It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

To kick off the new year properly, we've rounded up a bunch of promising new acts -- from a much-buzzed about U.K. electronica duo, to a soulful R&B chanteuse on the rise, to an experimental Brooklyn-bred pop princess doing it for herself. Oh, and a taste of what happens when one-half of LMFAO goes solo. (Hint: More party rocking.)

AlunaGeorge, Midian + More in 5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week!

1.) AlunaGeorge, "Thinkin Bout You (Frank Ocean Cover)"

London-based duo AlunaGeorge were already gaining attention after being placed at No. 2 on the BBC's prestigious "Sound Of" list for 2013. And now, with their appearance on the BBC's 1Xtra Live Lounge, they're about to spend even more time in the spotlight. Along with premiering the title track from their upcoming debut, Body Music, the forward-thinking alt-dance duo performed a tight rendition of Frank Ocean's "Thinkin Bout You." Rife with hand claps, steel drum-esque synths, and Aluna's sugary crooning, the duo converts Ocean's track into one awfully sweet sounding affair.

The ring doesn't mean a thing...or DOES it?!

OK Miley Cyrus, it's time to sing: Did you go and get married on us?

First of all, we know that you're pretty guarded about your personal life, which is absolutely admirable. We respect that. But when we found this Twitpic of you snuggling up with your brand-new pup Bean (totally adorable, obviously!), we couldn't help but get slightly distracted by another detail in the photo: Is that a new diamond infinity band around your finger?! It's kind of hard to miss. In fact, we could probably see the shine bouncing off that ice from space.

So... did you already marry Liam Hemsworth?! Because we're feeling a little left in the dark right now. (And no, it's not because it's January.)

OBVIOUSLY, someone made this already.

After years of friendship, months of courtship and sweet serenades, it's all come down to this moment: Baby Kimye!!!

It's no doubt been a whirlwind week for Kim Kardashian and Kayne West, what with everyone chiming in their distaste support  for the pair's soon-to-be bouncing bundle of joy. We provided some helpful parenting tips for the couple earlier this week, Jay-Z is likely sitting at home knitting a Roc Nation onesie as we speak, and Blue Ivy is probably already in talks with producers for their upcoming reality TV series, "Babies in Paris." (Wait, that should seriously happen.)

But sometimes, people take things a bit... uh, further.

Read more about what Kimye's unborn daughter might look like after the jump.

Fiona Apple, Brandy, No Doubt, Alicia Keys, Pink, and more of our faves called it a comeback this year.

Everyone loves a comeback -- and this year, there were a whole lot of them. Whether recovering from shaky album sales and label drama, making their grand TV/film re-debut, or just finally ending their self-imposed hiatus, returning to the studio and getting back into the music scene after years (or even decades -- hi, No Doubt!), 2012 was a year of music comebacks by artists we welcomed with open arms -- and willing ears.

Check out some of Buzzworthy's absolute favorite comebacks of 2012 below, from Britney's transition to TV, to long-awaited records from R&B princesses like Alicia Keys, to a certain girl group reemerging on the stage of the Olympics to bring us a little girl power once again. Viva forever!

+ ALICIA KEYS: 2012 was a huge year for The Girl Who Was On Fire, and by that, I mean Alicia Keys. After popping up on 50 Cent's "New Day" with Dr. Dre earlier in the year, the multi-talented singer-songwriter performed at the VMAs back in September, and in November, she unveiled her latest studio album, Girl On Fire, which debuted at the top of the charts, continuing her (nearly) nonstop streak of No. 1 albums. Just recently, she premiered the video for "Brand New Me." Oh, and perhaps most important: She smized all over the place with Tyra Banks during a cameo appearance on "America's Next Top Model." Work!

+ BACKSTREET BOYS: This might be too easy, but... Backstreet's back! Again! After an extended hiatus from the group, original member Kevin Richardson announced that he was officially rejoining the iconic boy band in early 2012. Later in the year, the troupe announced that they would be heading into the studio to lay down vocals as a quintet for their upcoming eighth studio album -- their first together since 2005's Never Gone. The first taste of that reunited Backstreet magic came last month with "It's Christmas Time Again" (featuring Kevin!), but the true test will come when Backstreet's new album's released in early 2013.

+ BRANDY: After seemingly endless delays, setbacks and label struggles, Brandy came roaring back onto the charts in 2012 with her first studio release since 2008's Human. Packed with smooth, melodic jams -- including her Chris Brown collabo "Put It Down," as well as her Sean Garrett-penned follow-up "Wildest Dreams" -- Two Eleven landed Brandy yet another top 10 record and nearly universal critical acclaim. And when she wasn't too busy dominating the charts, she was busy stirring up drinks and drama on "The Game" as a bartender named Chardonnay.

