Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performed "Can't Hold Us" at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards!

Who caught Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Can't Hold Us" performance at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards?? Better yet, who caught that truly inspired royal blue bullfighter suit on Macklemore?! (Never getting over it.) Well, while we may have spent a few minutes ogling Macklemore's outfit, we're going even crazier over the Seattle duo's stunning "Can't Hold Us" performance, which included everything from a Mariachi band to a guest spot from R&B/gospel singer Ray Dalton. Didn't see the show? No worries! We culled through the set's best photos to find the best visuals of Macklemore, Ryan, and Ray. (AND you can re-watch their performance below!)

Livestream Hunter Hayes' MTV Artist To Watch Live performance at Webster Hall this June!

Livestream Hunter Hayes' MTV "Artist To Watch" performance at NYC's Webster Hall this June!

We've been going a little nuts over up-and-coming country superstar/singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes, and for good reason: Not only has he cowritten songs for Rascal Flatts ("Play") and toured with Carrie Underwood, but Hunter's been nominated for THREE 2013 Grammy Awards!! Oh, um, did we mention dude's only 21 years old? *Bangs head against wall* Now, the way we see things, you have a few options here: You could spend time ogling Hunter's perfect blond hair while listening to "Wanted" and "Somebody's Heartbreak," OR you could ogle him in person at Hunter's "Artist To Watch" live show at NYC's Webster Hall on Tuesday, June 18 (get tickets here)! That's right, our fave Artist To Watch for 2013 will invade NYC for an unmissable live country set. Not going to be around NYC? Not to worry -- MTV will be livestreaming Hunter's set for all y'all. Because we're givers like that. And we like to ogle.

Watch Jessie Ware's Artist To Watch performance at Webster Hall.

Watch Jessie Ware's "Artist To Watch" live performance at NYC's Webster Hall!

It's hard to believe that we only just met Jessie Ware, the bewitching English pop-soul nightingale, MTV's Artist to Watch, and seductive singer of songs like "Devotion," "Sweet Talk," and "If You're Never Gonna Move." To celebrate the impending release of her full-length Stateside debut, Devotion (dropping on April 16th -- um, happy day after Tax Day to us!), Jessie stopped by NYC's Webster Hall last Friday night for her MTV "Artist To Watch" Live showcase (check out photos from the night here!). Hopefully you had a chance to tune into our livestream, but just in case life got in the way (as it oft does), or you were just out doin' your Friday night thing, now you can watch full-length videos from Jessie's entire set right here, including live performances of "Wildest Moments," "Night Light," "Running," and more! If you're not a vowed Warewolf yet, giddy up.

Alt_J_artist_to_watch

Meet MTV's latest Artist To Watch: highbrow indie rock quartet Alt-J.

There are a few things to know about the Cambridge, U.K.-based, Leeds-formed Alt-J, the first of which being that they're an indie rock band who DO. NOT. MESS. AROUND. Each track in the four-piece's repertoire is its own perfectionist work of art, like the Wild Beasts-esque "Matilda," the heavier-than-expected "Fitzpleasure," and the xylophone-tinged "Breezeblocks." Their debut album, An Awesome Wave, a quirky mixture of folk, pop, hip-hop, trip-hop, and synth riffs, took a whopping five years to complete before the members were satisfied (who has that kind of patience?). But their dedication didn't go unrewarded -- Alt-J took home the prestigious British Mercury Prize for their 2012 disc. That's like the musical equivalent of being admitted to Harvard -- fitting, really, since Alt-J were originally a college band. But how many of those actually "make" it?

XAmbassadors_Unconsolable

Meet Brooklyn's latest mood-rock obsession: X Ambassadors.

In case you missed Litost, last year's debut from the Brooklyn-based quartet X Ambassadors (now with a fancy new "X" affixed to the front of their moniker), this is your last chance to get in on the ground floor before it's too late. We mean it. The self-titled single of that record, a gently strummed, viscerally percussive slow-burner of a wailing ballad, racked up some serious radio airplay. They just came off a couple of hyped showcases at SXSW (including a performance at the House of Creatives, which you can watch below), and were recently signed to Interscope. Train's leaving; all aboard.
