and living vicariously through her boss' fame. (Scandalist)
+ T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" (off his new LP, The Paper Trail) continues to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Meanwhile, Metallica and Demi Lovato lead off the albums charts respectively with the first and second top-sellers. (Billboard)
+ Outkast's Big Boi to become the new poster-boy for Coca Cola. Classic! (The Boombox)
+ American Idol's David Archuleta to guest star as a "reality contestant" on Nickelodeon's iCarly. TOTAL stretch. (MTV News)

Is Lil Wayne morphing into the Jonas Brothers? Are they sharing the same stylist? If you're curious, Jonases use Michelle Tomaszewski, and seriously, I thank Jonas that that lollipop-headed Rachel Zoe hasn't infected them.
Speaking of style, Lil Wayne used to wear what looked like six-to-a-pack drugstore Hanes tanks and shredded Jncos that reentered this millennium via a spaceship carrying a time capsule from 1992.
But when Lil Wayne stepped onto the VMA stage for his performance with Kid Rock, Weezy looked like he'd just raided Joe Jonas' wardrobe chest (or traded jeans with Paramore's Hayley Williams): lil bowler hat, foppish plaid vest and tighty-tight bright jeans that look like he'd just called gone nuts on a Delia's back-to-school catalog. (Delia's! Now THAT'S some gangsta s---!)
True, Lil Wayne and the JBs don't have much else in common -- case in point, Jonas Brothers on "BB Good" express the following sentiments: "I don't wanna hurt you, I wanna kiss you girl!" While Wayne says, on "Stuntin' Like My Daddy," "When I was 16, I bought my first Mercedes-Benz/ I must've f---ed a thousand b--ches and they girlfriends..." Like I said: outfits. That's where the similarities end.
But, at least fashion-wise, is Lil Wayne morphing into the Jonas Brothers? And WHAT IF the Jonas Brothers show up to their next engagement with a moufful of bling? WORLDS UNITE! UNIVERSES COLLIDE!
+ Watch Lil Wayne in action in his Very Jonas Outfit. (As for his butt-baring VMA performance of "A Milli/ Got Money," we had to take that down because Wayne used an uncleared Tribe Called Quest sample. Damn you, Weezy! We could all be watching your pants fall down right now if it weren't for you stealing people's stuff...)
Oh yeah, and speaking of wardrobes, here's a photo I snapped of KEVIN'S ACTUAL WARDROBE CHEST backstage at Jonas Beach. ACTUAL UNDIES GO IN THERE! OMJ! OMJ! OMJ! OMK!

Wednesday as in today, WTF as in WTF was Macy Gray THINKING when she showed up to the 2001 VMAs in this (obviously DIY) walking billboard topped with a Strawberry Shortcake-on-shrooms hat?
She looks like a Jo-Ann Fabrics (or Mood, for those of you Project Runway fans out there) threw up all over her, and then she held the whole mess together with industrial-strength paper clips. Oy.
Fortunately Macy -- who beat out Christina Aguilera (nominated for "What a Girl Wants") and Sisqo (long live the "Thong Song"!!!) for Best New Artist at the 2000 VMAs -- looks like this now (more Michelle Williams than Bootsie Collins). But still. You can't undo the past.

Watch the WTF fashion moments as they unfurl in unfortunate, amazing real-time at the 2008 VMAs this Sunday, September 7.

Check this out, it's gonna be an awesome week on 'FNMTV.' Sure, that's a given, since Pete Wentz is still the host and, as usual, we've got three hot new music videos to premiere and and absolutely must-see performance. But, for some reason, we're even more excited than ever!
Let's start with We The Kings, one of our favorite bands right now, who will be performing "Check Yes Juliet" and "Skyway Ave." And we saw Pete's fellow Fall Out Boy-er Patrick Stump hanging around, too.
And then, there are the video premieres. You know the drill by now, these most awesome artists drop by to chat with Pete and take the wraps off of their newest music videos. Who's on deck this week?
The Game, who will unveil his clip for "My Life" featuring Lil Wayne, Solange Knowles, who will introduce "Sand Castle" and Gym Class Heroes, who will take the lid off of their "Cookie Jar" featuring The Dream.
PLUS, Michelle Williams will sit in on the panel to discuss all of the new videos and we'll unveil the final 2008 MTV Music Video Awards nominees for Best Rock Video and the king kahuna of all categories, Video Of The Year. Srsly sweaty stuff ...
And that's just what we know about! It's best to watch 'FNMTV' on Friday night because you never know what might happen!
In the meantime, check out these behind-the-scenes pix!

First we discovered that Michelle Williams is secretly haw-larious and is basically a walking iPod shuffle. And now we've discovered that she's officially the most photogenic person in the world. Check out these exclusive shots of Michelle vamping it up in a shiny, cleavage-bearing black top. Oh, and for all you Seinfeld fans out there? As far as we know, they're real -- and they're spectacular.
+ Check out the rest of Michelle's steamy photo shoot and re-watch our video interviews with the Destiny's Child alum.
Katy Perry packed her bags with what we can only imagine are super cute vintage frocks and perfectly mismatched heels and headed out on Warped Tour, but she's keeping us updated with weekly video updates.
In her first tour diary, she hits the beach, and while we can't tell what kind of bathing suit she's got on -- she's buried up to her neck in sand -- we're pos it's one of those Esther Williams/ Roy Lichtenstein "Girl with Ball"-style polka-dotted maillots. Come on in! The water's great!
Watch the video below, stay tuned for more Katy Perry updates from Warped Tour, and don't miss her performance tonight on FNMTV.
+ Plus: Get Katy Perry's cutie Mccute panda dress here, see where she got that absurdly sweet apple-green romper she wore on TRL, check out exclusive Katy pix, and see which singer can't stop singing "I Kissed a Girl."
You're not the only one with the chorus of Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" stuck in your head on repeat -- it's even lodged in Michelle Williams' pretty little head too. Find out what else she's listening to this summer, besides Usher's "Love In This Club" ode to PDA, Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown's "No Air," and Rufus Wainwright (a Buzzworthy favorite!)... again, more "unexpectedness" from Michelle Williams, who is a human iPod Shuffle.
+ Plus, watch Michelle reveal the naughty bits you won't see in her "We Break the Dawn" video, and check out Katy Perry backstage at TRL and on FNMTV (in a panda dress, no less!)

We discovered something we didn't know about Michelle Williams, who, appropriately, named her upcoming album Unexpected: the girl is hilarious. We knew she was talented, but -- shame on us -- we had no clue how funny she is. "People are surprised to find out I'm funny" she confirmed.
Even in the green room, before we started the interview, the attitude-neg singer had us cracking up, talking about teeth-whitening strips and meat vendors on the streets of New York. Maybe you had to be there. Still, it's worth mentioning that Michelle Williams possesses an uncanny ability to immediately disarm a perfect stranger with her down-to-earth good nature and wicked sense of humor. Michelle, we stand corrected.
Check out our exclusive interview with the unexpectedly funny Michelle Williams, who told us about the not-so-family-friendly scene that didn't make it into the final version of her "We Break the Dawn" video.
