As part of MTV's Indie Music Month we're premiering music videos from some of the most vibrant artists in the independent music community -- stuff you need to see and hear right now. Today we have a video from veteran underground hip-hop MC Blueprint.

Coming up in Ohio with artists such as RJD2 (with whom he has frequently collaborated), Blueprint has always made funked-out, sample-stacked hip-hop, the way fans of rap's 1988-1993 golden age remember it. His sophomore album, Adventures In Counter Culture, finds 'Print deviating from the original plan, incorporating rock and dance into his sound.

"So Alive," the first single from Adventures In Counter Culture, is a prime example of an artist spreading his wings. Over a spasmodic backing track, Blueprint flexes his vocals, vamping on the beat.

The video, directed by Maria Juranic, is equally inventive, employing a number of DIY special effects with great results.

Watch Blueprint's "So Alive" video below. Blueprint's Adventures In Counter Culture is out April 5.

Yeah, is there even a debate about this? Look at Willow Smith! She is like, 'What's up, paparazzi? You guys like music?! I love music!?" Gah!

This, of course, is Willow Smith, adorable progeny of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, walking around London. Willow was visiting BBC Radio 1 Studios, promoting the ubiquitous "Whip My Hair" (both a song and a movement) and her soon-to-be ubiquitous "21st Century Girl."

Underneath Willow's arm you will notice she's holding what looks to be an iPad. Although, knowing the power of her celeb fam, that could very will be, like, an iPad 6 she's pawing. Who knows?

Willow will be spending a fair amount of time in Europe this spring, as she will be opening for Justin Bieber on his European tour. Maybe she could teach him a little thing or two about smiling for the cameras.

Check out one more photo of Willow Smith in London, below.

Wavves' 2010 album, King Of The Beach, was one of last year's musical high points. It was a fuzzed-out, sunburned indie-rock record that sounded the way a day of skating and hanging with friends feels.

Wavves' first video from King Of The Beach was the humorous clip for "Post Acid," which could best be described as "Harold & Kumar Meet E.T." Meanwhile, "King Of The Beach" is a far more terrestrial affair.

"King Of The Beach," directed by Focus Creeps, features Wavves playing video games and hanging out amid a lot of, um, smoke (wonder what that could be). With some counterfeit dough in hand, the boys cop some fat gold chains and put in their claim to beach royalty.

Watch Wavves' "King Of The Beach" video. King Of The Beach is out now. And if you're a Wavves fan, be sure to vote for them as the Breaking Woodie in this year's mtvU Woodie Awards.

GUYS! EVERYONE! Here's Kim Kardashian's new song "Jam." Yes, we thought it was called "Turn It Up." Turns out we were wrong. But that's neither here nor there. The real issue is, how is it?!

"Jam" premiered a little while ago on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, with a nervous Kim stating, "I’m human. I’ve never sang before. This is definitely something that I don’t do.”

Well, she DID do it! And while it's normal to feel nervous, there's nothing here to suggest Kardashian couldn't have a nice little music career to work on.

Produced by The-Dream, the song is a romping club track, with Kim singing, in an almost childlike voice, about how the DJ is "playing my jam."

Check out Kim Kardashian's debut single, "Jam." What do you folks think? Is it Grammy time for Kim Kardashian? Or should she not quit her several day jobs? Let us know in the comments!

As part of MTV's Indie Music Month, we're premiering videos from some of the brightest independent acts you need on your musical radar -- and on your iPod. And today's video is from the mighty Austin, Texas psych rock band The Black Angels, who deliver a moody clip for their song "Haunting At 1300 McKinley."

You know those days when you feel like the city is just out to get you? Well, meet the protagonist of "Haunting At 1300 McKinley." The city is literally out to get him. Tripping him up and knocking him down. The video, directed by Philip Andelman, appears to have been shot in Paris, though 1300 McKinley is an actual address in the band's native Austin.

The Black Angels' sound won't feel unfamiliar to fans of The Black Keys or White Stripes, though The Black Angels hearken back to a kind of psychedelic-blues feel we can never really get nearly enough of.

You can find "Haunting At 1300 McKinley" on The Black Angels' fantastic 2010 album, Phosphene Dream. Watch the video below.

Most award shows have a host, but not every award show has a good one, much less a LOL master, comedian, brilliant actor and accomplished rapper, all rolled into one, to do the job. But the 2011 mtvU Woodie Awards do. Because Donald Glover is hosting the Woodies.

Over the last 18 months Donald Glover has been racking up résumé highlights that most of us can only dream of. Writer for "30 Rock"? Check. Starring role on "Community"? Check. Rapping under the amazing moniker Childish Gambino? Checkity check (and check out our post on his latest video, "Freaks And Geeks"). Now he'll add the title "award show host" to that sparkling list of accomplishments.

In a statement, Glover said, "I'm really excited to be hosting The Woodies, (insert joke about award sounding like a penis)." That about sums it up.

Glover will keep things moving and keep the audience laughing as Woodie awards are doled out and acts like Odd Future, Sleigh Bells and Two Door Cinema Club play live.

But don't just take our word for it. Below you can watch a video of Donald listing the top three reasons why you need to watch the Woodies. We can find no fault with any of them. And see why he's gotta clean up his act for his hosting gig in an interview from MTV's "The Seven."

Watch Donald Glover's Woodie video below. The 2011 Woodie Awards air live on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU during South By Southwest in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, March 16, at midnight (ET/PT)

Well, "celebrate" might be the wrong word. At least judging by the looks of the photo above, of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez exiting a Los Angeles restaurant only to be swarmed by a bunch of paparazzi, it didn't look like much of a celebration.

To the best of my knowledge, Justin Bieber did not receive any of the gifts we hoped he would; he didn't get his own avatar and he didn't get a new sidekick. But! He did help a lot of people.

See, rather than receiving gifts, Justin asked his fans to give to those less fortunate. And they did, by the bucket (of water) load. Bieber's fans raised more than $45,000 for My Charity Water, helping more than 2,200 people get clean water.

It was a really nice gesture on Bieber's part. And while the above shot might seem like he was having a bit of a hard time, by all accounts he had an enjoyable birthday with Gomez and the rest of his family.

+ Pink did a little bit of pop culture punditry, yesterday, when she commented on Christina Aguilera's recent and Britney Spears' past problems, “Out of Myself, Britney, and Christina—didn’t everyone think I was gonna be the troublemaker? LOOK MA!!! No CUFFS!!” (@Pink)

+ Speaking of Christina Aguilera, and her troubles, she's probably not going to have her mug shot framed anytime soon. (E!)

+ When Gwyneth Paltrow makes her return to "Glee," she will cover songs by Stevie Nicks, Prince and Joan Jett. (Idolator)

+ She got legs, she knows how to use them. The "she" is Rihanna, and she uses them to go shopping in Australia. (Celebuzz)

Here we have Diddy, rolling out on what looks like an overcast day in Hawaii (#hawaiiproblems), wearing a really nice-looking suit. This is not too much of a surprise. Diddy has a tendency to be one of the best-dressed people in any environment he's in. But on this day in particular, the suit is an odd choice, seeing as how Diddy is on his way to firearms training.

Why is Diddy about to have his hand on the pump? Well, it's the same reason he's in Hawaii in the first place: because he's filming a guest spot on the CBS show "Hawaii Five-0."

Now, it's entirely possible that Diddy's character in "Hawaii Five-0" is partial to wearing suits while squeezing off shots. But I never really pegged Diddy as the method acting type, you know? I think this is just how swagged out Diddy keeps it, on the reg.

Look for Diddy's turn as a New York City cop on "Hawaii Five-0," airing soon.
