It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's roundup features a slay session by Canada's savior of pop, not one, but two appearances by Bad Boy's most seductive electro-R&B vixen, and a little bit of controversy (uh huh).

1.) Carly Rae Jepsen, "Turn Me Up"

Sure, Carly Rae Jepsen (or, as known by her Canadian birth name, Slayly Reign Jepselegend... too much?) is nowhere near done wreaking radio havoc with her unparalleled 2012 smash "Call Me Maybe," but she's already got a healthy helping of soon-to-be smashes lying in wait on her sensational American debut, Kiss. Case in point? "Turn Me Up," a powerhouse pop production that finds Miss Jepsen lamenting a relationship on the rocks atop a surging beat: "I'm breaking up with you, you're breaking up on me/ You kiss me through the phone, and I don't think it reaches," she cries out on the sing-along ready chorus, as the track suddenly explodes into a raving mixture of sparkling synthesizers and dub-laden beats. (Is that even the chorus? There's like three.) It's absolutely massive and ridiculously catchy in every possible way -- perhaps even as much as "Call Me Maybe."

Britney Spears cements her place in "X Factor" history. (Ba-DUM)

Apparently, "The X Factor" is a talent competition in which singing hopefuls from across the country audition in front of judges in an effort to make their dreams come true.

But what I saw on my screen last night during the "X Factor" premiere was a no-holds-barred Stan session devoted to the pop industry's most free-of-all-flaw goddess of all time: the legendary Miss Britney Spears, who delivered sass, shade, sassy shade, shady sass, sympathetic sighs, side-claps, snackin' and bucket loads upon bucket loads of legendary Spearitual iconicness. (Also, there was some singing by other people or something.)

Obviously, every single moment that Britney appeared, mentioned, or merely could have appeared onscreen deserves a mention, but I've got to go with the very best of the B. And so, here's a little roundup of all of the deliciously memorable moments from Britney's first night on "The X Factor." That's right, y'all -- IT'S BRITNEY ON "THE X FACTOR," BITCH! (And Demi!)

1.) Ooh Ooh Baby: Britney, generally speaking, could not be bothered with approximately 97-100 percent of the contestants that walked onto that stage last night -- except during the first audition. When contestant Paige Thomas, a single mother, brought her adorable little girl Jade out onstage for her audition, Britney shot straight up into full-on mommy mode: WAVING. GIGGLING. BEAMING. COOING. And then -- Jade smiled and waved back! D'AWWWWW! By the end, the entire audience was on their feet cheering, while I was on the ground, melted into a puddle of rainbows, glitter and ponies. Cuteney. Overload.

2.) Oh, the Shadeney of it all!: No less than 20 minutes into the episode, and "X Factor" already serving us a healthy, heaving helping of brutally honest Critiqueney: "No." "No, sorry." "You're off-key." "That was bad." "I don't think you're right for this show." "No." "No." "No." "No." (It's Britney, bitch!) OUCH. Harsh? Maybe. But as any loyal Britney Stan would tell you, she's not being mean -- it's just constructive criticism!

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's roundup includes the latest single from one of England's most prolific pop groups of all time, lush indie-pop offerings, a Swedish pop princess, and a blazin' banga from Danity Kane's most outspoken alum.

Pet Shop Boys, Frank + Derol and more in 5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week!

1.) Pet Shop Boys, "Leaving"

This week, the legendary British electronic duo behind classics such as "West End Girls," "Go West," and "It's A Sin" -- the Pet Shop Boys -- return with their 11th (!) studio album Elysium. The record is a lush collection of chill electronic songs recorded in L.A. alongside Kanye West and producer Andrew Dawson. "Leaving," the album's lead track, doubles as their latest single from the record: "I know when enough’s enough and you’re leaving/ You’ve had a lot of time to decide on your freedom/ But I can still find someone to believe in love," Neil Tennant croons throughout the dreamy number, gliding on top of a sparkling synthesized pulse. With its haunting, melancholic melodies and razor-sharp signature PSB lyricism, "Leaving" isn't just one of the brightest highlights from the all-around amazing Elysium, but an instant classic in the band's ever-expanding repertoire. It's an absolute must.

Dawn Richard wilds out in her "Wild N' Faith" video.

Dawn Richard has come a long way since the showstoppin' days of Danity Kane (RIP, gone but never forgotten) -- and her brand-new "Wild N' Faith" video might just be her most ambitious solo effort yet.

The ELY-directed clip is the final release from Richard's fantastic solo EP Armor On and features Richard in a mind-boggling array of tribal-meets-medieval-meets-space-age-meets-IDFKW couture. It's a video that ought to have Lady Gaga and maybe even Björk giving Dawn a jingle to do a lil' closet spelunking. Believe us when we say we want to be part of THAT clothing swap party!

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's roundup includes a teaser track from a Buzzworthy-approved pop princess in the making, some sweet Swedish heartbreak on the dance floor, disco vibrations, a lights-out hit, and a brand-new banga you'd have to be Kat DeLusional to ignore.

Tinashe, Kat DeLuna, and more in 5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week!

