It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

Today is a truly monumental day for the United States of America: It's Election Day 2012! Have you voted yet? Before you decide on the fate of the nation, consider these election-themed tracks by some of our favorite pop stars to help lead the way.

1.) Lana Del Rey, "National Anthem"

When Lana Del Rey isn't cruising down the coast going 'bout 99 with her bad boy by her heavenly side, she's busy inspiring a nation. "National Anthem" is one of the most supremely gorgeous cuts from her debut, Born To Die -- and it's also quite topical! Full of vintage Americana references ("red, white, blue is in the sky") and decadent delights ("Take me to the Hamptons/ Bugatti Veyron"), the indie chanteuse transports us back in time to her majestic version of the American Dream. You see, Lana understands the importance of voting to make all her dreams a reality. And if you're nervous about today's results, just count on her endless optimism to lead the way: "We will do very well/ I can tell, I can tell," she promises. In Lana We Trust.

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's roundup includes one of the bounciest cuts from an "X Factor" alum's new album, some indie-pop revelry, and a solo go from one of pop's most tried-and-true hitmakers.

1.) Matthew Koma, "Parachute"

Cherrytree Records artist Matthew Koma is rising rapidly -- so much so that he might end up needing a parachute (see what I did there?). Striding across a bright piano chord and a tripping drumbeat, the talented singer-songwriter blends the melodic flow of Bruno Mars and the falsetto crooning of Adam Levine on his latest release: "Cut me loose, my parachute won't let me fly/ I'll survive, 'cause we got love," Koma cries on top of the sparkling, lovey-dovey chorus, formally joining the ranks of fellow lovesick singers Ingrid Michaelson and Cheryl Cole (artists who've also made parachute references). Well, I mean, if you insist. Here's hoping that love reaches 30,000 feet!

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's roundup includes a moody cut from an alt-pop princess, a Knowles family-approved remix, a killer cut from this year's Eurovision winner, and at last, the return of the Almighty Aloud. Go girls, g-g-go, go, go!

1.) Girls Aloud, "Something New"

Three years after announcing a "yearlong hiatus" (the math there is a bit dodgy), the flawless fivesome known as Girls Aloud -- the Almighty Aloud, if you will -- have at long last returned to reclaim their position on the throne as one of the U.K.'s most successful girl groups ever. How so? With something new, of course. While the mammoth, synth-infused beats of their new single recall Calvin Harris and Lady Gaga, the Xenomania-penned track remains classic Aloud, like a mix between 10 of their hits. All the signature traits of the Aloud are there: Queen Nadine Coyle's major diva-size pipes, Cheryl Cole's aggressive "street" tude, and Sarah Harding yelping wildly all over the place. "We're the leaders of the pack!" the girls declare, confidently towering above the competition in their glittery stilettos. "Something New" doesn't only play like one of the best songs of 2012, it completely lives up to the dreaded hype of a comeback... and then some.

Listen to the remixed edition of Wynter Gordon's "Still Getting Younger."

We still haven't gotten over "Still Getting Younger," one of the many genius cuts (and the final single) off Miss Wynter Gordon's 2011 release, With The Music I Die.

Luckily, neither has NYC-based producer/songwriter Rick Markowitz -- otherwise known as SmarterChild (yes, named for the beloved BFF AIM bot you totally spent all night IMing in middle school and asking hard-hitting questions about your crush -- LYLAS!).

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

Three years ago, life got cold when Girls Aloud announced they were going on hiatus. Now -- as confirmed by a countdown that just popped up on their website this morning -- the almighty troupe (and the closest girl group torchbearers for the Spice Girls legacy) are officially coming back. While I slowly rock back and forth in my room with a Girls Aloud singles collection box set clutched tightly in my arms awaiting their imminent return, I thought I'd highlight just some of the Aloud's brightest moments (don't make me pick a favorite -- talk about Sophie's Choice.) Soon, we'll have even more to celebrate in 10 days. Aloud Forever!

