Watch Atlas Genius' "Artist To Watch" live performance at NYC's Webster Hall!
When bands adapt to the elements in an "anything-can-happen" situation, and STILL put on an amazing show, that's the mark of a true "Artist To Watch" right there. Australian indie rockers Atlas Genius were faced with such a situation when performing at NYC's Webster Hall for their "Artist To Watch Live" performance this past week (check out photos from their show here). Right in the middle of their set, a PA exploded, and the band was forced to finish their performance without electricity. But despite their electrical setback, the guys STILL brought down the house with a brilliant stripped-down performance of songs like "Trojans" and "All These Girls." So, if you aren't familiar with MTV Artists To Watch Atlas Genius, now would be the perfect time to GET familiar. Pfft, who needs power, anyway?

Kanye West gives masterful side eye while walking with Kim Kardashian in NYC.
Don't look now, but Kanye West is back on top! No, not because of the possible album release date he tweeted a few days ago, but because he has proudly reclaimed his crown as the king of side eye! (Sorry, Rihanna.) Alongside his very pregnant better half, Kim Kardashian, Kanye is saying so much with just a glance. And what he's saying is, "Uh, the hell are you lookin' at?" Well, that's our first guess, anyway.
The "Mercy" rapper was snapped scowling while out with Kim in New York City (perhaps shopping for baby clothes?). Y'know, with a baby on the way, you'd think that Yeezy would be all smiles, right?? Maybe he was upset because Gucci was out of the perfect baby booties, or Givenchy flat out refused his concept for a custom bib. "WHAT YOU MEAN YOU DON'T WANT SPIT UP ON YOUR DESIGNS? I'M KANYE WEST. THIS IS RIDICULOUS." Of course all of this is purely speculative, and we're sure the people at Givenchy would give Kanye anything he wanted, but we're just grasping for straws about why he'd look so frowny while out with his lady and (almost) new baby. Well, let's look at the bright side: At least Kanye's got his side eye king title back!

Before You Exit hit the road with Olly Murs, and they've got the pictures to prove it.
Orlando pop-rockers Before You Exit are not only taking over the world with their recent EP I Like That (we do too), but they're currently on tour with adorbs "X Factor U.K." finalist Olly Murs! And while tagging along on Olly's "Right Place Right Time" tour, the boys did exactly what any wide-eyed new tourmates would do: They took pictures of their entire U.S. journey! Oh, and while we're sure there were tons of fangirls losing their minds over Before You Exit (just like in Olly Murs' tour diary), the boys neglected to include any crying close-ups in their tour photo album. Talented and modest?! PUH-LEEEZ.

Harry Styles jokingly Instagrams a not-so-sweet sign from a "fan." Classic.
When you're in a famous boy band like One Direction, and when you're arguably one of the cutest members of One Direction, haters are obviously going to come out of the woodwork with things like hate mail, rampant side eyes, and worst of all, mean-spirited signage (like the one in the above photo). And while most people might emotionally crumble and cry into their chicken dinners, Harry Styles is not most people. See how Harry's brushing that "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" like Jay-Z? So, let's be perfectly clear: When you're as perfect as Harry, you are NEVER shaken.
The "Kiss You" singer posted the expletive-baring photo on Instagram with the caption "Possibly the best sign at a show ever." And while it's easy to take this sign while performing at face value (and Harry COULD HAVE sobbed uncontrollably to his 12 million Twitter followers, saying stuff like "Do you believe this ISH?"), the sign may have another meaning. It's been reported that this poster was actually meant for the paparazzi! Now we can definitely see why Harry held onto this sign. We could totally picture him wearing it like a sandwich board as he's going about his daily business -- it's paparazzi repellent! See, that Harry h8ter did him a FAVOR!

Thirty Seconds To Mars' lyrics wash over nature and the elements in their "Conquistador" lyric video.
We knew Thirty Seconds To Mars had grand ambitions for their forthcoming album, LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS (dropping May 21), but after watching the lyric video for "Conquistador," we had NO idea just how big they planned to go. (Hint: ENORMOUS.) How can we tell? Well, there's huge cascading lyrics over unexplainable phenomena like Aurora Borealis, tidal waves, and thunderstorms while Jared Leto shouts about preparing for war. So yeah, we can infer they're aiming for something a little epic.

Robin Thicke explores a futuristic club vibe on the will.i.am-produced "Give It To You."
Robin Thicke doesn't strike us as a club-hopping, neon lights, up-all-night kind of dude. Nope, he seems more like an "ultrasmooth lounge/refined bourbon" type -- just listen to "Blurred Lines" if you don't believe us. But our snap judgments could never stop a talented singer like Robin from KILLING IT in all genres, which is all too clear on his new will.i.am-produced jam "Give It To You" (featuring 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar), from his forthcoming Blurred Lines album. But enough talking; let's dance!

Emblem3 gave us a thorough tour of their 'Goin' Back 2 Cali' road trip bus!
Emblem3 may have come in fourth on the second season of "The X Factor," but the brother + brother + bestie group (Wesley Stromberg, Keaton Stromberg, and Drew Chadwick respectively) are basically already pros at living the gig-to-gig rock star life. Now trekking cross-country on their "Goin' Back To Cali" road trip, Emblem3 aren't about to see the U.S.A. in a busted old hippie VW van (no offense, hippies)! Nope, the trio's hitting the road in a bona fide mansion on wheels! Well... sort of. At least that's how they describe it in their MTV "Cribs"-style bus tour!

Miley shows off her bum in V magazine... for art.
OK, Miley Cyrus is OFFICIALLY the Queen of teasing. Take her music for example! She's collaborated on superhot songs like "Ashtrays And Heartbreaks" with Snoop Lion and "Fall Down" with will.i.am, but has she released any more deets about her new album since her radio chat with Ryan Seacrest? Nooooope. And as far as Miley's selfies go, whenever we see one puppy picture, we want, like, 15 more immediately!
Anyway, clearly Miley has transitioned her teasing technique to photo shoots, 'cause girl is dedicated to showing copious underboob and just a little bum in her latest photo spread for the May 2013 issue of V Magazine. (Side note: Only Miley could make butt crack chic.)

J. Cole airs industry-related frustrations in "Cole Summer."
There are few rappers more honest than J. Cole. Sure, he must be relieved that after several delays, his sophomore studio album, Born Sinner, finally has a release date for June 25. But being the impatient dude he is, Cole just couldn't wait another second to release some new ish, which is why we now have "Cole Summer," an introspective track about dealing with record label B.S., feeling worried about going back to his day job, and being cheap in the strip club with Drake. Well, we all can't make it rain like Drizzy!

Mika and Ariana Grande prank their high school bullies in their "Popular Song" video.
OK, we get it -- high school sucks. (That's why we have things like the Mean Stinks campaign and Demi Lovato.) And as anyone who went to high school knows, the popular kids REALLY suck. Wouldn't it be nice to invite them over for dinner, then magically turn them into stone like the witches in "Hocus Pocus"? Well, while we don't condone practicing sorcery on ANYONE, no matter how much they suck, Mika and Ariana Grande do a nice job of acting out our ultimate high school fantasy in their Tim Burton/"Heathers"-y video for "Popular Song," from Mika's latest album, The Origin Of Love.