1.) Tinashe, "Stargazing"

It's safe to say that things are going well for Tinashe, one of Buzzworthy's more recent buzzed-about acts. After releasing her debut mixtape In Case We Die earlier in 2012, the up-and-coming R&B-pop princess cut two videos for EP tracks "This Feeling" and "Boss." Oh, right: And she recently inked a record contract with RCA Records. Not too shabby, eh? But before she starts cooking up her major-label debut, the 19-year-old songstress is already prepping the release of her second mixtape, Reverie.

"Stargazing" is the first (free!) taste from the collection, a hypnotic slow-burn of chilly vocals, somber hip-hop patterns, and twinkling electronica. "I'm still wishing on a star/ hoping you will feel me wherever you are," she coos above the song's dreamy soundscape. It's a silky smooth, endlessly repeat-friendly number, tailor made for a night of staring off into the stars. Appropriate, given that Tinashe's career is likely to shoot off into the stratosphere within months.

Warning: Grimes will cut anyone who doesn't understand her "Genesis" video.

The always-gorgeous Grimes -- one of the leading ladies shaking up the industry at the mo' with her experimental, ethereal electro-pop -- has just released the video for "Genesis," one of the tracks off of her 2012 record, Visions. And the video is, as we (and by "we," I mean "I") like to refer to in the industry, STRAIGHT-UP CRAY.

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's round-up includes a second helping by a "X Factor" diva, a delicious new cut from the Princess of R&B, a soon-to-be EDM smash, the solo debut from one of Russia's hottest imports, and some much needed soul... for the soul.

1.) Jessie Ware, "Sweet Talk"

You've heard of Jessie Ware by now, yes? If not, you're about to: The rapidly rising U.K. songstress is about to make huge waves both overseas and stateside with her stunning debut, Devotion, which was released this week to major critical acclaim. Along with incredible lead singles like the U.K. garage-infused "110%" and the gorgeous, triumphant mega-ballad "Wildest Moments," the album's packed to the brim with sweet, soulful early '80s jams like "Sweet Talk," which may as well be a 21st century upgrade of Sade's "The Sweetest Taboo." "You give me the sweet talk, and it works for me/ And it's the sweet words that pull me in," Ware gently croons above the hazy synthesizers. Go ahead and indulge -- this is one kind of sweet that'll do your mind, body, and soul some serious good.

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

So much has happened! And by that, I mean the Spice Girls reunion happened and literally nothing else matters. But also, so much new music is happening! This week's roundup features some arena-size dance floor smashes, a pop tune as catchy as Carly Rae Jepsen's summer smash, and an ode to the fabulous five.

Hi, see ya, hold tight!

1.) Neon Hitch featuring Tyga, "Gold"

At long last, fiery-haired gypsy-pop princess Neon Hitch has returned with yet another gem -- or rather, a precious metal. "Gold" is Neon's latest track, which was co-penned with Bruno Mars. Fluttering atop a driving beat and dreamy synthesizers, the gorgeous track sees Neon getting all cutesy with her crush: "There's no light in this room/ It's alright, we got you/ You shine like go-o-o-old," Hitch sweetly croons, recalling the killer hook on her Gym Class Heroes collaboration, "Ass Back Home." Along with a killer verse by Tyga, "Gold" brings enough power-pop melodies and hip-hop flair to ensure that Neon sparkles on top of the charts.

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "Top 5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

Guess what? We're on Mars, y'all! That's right: This week, NASA successfully landed their latest Mars rover, Curiosity, which is now merrily scooting its way across the surface of Mars taking photos of the planet and... uh, I don't know, putting them on Instagram, I think. To celebrate, here are flaw-free space jams in honor of our little robot friend who's far, far, far away from home!

1.) Britney Spears, "I'm So Curious"

Any proper Britney Spears devotee knows that our Holy Lady of Frappes had already been exploring extraterrestrial life well over 10 years ago, when she was whipping her hair in a red latex suit and being gifted diamonds by eager astronauts. Still, to honor our robot friend's smooth landing onto Mars, I've selected a song perfect for the occasion: "I'm So Curious"! "I'm so curious/ do you love me," the pop-princess-turned-Queen of Pop croons on the sugary-sweet "Sometimes" B-side. She wasn't even 18 years old at the time, yet the Holy Spear-it was already setting her sights on going galactic (and predicting this very space mission, because she is Nostradam-ney.) If only NASA were wise enough to pipe this track into space via Curiosity, any form of intelligent life would come bounding out from behind the rocks they're hiding and start lip-synching for their alien life. Oh well, maybe next time.

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's roundup includes a rave o'clock arena anthem from the U.K., a gorgeous ballad from one of my favorite up-and-coming U.K. songstresses, a brokenhearted disco anthem from an Australian goddess--and yes, even a little ditty from a member of the Cyrus clan that isn't Miley, y'all.

1.) Example, "Say Nothing"

When Example isn't too busy writing global smash hits for The Wanted ("Chasing The Sun") or hopping on tracks with the prolific Calvin Harris ("We'll Be Coming Back"), the hitmaker is unleashing amazing new music from his forthcoming fourth studio album. "Say Nothing," the lead single from the record, sees the British singer-songwriter and rapper merging '80s new wave with arena-size EDM beats, resulting in something that plays like Tears for Fears meets The Wanted meets Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory" meets a whole lot of awesome. Throw in a howling, Coldplay-esque "oh-whoaaa" chant as the song nears its crashing ending, and you've got one of the biggest, most instantly anthemic EDM tracks of the year.