1.) "Sound of The Underground"
The song that started it all: Filled with twangy '60s surf guitar, skittering drums, and sultry come-ons that just won't quit ("Disco dancing with the lights down low..."), "Sound of the Underground" sounded less like an early '00s radio hit and more like Nancy Sinatra being thrust into the U.K. drum 'n' bass scene. And yet, it worked: The song shot to No. 1 on the charts -- their first of 20 consecutive Top 10 hits over the next seven years -- removing the title of "Reality TV Competition Winners" from their name and formally positioning the Aloud as THE girl group to beat for the next decade.

Bat For Lashes lets the rhythm take control in "All Your Gold."

After unveiling the video for "Laura," in which the spook-pop songstress does a dramatic two-step with her leading man, Bat For Lashes is back with the video for "All Your Gold," the next single from her forthcoming album, The Haunted Man. We can only assume that the experimental indie singer has been bitten by the dance bug -- because guess what: She's embraced choreography yet again!

The fabulous Sky Ferreira dropped the video for "Everything Is Embarrassing," the latest from her "Ghost" EP.

Come Oct. 16, the scientifically proven free-of-all-flaws chanteuse Sky Ferreira will release Ghost, a five-track EP chock-full of killer cuts co-penned with talent such as Jon Brion, Greg Kurstin, and Garbage's Shirley Manson. But before Ghost can touch down, you'll want to watch the video for Sky's gorgeous Blood Orange-produced track, "Everything Is Embarrassing." And, shockingly enough, it's... gorgeous. (Too much?)

Aubrey O'Day surveys the "damage" (get it?) in her new "Wrecking Ball" video.

Never one to let the faithful Aubtorage down, former "Making The Band" pop princess Aubrey O'Day has at long last premiered the video for her Pia Toscano-penned power ballad, "Wrecking Ball," which first debuted back in April.

Taking a breather from the sweat-heavy choreo from the blessed days of Danity Kane (RIP forever and ever and ever), Aubsies spends the bulk of her newest video serving up some glam rock in front of a full band -- lovin' that "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" realness, Aub! -- and canoodling on a beach with a well-built mystery man. Basically, if Britney's "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" and Pussycat Dolls' "I Hate This Part" had a baby, it would be born with very blonde extensions and looking exactly like this video.

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

Apparently, every pop princess in the building decided to hold a conference and release a track on the same day! As a result, we've got something special from pop's most divisive throwback chanteuse, the long-awaited return of the Queen from Down Under, a sugary-sweet sampling from a certain Canadian super-starlet, and for a little extra zest, two killer offerings from female-fronted rock troupes.

1.) Lana Del Rey, "Ride"
After serving up 2012's greatest record (according to me, anyway!) all the way back in January, stunning soul-pop singer Lana Del Rey is back for a second round of nostalgic bliss on "Ride," the lead single from her upcoming Born To Die: The Paradise Edition re-release. Produced by industry titan Rick Rubin, the slow-building triumph finds the brooding beauty hitting the dusty trail to clear her mind, resulting in one of her most majestic moments yet: "I drive fast/ I am alone in the night," she quivers, serving up some country drawl realness. (Is anyone else hearing shades of Brandon Flowers? Duet please!) It's a gorgeous conclusion to the Born To Die saga, as the throwback diva takes off on her own. "I just ride," the singer dreamily croons on repeat as the chorus fades away. Heaven is truly a place on Earth with you, Miss Lana.

2.) Kylie Minogue, "Flower"
No pop princess is more giving than Kylie Minogue, who's spent the entire year celebrating her 25th anniversary in the industry in style by showering fans with dozens of glittery goodies -- from singles, to an upcoming acoustic album, to an entire mini-tour. "Flower," Kylie's brand-new release, is the latest installment in the "K25" celebration. The song was actually written well over five years ago and Kylie performed it on her KylieX2008 tour. It became an instant fan favorite, though remained unreleased... up until now. One of Kylie's most vulnerable moments in years, "Flower" has the disco diva contemplating the child she never had. "In a while, my flower/ somewhere in a desert haze/I know one day you'll amaze me," she coos. At last, the gorgeous ballad finally sees the light of day.
