It's not every day that we get to sit down with a living legend like Janet Jackson. In fact, it's not any day since we didn't get to interview her, but our boy Tim, who works down the hall from us -- and is ridiculously lucky -- did. And what's even more ridiculous is how overwhelmingly modest Janet is, even after all these years in the game.

Watch an all-new, super A-list "First Ladies" interview, where Janet reveals her first tour (Rhythm Nation at Tokyo Disney!), first love, first musical inspirations, and her first favorite video, and see if you can get your mind around the fact that the one-name wonder woman still doesn't consider herself a star.

+ Plus: See where Janet's hiding her secret tattoo.

Not too long ago, people snickered when they heard that Jared Leto was the lead singer of 30 Seconds to Mars. But now it seems the actor-turned-rocker is having the last laugh. The band's sophomore album, A Beautiful Lie, recently went platinum, churning out four singles, including their breakout hit and MTV2 staple "The Kill." So ... where does he go from here?

We chatted with Jared about being humbled by his success and whether or not the band will record another album. Watch what he had to say and then check out the video for “A Beautiful Lie."

Also, watch Jared talk about filming the video for "A Beautiful Lie" here.

You'll either be incensed or elated that Panic At the Disco is this week's MTV Artist of the Week. Or you might not even recognize them -- the band that used to sound like nervous teenagers trapped in a fun house with a few synthesizers, some Ringling Brothers costumes, and a severe anxiety disorder dropped the extraneous punctuation, stopped writing songs with titles that could double as character-count-maxing Twitter updates, and completely revamped their sound.

Three years and several personal triumphs and tragedies (the death of Ryan Ross' father, the replacement of Brent Wilson with Jon Walker and the ensuing fallout, scores of sold-out shows, a Grammy nomination) after selling more than two million copies of their debut album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, Panic is now all grown up. And, for a band that's taken a lot of s--- from knee-jerk anti-emo reactionaries, they appear more determined than ever to keep on the sunny side.

With this morning's official Today Show announcement that the New Kids on the Block are back in action (yes, it's marginally exciting, if only for sheer shock value, but did the occasion really necessitate a curtain and an unveiling? And how did this trump a Martin Luther King, Jr. segment??), we hereby grant you permission to indulge in celebrity minutia... like Janet Jackson's secret tattoo.

You know those awesome (as in not awesome) spring break T-shirts with the frogs and pigs engaging in sexual, um, "escapades" that'd make even Prince blush? Yeah. That. Except with two of Disney's most-famous characters. We like that about Janet -- cool, calm and classy on the outside while secretly harboring naughty ink on the Dee-El.

Watch Janet discuss her very first tat, and check out her exclusive MTV.com First Ladies interview on Monday.

How'd a little girl from east London go from cleaning up half-eaten crusts at Pizza Hut to holding the claim to the biggest-selling UK single of 2007, to earning the Oprah seal of approval? She did it the American way -- by winning a Simon Cowell-helmed reality show.

But even before Leona Lewis won The X Factor (the UK’s Idol equivalent), in 2006, she was being hailed the next great R&B singer to become an icon alongside her own childhood idols – Mariah, Whitney, Alicia. Simon Cowell, who mentored the singer, told USAToday.com, "we were starting to get calls from America from people who wanted to work with her, win or lose."

Hi there, music lovers. I'm BuzzRock, Buzzworthy's new blogger helping to bring you the latest music videos and news on our favorite artists.

I thought long and hard about which music videos to show you in my first post. Since Buzzworthy is all about the music people love, I chose one of the very first bands I was passionate about...

Before there was *NSync, Backstreet Boys, Hanson and The Jonas Brothers, there was N.K.O.T.B.:

New Kids were my favorite old-school concert, but since then my tastes have changed a bit. Clickety clack onward for a few more of my all-time favorite videos (they're a little more current than New Kids -- promise). Read More...

Leona Lewis -- season 3 winner of The X Factor, the British equivalent of American Idol -- scored her first #1 song in the U.S. this week with "Bleeding Love," which was the U.K.'s biggest-selling single of 2007. (She got a big boost here in the States by appearing on Oprah last week, and it's been reported that she'll perform on AI this season.) But her "Bleeding Love" success almost wasn't meant to be -- the song was actually written by Jesse McCartney for his upcoming album, Departure.

When Jesse dropped by 1515 recently, we chatted him up about how the song wound up in Leona's lap and whether he has any regrets about letting it slip through his fingers.

Watch more of our interview with Jesse here and then check back next week for an exclusive interview with Leona and a chance to listen to her debut album before it's released!

L.A. pop-punk band A Cursive Memory spent half a year working on the video for their low-fi emo single, "Everything," but they didn't spend weeks casting the perfect pony-tailed pretty girl to play the starring role. There would be no unknown pony-tailed chick, and, with the exception of themselves and a seriously old-school ghetto blaster (immortalized on the cover of a Run-D.M.C. album in a previous life), they didn’t do any casting at all. But they did manage to wrangle scores of random celebrity cameos -- Paris Hilton, Steve-O, will.i.am, Kevin Connolly (famously documented on TMZ, who referred to him a d-bag), Britney Spears, Perez Hilton, Jerry Springer -- and get socked in the face by Diddy’s bodyguard, who called the cops on them after Diddy gave them his best "oh HELLLLLLLIS no" face.

Naturally, we needed to know more. So we brought A Cursive Memory to MTV and turned the camera on them to get more dirt on "Bandarazzi," see who didn’t make the cut, and find out what was too hot for their inevitably viral video.

Comparisons between Amy Winehouse and 24-year-old Welsh singer-songwriter Duffy go together like Velveeta and shell mac. But Amy Winehouse's horn-flanked Mark Ronson productions are intentionally post-modern. However, watch Duffy's "Mercy" video with your eyes closed, and you might actually mistake that voice for Aretha Franklin's. Open them, and you've got a Dusty Springfield dead ringer. We're hooked.

Check out an exclusive Buzzworthy clip of Duffy discussing the inspiration behind the video.

Armed with a more mature look and a smokin' hot new video, Jesse McCartney's ready to prove he's all grown up. Hoping to put his Disney days behind him with his upcoming album, Departure, the soon-to-be 21-year-old isn't afraid to shake things up in search of Justin Timberlake-like success. We sat down with Jesse to talk about his new style, his new sound and crossing over into adulthood. Watch what he had to say in this new interview.
