You're all familiar with the MTV show "My Super Sweet 16," yes? Well how about the ghoulish, horror-themed Halloween spin-off movie, titled, "My Super Psycho Sweet 16"?

It actually premieres tonight, Friday, October 23 at 10pm ET/PT and the premise is simple:

Madison Penrose (Julianna Guill) gets everything she wants, including her wish to re-open the desolate Rollerdome for her sweet sixteen bash. Rollerdome is the site of several grisly murders a decade earlier, and things become "psycho" when the killer returns to crash her party. This fairytale Sweet 16 is going to get ugly, so consider yourself warned!

Alexa Chung had an exclusive clip from the movie yesterday on "It's On With Alexa Chung," and says the clip, "really freaked her out" because she, "hates horror movies." Why? Watch the clip to find out, but here's a hint: maybe it's a nasty head-chopping experience that turned her off the genre. You can also see the trailer below and we have lots more; cast photos, exclusive stills from the "My Super Psycho Sweet 16" movie and interviews with the cast from the red carpet premiere. Bands like AFI, Denali Thrice and more are included in the film's soundtrack too. You really shouldn't miss out. Check out all the extra goodies we have on "My Super Psycho Sweet 16" and don't forget to tune in tonight.

Ok, wtf is Ulalume? Well, it's a poem written by macabre and goth-y 19th century poet Edgar Allan Poe (you were awake in English class, right?). It's also the name of MTV's inaugural Ulalume: Howling At New Moon music festival. Wait, it all makes sense and is less esoteric than you think, or sort of.

The music festival takes place at  Columbia, Maryland's Merriweather Post Pavilion tomorrow (October 23) and while Poe was born in Boston, the poet is buried in Maryland (not too far from Poe's grave (spooky!). Plus, the Ulalume fest is Halloween-themed (New Moon! Vampires, werewolves, unrequited crushes!) and premieres on MTV, Friday October 30 at 9:00 p.m. ET. And Twilight fans take note! Cast members from New Moon will be part of this one-hour on-air special, and they will be unveiling an exclusive look at a never-before-seen clip from the highly anticipated release of the second Twilight installment.

Ok, you're not a history buff. How about a fan of groups like Paramore and AFI? Yes, Ulalume has a kick-ass line up that not only includes those headliners, but also features Dead By Sunrise the new band by Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Kid Cudi and more (umm, rad, right? Buy your tickets here if you haven't already). Come out and celebrate all things spooky in honor of Halloween at the festival if you can make it and if not, tune into MTV next Friday.

BUT, if you don't want to wait long (and you shouldn't), we'll be rolling out bonus performances, interviews, photos and more all next week starting Monday October 26. Check into Buzzworthy and MTV.com for more. Wanna know more? Check out the official Ulalume site on MTVU and or go to Halloween.MTV.com where all our festival highlights will appear. Oh, and let's not forget the hot hostess of the show that's a bit on the jet-black gothy side as well, celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D. Check out our Ulalume video playlist below and a sexy photo of our hostess with the mmm..mostess.

Punk pop rockers Paramore unleash their brand-new, third album, Brand New Eyes, tomorrow, so what do we have for you as a cool, sneak peek treat? How about an exclusive MTV.com Unplugged performance from the band. Pretty good, right? You'll recall we teased you with photos last week, but here we have the full, real deal: six songs stripped down to their acoustic goodness.

Taped in New York earlier this fall, Paramore teared through hits "That's What You Get," "Misery Business" and "Decode" (from the "Twilight" soundtrack), plus two  brand new spankin' new songs from their latest album "Ignorance" and "Brick By Boring Brick." Watch these guys rip the roof off, semi, quietly.

Pour one out. '80s movie icon John Hughes passed away yesterday at the all-too early age of 59 from an unexpected heart attack. :(

It makes us blue. Hughes epitomized our awkward, angsty high school experience like no other with his excellent string of irreverent teen '80s comedies like, Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Weird Science (not to mention the multi-hyphenate genius was also the writing mind behind, Some Kind of Wonderful , National Lampoon's Vacation, the Home Alone trilogy and a ton of other films).

But Hughes' brilliant and attitude-filled films gave us more than just laughs, heart-on-sleeve admissions and classic put-downs like "you neo maxi zoom dweebie." His films also left us with indelible moments set to music, plus he turned us onto a plethora of great '80s new wave bands like the Psychedelic Furs, The Smiths, OMD, Oingo Boingo, The Thompson Twins, Altered Images, Simple Minds, General Public, etc. etc. -- the list goes on and on.

So we thought we'd celebrate John Hughes' movie music legacy with a video playlist of many the hits that elevated his films into something truly special and everlasting. Watch the whole thing here, plus here's a few highlights and our particular faves.

