Beyoncé and Jay-Z in NYC
While you were busy irresponsibly losing your cell phone or rationing the last of your Ramen noodles this weekend, we just felt the need to remind you that new parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z were out and about in NYC killing the game dead. The pair were snapped leaving the Knicks game and heading to a bar in the city for a bite to eat on Sunday, and gosh darn it, it's just really unfair, isn't it? Motherhood looks absolutely stunning on Bey (like anyone thought it wouldn't) while Jay's really keeping the "hood" in fatherhood. He's really not liking whatever's at stage right -- celeb side-eye = the best side-eye.
We give major props to Beyoncé and Jay-Z for not only keeping the romance alive (you gotta schedule those date nights when the little one arrives!), but also for just NGAF about prancing around the biggest city in America like they don't have a care in the world. Is Beyonce old enough to be president yet? I can't wait till that happens. (You all know it's coming.)

Just when you were about to declare Kitty Glitter the best thing to come out of Las Vegas, we had to go and introduce you to Imagine Dragons. (Sorry/You're welcome.) The four-piece's synthy dance-pop hit single "It's Time" is important for a couple reasons: 1.) The song is really effing good, and 2.) It's about time the band took off. After entering the recording studio in 2009 and leaving with two buzzed-about EPs, Imagine Dragons and Hell And Silence, Imagine Dragons paid their dues hitting the road, gaining a fair amount of notoriety on the West Coast. But it took producer Alex Da Kid (Rihanna, Eminem, Paramore) noticing them to really get the fire started (dragon pun) -- they were soon signed to Interscope Records and Alex produced their first full-length EP, Continued Silence, released digitally in February 2012. And we recently snatched them up for our mtvU Woodies Awards Festival.
We sat down with Imagine Dragons to talk all things music, why they chose to put the word "dragons" in their name (why wouldn't you?) and how keeping their home base Vegas isn't as weird as you think it might be: "Well [lead singer] Dan [Reynolds] is from Vegas, so that kind of made it easy. He also has like, 13 people in his family, so we figured why not start there because we already have 13 built-in fans." Interesting tactic, bros. Guilt the whole fam into supporting your creative endeavors! Works every time.

What's wrong, Rihanna?!
We very rarely catch Rihanna in anything other than a totally fierce smize, so we're a little worried about her hand-on-her-face situation going on when she was photographed leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles last night. This pose could mean any number of things: Maybe she forgot her purse inside the restaurant? Maybe she had too many non-kiddie cocktails and thinks she is seductively posing for the cameras? (We've all been there, Ri.) Maybe she's got that TMJ? Whatever it is, are we the only ones thinking this is going to become another ill-fated internet photo phase? Rihanna-ing? (Side note: Have you guys seen Draping? LE BEST.)
Perhaps Ri's still thinking about that interview she walked out on. When she was in Australia promoting her movie "Battleship" recently, Ri was asked about her love life... at which point she left the interview. Hey, I get it. It's like 10,000 grandmas asking you if you're going to get married before they die, but instead of being concerned because they want to witness your holy union because they're a member of your family, it's actually just like, some stranger guy wearing a bad suit prodding you like a zoo animal. Over and over and over.
Keep your chin up, Rihanna. ("If they hate then let 'em hate and watch the money pile up," - 50 Cent.)

No offense, Bieber, but Jordan Newt makes you look like a senior citizen.
When people like me (individuals who can legally vote and drink) become obsessed with pop stars such as One Direction and Justin Bieber, we already feel a little long in the tooth. (That's an old people saying for "old.") So when I bumped into Jordan Newt's "Fresh Down 2 My Socks," I called AARP and told them I was ready for their spaceship to abduct me.

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson: 2 cute 4 wordz!!!
Between you and me, I could just upload photos of various members of One Direction hanging out at the beach all day without comment and just let you guys ogle along with me. But I have "to write about stuff" that includes "story arcs," so for the sake of "journalism" let's talk about the fact that 1D might actually be turning into The Monkees. There's just no way that this photo of Louis Tomlinson is candid. Only the very media trained are capable of such portraits -- because what's the point of being in a boy band if you can't remind your loyal minions that they will never be as naturally photogenic as you?

Selena Gomez stops by UNICEF offices in NYC.
There's really not much Selena Gomez could do at this point that would make us dislike her, especially because she just keeps doing good deeds left and right. While many pop stars in her position might spend all their time with boyfriend Justin Bieber, Selena spends her free hours helping save the world, because that's just how she do. After stopping by UNICEF offices in NYC yesterday (looking adorable as always), Selena tweeted, "Just met my partner/volunteer for my next UNICEF trip! We're gonna have so much fun
Selena recently took to her blog to help promote UNICEF and spread awareness about the lack of clean drinking water in lesser-developed countries, and OMG, we seriously love her so much. She's so well-written and smart! And the cutest! And I want those nude pumps she's wearing! And frankly, anyone who James Franco can get behind is someone I will always like (because I'm a supportive imaginary wife). #selenaforever

Jessica Pott and Joe Jonas: offish couple?
First of all, how could you, Joe Jonas? We've only been e-asking you out for like, the past year. Have you not heard our calls? Have you not seen our tweets? ARE WE JUST NOT YOUR TYPE? Fine. FINE. Another thing -- for a split second there, we thought the girl walking with you in this photo (your reported new girlfriend Jessica Pott) was actually JWOWW. And don't read into that any more than necessary. We just literally thought you were hanging out with JWOWW (and then I was going to ask you to get Pauly D.'s digits for me).
So OK, Jessica Pott's a Brazilian model. We get it -- that's like hitting the DNA lottery. And honestly, we're not even s*** talking, we totally hope you guys are happy together. (If you make it to the baby stage, we think there's a 10 out of 10 chance that the offspring will be insanely good-looking.) So congratulations on that. And listen, you're young and rich and famous, so go out there and paint the town red! But we're here for you just in case things don't pan out. Just sayin'.

According to Lady Gaga, "pop singers don't eat."
Yo Lady Gaga,
Ask anyone who knows me IRL or online and they can tell you that I'm a huge Gaga Stan. 100 percent of the time, I think you do no wrong. But Ima have to scale that back to a 99 percent now -- totes sad about a tweet you sent out to your more than 22 million followers.
On Wednesday you tweeted, "Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger
#PopSingersDontEat #IWasBornThisWay." And I totally frowned! Just like a BFF would (because we're imaginary BFFs in my head), I feel like I need to call you on your bulls***. Tweeting about not eating is like, maybe the worst.

Rihanna's 'Where Have You Been' cover art
Forget that Facebook acquisition -- in case y'all don't know, Rihanna is basically the queen of Instagram. Girl probably posts every hour on the hour, but we can't say that all of them are total gems. Sometimes it's like, a random piece of food (stars -- just like us!), and you're like, "Rihanna. More of your face and clothes, plz." But the "Birthday Cake" singer just uploaded her single cover art for her latest, "Where Have You Been." So we hit a jackpot!
OK, so you can barely see Rihanna on here, but that's not the point. The point is that the new single is on the way, which also means that the new video is on the way, which also means that we'll have yet a whole new story line (and wardrobe) to dissect and ruminate on for hours upon hours. (Our jobs are like, really hard if you couldn't tell.) While the "Where Have You Been" cover doesn't give us much insight into what to expect in the video, we do know one thing for sure -- the smoky eye rules all.

So if you didn't get tickets to the show, freak out in the privacy and comfort of your pantsless bedroom to hits like "Hold On," and one of my personal faves, "I Ain't The Same."