+ BRITNEY SPEARS: Sure, Britney Spears didn't actually release any new music this year (although she did briefly find time to walk in the club and turn that s*** up as Britishney with will.i.am on "Scream & Shout"), yet the sensual seductress still managed to utterly dominate pop culture once again in 2012 with her highly publicized new position as a judge alongside Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid on "The X Factor," her first recurring appearance on a TV series since the good ol' days of the "Mickey Mouse Club" in the early '90s. From the very first episode on, The Holy Spearit proved herself a natural for the small screen, inspiring a nation with her endless GIF-worthy faces, constructive criticism, iconic dance moves and a stellar vocab. And proving time and time again each week why the legendary Miss Britney Spears is a true star.

+ CASSIE: We've had a Long Way 2 Go since we last heard from Cassie, but it finally happened: Six years after her self-titled debut dropped, the Queen of Icy-R&B dropped her sensual single "King of Hearts" back in February, the thumping, Ibiza-friendly lead single from her oft-delayed follow-up. Her oh-so-scandalous Rico Love-produced "Balcony" came months later in September, as she teamed up with Young Jeezy to get freaky in public on top of a slinky beat. And later on in the year, she teamed up with Miss Nicki Minaj (or to provide the monotone, militant chorus on Pink Friday Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up track, "The Boys." Now, with a mixtape on the way (Rock-A-Bye Baby), she might just be our Official Girl in 2013 after all.

+ CHRISTINA AGUILERA: What else will 2012 really be known for, if not the almighty return of the great Legendtina? Two years after the "Beautiful" belter unleashed her not-so-warmly received 2010 effort Bionic (don't worry -- it was just ahead of its time), Aguilera rose up against the haters like an unbreakable flower with her brand-new studio album, Lotus. Along with her wildly fun, NSFW Max Martin-produced strip 'n' strut anthem "Your Body," the fan-waving, bat-wielding queen of "The Voice" let there be love all around the world in 2012. By the time the year was over, I think we all already knew her name. SAY!

+ CIARA: Backbend enthusiast, "Work"-aholic, and professional One Woman Army Ciara might have gotten briefly sidelined in 2011 following poor reception of her last studio effort, Basic Instinct, but that didn't stop her from hustling even harder in 2012. After shifting over to Epic Records and heading into the studio with just about every pop hitmaker on the planet, the R&B-pop princess began pumping out buzz tracks in the latter half of the year, from the 2 Chainz collaboration, "Sweat" to "Sorry" to her latest single, the freestyle frenzied "Got Me Good," which saw her dancing across the desert with an aching back and her too-tight bra. Next year, she'll release her Epic Records debut--but in the meantime, can someone please get her fitted properly?

+ EVE: Plenty's changed in the female rap game since Eve first entered the scene in the late '90s, but in 2012, she officially returned to the spotlight. Nearly a decade after her last studio record, the Philly-born rapper is (at last) making a proper comeback in 2013 with her upcoming album, Lip Lock. To start getting those lips moving, she premiered her first teaser track, "She Bad Bad," back in October. And last month, she sat down with MTV's RapFix Live. For now, it's all just a taste of what's to come.

+ FIONA APPLE: One of music's most erratic, moody geniuses finally resurfaced this year for the first time since her (well, extraordinary!) Extraordinary Machine in 2005. The result? Her intensely personal, deeply jagged (and now Grammy-nominated!) fourth studio album, The Idler Wheel... (It's actually 23 words in total, but we'll save some room), which garnered overwhelmingly positive press and was named the best album of 2012 by Time magazine. The album also saw the singer-songstress traveling cross-country for a tour -- which ended abruptly for a sad reason -- making this one of Fiona Apple's most successful years yet.

Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," forever devoid of Christmas flaw.

'Tis the season to be jolly--and ICONIC. And to celebrate Christmas, we're bringing you two of the most legendary Christmas tunes ever, by two of our favorite music icons: Obviously we're referring to Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and Britney Spears' "My Only Wish (This Year)."

Now, we're not going to say that these are quite literally the only two Christmas songs that matter (after all, we did gift you with 30 holiday songs that don't suck), but if we were stranded on our own lonely little tropical island and could pick only two Christmas songs to listen to on repeat with our only friend, the volleyball, it'd be these two...hands DOWN.

Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You," which was originally released back in 1994, isn't just a Christmas song; it's the ultimate Christmas song. (No, really, it's the best-selling Christmas single of all time.) Every fiber of its festive DNA sparkles and shimmers with the snuggly sensation of nestling in front of an open fireplace with a mug of hot cocoa, some warm blankets and dem babies.

As soon as the new "American Idol" judge kicks off the track with that life-altering line "I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need...," it's on, every single time. But like Britney's "My Only Wish," we ask ourselves: What could the world's biggest diva possibly need? A charm bracelet? Glitter on Blu-ray? A fiber-optic wall hanging of cherubs? (Oh wait, she's got that, too.) Nope, just like Britney, all she wants is a little lovin'.