For more , MTV News points us to a really cool, previously unpublished interview one of their writers conducted with Hughes in 1997, and this other old school MTV interview where the filmmaker said he "stumbled" into making teen films by accident.

Put yo hands in the air! On Monday we gave you a sweet, behind-the-scenes look at Nelly Furtado's new Spanish-language single and video, "Manos Al Aire" which means "hands up" for all you non-Latino types. Hands up? There's a theme here, keep reading.

The eclectic Portuguese-Canadian singer  -- who is seemingly at home in any genre or style -- calls the dynamic track a love song. But it ain't at all gushy; this is far more about love as a battlefield.  In that aforementioned teaser clip, Furtado says the cut is about "surrendering to love, and vulnerability ... and it talks about the dynamic of a relationship and the everyday fight to be a couple."

The track is the first single off her new album, Mi Plan, which is due September 15. It's also her first set sung entirely en Español, and features guests like Julieta Venegas, La Mala Rodriguez and Alex Cuba (don't worry, there's English subtitles in the video so you can play along).

The track has a funky, syncopated rhythm and Nelly seems to be rockin' a bit of a military look sportin' her commando hat and driving a jeep down the block. She's throwin' down fierce a bit here. Wouldn't mess with her if I were you.

So here it is, the MTV video premiere of "Manos Al Aire." For more on the Spanish tip of Nelly Furtado's new vibe you should check out this post on MTV Tr3s.

Awoooooo! Talk about barking (and perhaps salivating) at the moon. Shakira's new single, "She Wolf," is a downright libidinous new jam, replete with heavy breathing and panting, but maybe it's just a bit sexier then Ozzy Osbourne's similarly-themed '80s song about wolves and cutting loose. OK, waaaay sexier. Yes, the Colombian pop singer is hot. But no really. Take a closer look -- it's like she's getting even hotter. The video, which features the temptress swinging around in a cage, seems sweaty, balmy ... must stop ... impure ... thoughts.

Check the lyrics: "Theres a she wolf in the closet, Open up and set it free / there's a she wolf in the closet / Let it out so it can breathe." What do they mean? Are we catching a sexual liberation theme perhaps?

The sexiness factor doesn't hurt when you consider the single is a propulsive electro-disco jam seemingly made for a sweaty dance session at da club (as Fiddy might say).

Also, here's an interesting, "did you know?" This track was produced by some unlikely collaborators, Sam Endicott of The Bravery and John Hill, who has turned producer knobs for Santigold. The song will appear on Shakira’s newest English-language album, set for worldwide release in October. The album, her sixth studio effort, was written and produced by Shakira, and features guest collaborators that include Pharrell and Wyclef Jean. A tour is expected to follow in 2010, along with a new Spanish-language album.

Check out this 15-second sneak peek at the "She Wolf" video to hold you over until tomorrow, when MTV and MTV.com will premiere the smokin' new video in full at 8 p.m. ET.

If you wear glasses, you owe Weezer money. Well, odds are you've already paid them. Their ubiquitous blue debut is certified triple platinum in the U.S. and it's #297 on Rolling Stone's list of 500 Greatest Albums. If you don't own it, you're probably dead. Or at least REALLY old. With the release of The Blue Album, Weezer singlehandedly ushered grunge into a new era of clean pop sensibility. They also arguably kickstarted the retro craze that's still got us wearing iron-on t-shirts and carrying lunchboxes. In short, Weezer's a really really big deal.

Lead by the Harvard-educated Rivers Cuomo, the band followed up their massive debut with a string of quirky, color-coded cult classics. First came Pinkerton, dark, moody and intellectual. Then, after a long hiatus, they popped out The Green Album, Maladroit and Make Believe, a trio of tongue-in-cheek pop-punk spazz-outs that cemented Weezer's status as music legends.

So where do you go when you've already established yourselves as one of the greatest bands ever? Well, in this case, the answer is... OUT. Out of their homes, out of their comfort zones and maybe just a little bit out of their minds. According to a recent Pitchfork interview with Cuomo, the upcoming Red Album is comprised of "Longer songs, non-traditional song forms, different people writing and singing, instrument switching, TR-808s, synths, Southern rap, and baroque counterpoint-- for starters." Starters?!? Insane!

Produced by the legendary Rick Rubin, The Red Album is due to be released June 3, and will feature already infamous single, "Pork and Beans." To prepare the world for the seismic shock of yet another Weezer album, the band hunkered down at MTV headquarters and banged out a series of exclusive live performances. Once that was done, they hooked up with Johnny Knoxville to film a brief history of the band, visiting old apartments, school playgrounds and other scenes of nerdy heartbreak. Of course they'll all be popping up on MTV throughout the week, but you can watch them right here, whenever you want! So, stay tuned.
