+ Kanye West's forthcoming G.O.O.D. compilation's roster is growing. Pusha T, Frank Ocean and Jay Electronica are the latest additions to join Yeezy, Big Sean and Mannie Fresh in the studio. It's due out in the spring. (Billboard)

+ We already knew Beyoncé was a pretty fly momma, and now scientists have named one insect species after her. The bootylicious fly, Scaptia (Plinthina) Beyonceae, has a gold-toned bottom. 'Nuff said. (E!)

+ Get a glimpse of Madonna, fresh off of her second Golden Globe win, and M.I.A. in the studio recording "Birthday Song," which was featured during Madge's recent interview with Cynthia McFadden. (Idolator)

+ The 5th Annual BET Honors were taped on Sunday and air Feb. 13. Mariah Carey and Stevie Wonder were among the honorees. Performers included Kelly Rowland with Raekwon and Patti LaBelle. (Rap-Up)

+ Check out a teenage Kanye West rapping on a Chicago stage in 1996! The 19-year-old pre-Yeezy has a similar cadence, but the swagger apparently grew (and grew) with age. (Stereogum)

+ Will.i.am sounds pretty hyped about the collabo he's working on with Justin Bieber for Believe. "I gotta feeling this song is [gonna] be bigger than huge," he tweeted. (Rap-Up)

+ We mentioned new song "Waiting for Something" by Nada Surf, from the band's upcoming album, The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy. The album's out Jan. 24, but you can stream it ahead of its release here. (NPR)

Star Spotting: Selena Gomez Got Her Hands On Some Blue-Purple Hair Dye!

The last time I checked, blue hair was solely for Marge Simpson, the punk/goth high school set and Katy Perry. But Selena Gomez is once again reminding us of the tricks up her sleeve -- the "Love You Like A Love Song" singer dyed the ends of her hair electric blue-purple and it looks effing awesome!!! Selena recently tweeted, "Change is good... My girls take care of me always :) LOVE," along with the photo above. Suddenly (we're guessing) the 901 Salon in West Hollywood is completely booked for the next six months.

We love the fact that even though Selena Gomez comes across like the sweetest, most take-home-to-mom-worthy girlfriend (nice pick, Justin Bieber), she's always surprising us with these little moments of going against the grain. Your blue-purple hair looks AMAZING, Sel, and once again, you've rendered us totally jealous.

+ Bob Dylan performed "Blind Willie McTell" at the Critics' Choice Awards last night to honor Martin Scorsese. Scorsese was selected as the Music + Film honoree for his music documentary body of work, which includes The Rolling Stones' "Shine A Light." (MTV News)

+ Looks like Adele's recovering well from throat surgery as she, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Florence + The Machine are among the 2012 BRIT Awards nominees who are also slated to perform. They take place Feb. 21 at London's O2 Arena. (Idolator)

+ More Grammy performers have been announced: Taylor Swift, Foo Fighters, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean are tapped to play the show on Feb. 12. (MTV News)

+ Lil Wayne's gearing up to publish the diaries he kept while serving eight months in prison at New York's Rikers Island. Entitled Gone Till November, it's slated to hit shelves on Nov. 28. (Pitchfork)

+ The people have spoken and Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift were among those to take home Waterford Crystal trophies at last night's People's Choice Awards. (MTV News)

+ Demi Lovato performed "Give Your Heart A Break" at the PCAs before accepting her award for Favorite Pop Artist. "The nominees that I was up against are people that I look up to and aspire to be one day, and I won this award because of my fans," she said. (MTV News)

+ Kelly Clarkson has been tapped to sing the National Anthem during Super Bowl XLVI. Miranda Lambert and hubby Blake Shelton are slated to perform "America The Beautiful," and Madonna takes on halftime duties. Oh, there will also be football. (MTV News)

+ Nicki Minaj is the most-followed rapper on Twitter, with Eminem coming in second. She's also been added to perform at the Grammys; it'll be her first time. Other announced performers include Foo Fighters and Jason Aldean. (Rap-Up)

+ Blue Ivy's accomplishing more in a few days of living than many of us have thus far. Granted, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's child has a bit of a leg up in the sound department. She's the youngest person to grace a Billboard chart, with her dad's tune "Glory." (Billboard)

Buzz Bites (1/11/11): Are Lady Gaga And Dolly Parton Headed For A Collabo?

+ Dolly Parton reveals she'd like to team up with Lady Gaga for a duet. "We'd be fun together, don't you think?" said Parton. #helltotheyes (E!)

+ E! News reports that Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama, who've been pretty hush-hush about their relationship, have reportedly split up. The news came on the heels of a telling tweet from Lovato. "The smartest thing a woman can ever learn is to never need a man." (E!)

+ Madonna's recent interview with Cynthia McFadden included fan questions. In the TV promo, Madge is told one in particular blew up the internet. The question on many fans' minds: "What do you think of Lady Gaga?" Part one of the exclusive airs Thursday eve. (Idolator)

+ Justin Timberlake, who's a stakeholder in MySpace, announced the company will launch MySpace TV, which will be available on Panasonic-connected televisions. (Just Jared)

+ Spotted: Kelly Rowland buying a green onesie with Bob Marley's face on it, presumably a gift for BFF Beyoncé and Jay-Z's Blue Ivy. (Rap-Up)

+ Jane's Addiction announced their Theatre of the Escapists tour, which kicks off Feb. 22, is hitting intimate venues. "Expect an orgy of musical and visual delights," said Perry Farrell. "We like orgies, and hope you do too." We see what you did there, Perry. (Pollstar)

Buzz Bites (1/10/12): Radiohead, The Black Keys, Dr. Dre And Snoop Dogg To Headline Coachella 2012

+ Coachella 2012 announced its lineup, and it is awesomesauce. Radiohead, The Black Keys and Dr. Dre with Snoop Dogg will headline the now two-weekend fest. Reunions include At The Drive-In, Mazzy Star and Pulp. Peep the full lineup. (MTV News)

+ Blue Ivy's just a couple days old, but the rumor mill starts early when your mom and dad are Beyoncé and Jay-Z. New York's Lenox Hill Hospital says the couple didn't take over an entire maternity floor, nor did they rent it for $1 million as some speculated. (MTV News)

+ Katy Perry tweeted she won't be attending the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, adding, "I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS." It would've been her first public appearance since her divorce was announced. She's up for seven awards. (MTV News)

+ Lupe Fiasco announced on his website that he and Pharrell Williams are planning a joint album. Fiasco is also working on Food And Liquor 2, the follow-up to his 2006 album. (Rap-Up)