It goes without saying that the vocals on "All I Want" are scientifically free of flaw, but by the time Mimi truly emancipates herself on that ginormous earworm of chorus -- THAT CHORUS! -- the angels themselves above are busy searching in vain to find their snatched halos. Mrs. Claus could truly never!

The song's been covered, remixed and reinterpreted in countless ways in past years -- Justin Bieber had some fun last year serving up a super festive remix of the track. But at the end of the day, all we want for Christmas will always and forever be Mimi.

Listen to Dido's new jam "Let Us Move On," featuring Kendrick Lamar.

Dido's no stranger to the hip-hop scene: Remember Eminem's 1999 "Thank You"-sampling smash, "Stan"? You know, the song that inspired the name behind the internet's rarest breeds of über-fandom? That's right: Stans! (Used in a sentence: "The Britney-Stan swore revenge on the Rihanna-Stan in Buzzworthy's annual pop music face-off.")

Now, nearly five years clear of her last studio album, the British songstress will be returning in 2013 with Girl Who Got Away, due out in March. And one of the most anticipated cuts from the new record -- "Let Us Move On" featuring Compton-bred rapper Kendrick Lamar -- has just arrived this week for all to hear.

It's Wednesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week!"

This week's roundup features the return of an underground dance-pop diva, a Barbadian beauty, some Scandinavian sad disco, and a tantalizing musical debut by one of the world's most famous burlesque dancers (who isn't a member of the Pussycat Dolls).

1.) Bruno Mars, "Treasure"

Pop prince Bruno Mars' new record, Unorthodox Jukebox, is an almost infuriatingly solid collection of soul, Motown, and disco-inspired tunes, and "Treasure" is one of the album's most precious gems. The track sees Bruno cooing, crooning, and charming his way into a girl's heart above a shimmering fest of throwback funky beats and dirty bass lines: "You're everything I see in my dreams/ I wouldn't say that to you if it wasn't true," he promises. It's so instant and infectious, it might as well be an unreleased Earth, Wind & Fire smash.

Watch MNDR's FABULOUS "Feed Me Diamonds" video.

Give Rihanna a diamond, and she'll shine bright in the sky. Give MNDR a diamond, and she'll, well, eat it.

"Feed Me Diamonds" is one of the most jagged, chilly, electronic cuts (and the title track!) from Brooklyn-based performer Amanda Warner's fantastic debut LP, which was released earlier in 2012. It's a song about eating diamonds and bleeding out slowly -- just the right amount of cheer in time for Christmastime, no? And now, the track's accompanying clip is finally upon us...and it's a fishy situation.

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's roundup finds a U.K. dubstep diva taking a soulful songstress to the dance floor, the latest smash from an "X Factor" alum, an R&B princess chopping up her latest ballad with some blazin' beats, and a couple of up-and-comers gunning to be next in line for pop royalty.

1.) Melanie Amaro, "Long Distance"

It's no secret that Miss Amaro has had a tough time gaining traction ever since she was first crowned the winner of "The X Factor" a year ago. But with her latest single, "Long Distance," which she performed at the live show last week, Melanie may have just found the right pop formula for success. Produced by Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and co-penned by Bonnie McKee, the song has got all the trappings of a solid power-pop smash, bolstered by Amaro's powerful, melodic chops: "I just want you to be more than a picture on my screen," Amaro belts out on her almighty anthem dedicated to long-distance love. Alas, a digital romance. Wait... do I smell a perfect "Catfish" tie-in or what?

You KNOW we had to GIF Ke$ha's new "Warrior" album.

It's been three long years since America's national trash-covered treasure dropped her supremely amazing, liquor-drenched party-pop collection, Animal. Since then, Ke$ha's stumbled out of Paris Hilton's closet, combed out all the glitter and vomit from her hair, and finally gotten serious.

LOLOL, J/K! She's still a hot mess.

Warrior is both musically and thematically more of the same as her 2009 debut (and her 2010 EP, Cannibal), featuring rowdy rager-ready anthems and swoon-filled love ditties backed by dependably solid (if not safe) production by the likes of Benny Blanco, Cirkut, and Dr. Luke. It's all about living it up ("Die Young") and partying all night long ("Crazy Kids"). And, like Gaga's Born This Way, K$'s in more of a motivational state of mind this time around, providing us with some self-empowerment anthems along the way ("Love Into The Light").

To help color up this review, we're going to review each song, track-by-track -- in GIFs, obviously! So grab your favorite bearded gentleman, put on your favorite tribal headdress, smear on the neon-colored war paint…and dance.

Check out our track-by-track review of Ke$ha's Warrior after the jump!
