If week one of FNMTV was all about Pete Wentz and videos, then week two was all about Pete Wentz, videos AND LIL WAYNE, who nearly blew out all the electricity in the greater Los Angeles area with his explosive, awe-inspiring rendition of "A Milli," which he performed nearly minutes after it was announced that his new album sold a million copies its first week out. Nice timing, baby!

We'd have Wayne back for if we could, but he's gotta get back to the studio to exercise some more of that lyrical genius. So, on tomorrow night's installment of FNMTV -- tune in Friday, June 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT -- you'll see live performances by Rihanna and Maroon 5, plus guest appearances and video premieres, including:

T.I. - "No Matter What"
No Age - "Eraser"
Day26 - "Since You've Been Gone"

+ After the jump — highlights from last week’s show.

Leaving "California" nothing more than a distant speck in the rearview mirror of their tour bus, Phantom Planet channeled their inner Brit rockers and switched up their sound on their latest album, Raise the Dead.

The comically creepy video for the first single, "Do the Panic," features a grimy old cabin in the woods, an ax-wielding maniac and musically inclined severed limbs. But the idea didn't come from repeat viewings of The Addams Family and/or The Evil Dead trilogy, and their updated sound wasn't inspired by a hop across the pond.

In this exclusive Buzzworthy interview, Phantom Planet talks about how a morbid fascination with infamous cult leaders like Charles Manson, David Koresh and Jim Jones shaped their songwriting and why they feel the need to constantly one-up themselves.

+ Plus: check back tomorrow to see what the band had to say about the departure of drummer/actor Jason Schwartzman, joining Fueled By Ramen and what it was like touring with Panic at the Disco.

Remember this name: Demi Lovato. At the ripe old age of 15, she's the next Miley Cyrus (or Vanessa Hudgens, take your pick), and she's currently stealing the show from the Jonas Brothers in Disney's latest insta-hit, Camp Rock. Super-talented and cute as Katy Perry in a panda jumper, here are a few reasons why she's on the brink of tween star breakoutdom (and not in the acne way):

She's Got 'Star' Genes: This girl was genetically predetermined to go into showbiz -- her mom was apparently a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, and her dad was a country singer.

She's Got Years Of Experience: Despite being three years away from the right to vote or serve her country, Demi's already been in the biz for nine years. She got her first acting gig at age six, as a regular on Barney & Friends, and hasn't looked back since. Next up for Demi? She's recording her first record album and gearing up for a starring role on Disney's new live action series, Welcome to Mollywood.

She Could Destroy You In Guitar Hero: In addition to acting and singing, Demi's been playing the piano and guitar since she was just 11. Which means she knew how to play "Stairway to Heaven" before most of her peers could spell "Led Zeppelin." Still think you could out-battle her in GH? Game on.

She's Going To Have The Best "Super Sweet 16" Ever: Turns out Demi and the Jonas Brothers are more than just co-stars -- they're also BFF. Which explains why she's opening for the sibling trio on their "Burning Up" tour this summer. Plus, she's readying her debut album, with some songwriting help from Jonas Brothers. Even better? Demi's already hard at work filming her next soon-to-be-hit movie with her other bestie (and fellow tween queen-in-training) Selena Gomez.

+ Need more reasons to worship Demi? Check out these recent paparazzi pics (nice vintage New Kids shirt!) and admire the fact that she sings, acts, plays guitar AND dresses better than you. Then stay tuned. Because we have a feeling you'll be hearing lots more about this one...

It's raining, grey and sad-looking out, and we're counting days on the back of our hands, listening to There for Tomorrow's new self-titled LP, which happens to be on Hopeless Records. Rembrandt couldn't paint a picture that realistic.

Listen to every track of There for Tomorrow's new album on "The Leak." (Thanks for sharing, mtvU!) Plus, check out their tour dates, and watch their video, "Pages."

+ Chris Brown sort-of elaborates on his relationship status with Rihanna, explaining: "We started off as friends and we’re getting a little bit closer now." But don't expect these two kiddies to be walking down the aisle anytime soon. "I don’t want to let down all my girlfriends," adds Chris, "so all the ladies out there, I still love y’all!" After watching Madonna go through her promiscuous phase, her pseudo-spiritual/pan-Asian phase and her "Ride em' cowgirl" phase, we figured reggae would be next. (There's still time!) And while Madge never did end up channeling Bob Marley (thankfully, some might say), we've found the next best thing (and arguably far more digestible too) -- Tami Chynn, a 25-year-old ambitious blond bombshell who sounds not unlike Madonna, has the style sensibilities of Gwen Stefani (with a little bit of Charli Baltimore's swagger), and drops a beat like Lady Saw.

