10 Things I'm Obsessed With with San Cisco.

Australia's San Cisco love snowboarding, infomercials, and saying YOLO!

Indie poppers San Cisco make it entirely too easy to become obsessed with them. With their energetic yet ultra-cool college rock vibe, San Cisco sound a lot like Matt & Kim meets Vampire Weekend meets Best Coast, with some Strokes guitar work for good measure. Plus, the Australian four-piece are even MORE endearing with their emoji-filled "Awkward" video, featuring lead singer Jordi Davieson and drummer/singer Scarlet Stevens talk-singing at each other about text stalking (been there). So you could imagine how excited we were to sit down with San Cisco to chat about the things they're obsessed with, which include, but are not limited to, infomercials, dogs in shoes, and everyone's favorite hashtag phrase: #YOLO.

Last we heard from San Francisco electronic outfit The M Machine, they were flirting with post-apocalyptic dubstep on their track "The Palace." Now, their new video for "Tiny Anthem," off their concept album Metropolis Pt. II, pairs that futuristic concept with some evocative animated imagery. With its sci-fi storytelling and bizarre array of space monsters, it's hard not to be fascinated by The M Machine's dystopian-themed animation -- "Tiny Anthem" kind of makes you think of a goofier and less graphic "Aeon Flux," or maybe even a galaxy-themed "Hunger Games." Read on as we chat with The M Machine to find out more about their "Tiny Anthem" video and its young blue-haired protagonist, Luma.

Meet MTV's latest Artist To Watch: Gold Fields

When Australia's Gold Fields walk on stage, you wouldn't immediately think, "These guys are gonna make me DANCE tonight." In fact, the guys look pretty unassuming in person -- they're all unkempt hair, hoodies, and T-shirts -- except once the lights dim, all bets are off: Childhood friends Mark Fuller, Vinci Andanar, Luke Peldys, Rob Clifton, and Ryan D'Sylva set the stage on fire with their entrancing brand of tribal dance rock -- a synthy, new wave-influenced sound that recalls fellow Aussies Cut Copy and British club kings Bloc Party.

We REALLY envy Seattle-born, L.A.-based Robert DeLong's coordination. First off, the EDM performance artist typically has 15 to 20 instruments on stage with him AT ONE TIME, and he doesn't have anybody else up there to, say, shake a tambourine or hit a cowbell. Nope, it's just Robert up there alone, jumping up and down (literally), spinning dials, pressing buttons, drumming and singing, and utilizing everything from his laptop to game pads to a traditional guitar and snare. Not only has Robert proved his staying power with hook-happy songs like "Global Concepts" and "Change (How You Feel)," but he's just unveiled a brand-new full-length album on Glassnote Records called Just Movement, featuring even more dancehall-ready pop/EDM/electro/rock/8-bit tracks. Now that we're officially obsessed with Robert's unusual Anamanaguchi-meets-Moby-meets-The Postal Service vibe, we decided to sit down with the Artist To Watch to talk about his electro-indie influences, Seattle background, and, well, whether or not Martians exist. On stage, the Midwestern-bred menfolk of twenty | one | pilots are a living mashup, shamelessly slamming together rap-rock and hip-hop with power-pop piano melodies so precariously that you're almost like "holy s*** this is NEVER going to work... OH HOLD UP BECAUSE IT TOTALLY DOES." How do MTV Artists To Watch and Fueled By Ramen signees twenty | one | pilots manage to channel Eminem, P.O.D., blink-182, Green Day, Modest Mouse and Matt and Kim in just a few dizzying bars? (Also, why do they spell their name "twenty | one | pilots, all lowercase with those pipe things?) I have no idea how (if I knew, I'd be doing it myself, and I'd also be figuring out my own path to world domination), which is why I had a lot of questions for Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph. Twenty of them, actually, ranging from how they make that strange magic happen at their live shows, to concerns about their arrest record and time spent cooling in the clink with 50 Cent, to the idea of a One Directon/ twenty | one | pilots tour, to why Taylor Swift just cannot hold down a boyfriend. And for their last trick, the guys even predict the future of their Wikipedia page and blow their own minds.

Watch Marina Diamond (of Marina & The Diamonds) sing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas."

Though she's never had a lick of formal training, Marina Diamond (aka Marina & The Diamonds) has the vocal game on LOCK -- just in the last year alone, Marina has made pit stops in Russia, Europe and the U.S. with Coldplay, and she nearly stole the show as an opener for Katy Perry's "California Girls" tour. Anyway, you could imagine how pumped we were to include her in our "12 Holidaze" series, where we ask our favorite musicians (like Austin Mahone, The Wanted, and MGK) to sing a holiday song of their choice. Singing Judy Garland's 1944 classic "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," Marina's gentle, old Hollywood delivery definitely gives us a Christmas-themed case of the warm and fuzzies.

MGK Performs 'The 6 Days Of Christmas' & Reveals His Favorite NSFW Christmas Gift From Santa (VIDEO)

MGK's idea of a Christmas gift may differ slightly from ours.

MGK and Christmas aren't two things that you would immediately group together (unlike, say, Bing Crosby and yule logs), unless your Christmas celebration includes waking up somewhere strange and possibly getting arrested. If it does, then MGK and Christmas make PERFECT sense together. But for most of us, MGK's view of the holiday season, like the unstoppable solo artist himself, is as unique as a solitary snowflake falling on a cold December morning.

Although we'd have a lot of fun guessing, MGK made sure we knew exactly what it's like to be him on Christmas with a performance of the popular Christmas carol "The 12 Days Of Christmas" (except his version has been cut down to six days... because he's MGK and he doesn't have time for that s***). But the thing that really sets us apart from the "Invincible" rapper are the Christmas gifts he's received. Without giving too much away, let's just say that Santa gave MGK the greatest gift of all, and it's a gift that keeps on giving. And no, it's not an Xbox.

Are you as pumped about Pharrell working with Miley Cyrus as we are?!

We have a lot of favorite artists, but we feel like we've been following industry Renaissance man Pharrell Williams' career FOREVER. He's the only guy we can think of who not only spends his days producing hits for everyone from Britney Spears to The Hives, but he releases his own music, collaborates with an enormous mix of musicians like Madonna and Adam Lambert, AND somehow has the time to design his Billionaire Boys Club line. (Oh, AND he can now add "author" to his résumé, 'cause dude's just released a new coffee table book, "Pharrell: The Places And Spaces I've Been.")