But the Jamaican native also brings a uniquely sensual reggae style to the table, which explains why the up-and-comer -- who hit it big online with her single, "Hyperventilating" -- just got signed by Akon.

Listen to her new track, "Frozen," featuring, of course, Akon. It's off Tami's upcoming album, Primadonna, (that title may or may not be a shout out to Madgey Deartest), co-produced by Akon and RedOne.

Then for extra credit, tell us which "Frozen" you like better -- Tami Chynn's or the song of the same name by Madonna, from her raven-haired Kabbalah phase.

When you weren't counting the gratuitous Wes Anderson references in Vampire Weekend's new "Oxford Comma" video on last Friday's FNMTV episode, then you were probably swooning over Katy Perry's obscenely cute panda jumper. Because the only thing cuter than watching a panda chew on bamboo and fall over its sweet little panda self is watching Katy Perry on FNMTV in an adult-sized panda dress, complete with its very own paw pockets.

Katy's panda dress (no relation to Urban Outfitters' panda bikini), is by New York Couture (founder/ designer Cassie Kogler was featured on True Life: I'm Going to Fashion Week, by the way) and it retails for a reasonable $120, which means you can get your own and dress up like Katy Perry and go make out with girls!

+ More photos after the jump.

We're still mired in debt from last year's VMAs in Las Vegas, so this year we're moving the MTV Video Music Awards to the city that was once known as the City of Angels, but is now known as the hometown of The Hills.

The 2008 MTV VMAs are Sunday, September 7, 2008, and they're not happening in a boring, sit-down theater -- that's for the Oscars! -- but they're going down all over the Paramount Pictures studios lot (cue Robert Evans retrospective!), so we're envisioning lots of jump cuts, movie magic, and golf carts.

Also, you're not just gonna be sitting on your ass this year, ogling Rihanna's outfits, willing Britney to wake up and remember she's performing (and by the way, we're not saying Britney is going to be there again this year, but we're also not saying she isn't either), and wishing Chris Brown was a better dancer. You're gonna be helping decide the nominees, music and more.

Oh! And, the VMAs are also turning 25 (that's older than the Jonas Brothers!), which means that we'll be celebrating 25 years of live performances, low-cut dresses, Courtney Love drunk, and unplanned arrests -- 25 is the new 21, y'all!

We'll be bringing you tons more info, exclusive access and bloggage about all the big VMA plans, performers, and more, and we'll show you the glamorous and not-so-pretty side of planning for the VMAs. But for now, we've gotta go work on our spray tan.

+ Check out photos, videos, fashion flashbacks, and more from the 2007 MTV VMAs in Vegas, get behind-the-scenes Buzzworthy highlights from the 2007 VMAs, and watch two of our all-time favorite VMA moments -- Kid Rock and Tommy Lee's spontaneous brawl on the floor of the Palms Casino, and Courtney Love and Madonna's bitter red carpet exchange from 1995.

We've been looking for an excuse to bust out the phrase "soulful beatboxer" ever since Blake Lewis's record label gave him the boot. Thankfully James Lidell affords us that opportunity and relieves us of our guilt.

The Super Collider singer -- who sings like Jason Mraz, dresses like Beck, and looks like a cross between Jason Schwartzman and Dan from The Hills After Show -- has been on fire as of late, both on stage (where he accidentally set one of his speakers aflame) and off, where Grey's Anatomy and the ad execs over at Target catapulted his music into the mainstream.

Check out "Another Day," (off his album, Jim) to see Jamie Lidell in fake glasses (and a hairpiece!), impersonating a sleazy door-to-door salesman. The only problem? We actually like what he's selling. Also, are those JabbaWockeeZ?

+ Plus, check out Jamie Lidell's live performance of "Game for Fools."

Where does Kanye West turn when he's feeling the ire of Bonnaroo attendees? To his blog, of course, where he posting a scathing rant against angry festival-goers/ former Kanye fans who he pissed off royally after he kept them waiting until 4:30a.m. for his show to start.

Our favorite takeaways:

I understand if people don't like me because I like me or if people think tight clothes look gay or people say I run my mouth to much, But this Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life. This is the most offended I've ever been... this is the maddest I ever will be. I'm typing so f---ing hard I might break my fucking Mac book Air!!!!!!!!

And...

SOMETIMES I GO 2, 3 DAYS W/O SLEEP WORKING ON MY PERFORMANCE... I HAVE TO ICE MY KNEES AFTER EVERY SHOW AND THEY HURT WHEN I WALK THROUGH THE AIRPORT...

Now that's putting the power of self-publishing to work for you, Kanye! Those in the same room as 'Ye, watch out for flying keys. Read Kanye's hoppin' mad, rife-with-excess-punctuation blog post here.
