Is Justin Bieber the new Robert Pattinson? I mean, sure he's shorter, younger, smiles way more, seems 100,000 times more fun, pretty much OWNS Twitter, and he's far better at music. But, like R Pattz, Justin Bieber not only has impressive hair, but he's a TOTAL ladykiller. Girls twice, even three times Justin Bieber's age are like SCREAMING their makeup off for The Biebs.
Watch him perform "One Less Lonely Girl" from today's episode of It's On With Alexa Chung, and see why Justin Bieber is basically Robert Pattinson, minus the British accent and brooding.

For her edition of MTV Unplugged, Katy Perry scrubbed the glitter off her brash, brassy anthems. Taking full advantage of the intimate, candlelit setting, Perry radically reworked some of her most well-known and most-adored jams, and showcased a whole new side of herself as a performer, arranger, and songwriter. Gone are the pulsing beats, washes of synths and walls of guitar, replaced by a hushed, jazzy set-up featuring, at times, upright bass, strings and horns. But the songs remain the same: witty, vulnerable and crammed with hooks.
"I Kissed A Girl"
Katy's second single gets a cabaret jazz send up, attendant with stand-up bass and torch singer vocals.
"Lost"
Described as one of the more personal songs on her album, One Of The Boys, Katy gives a little background to the ballad "Lost," before performing a heart-rendering version of the track.
"Ur So Gay"
A sly insult to an ex-boyfriend with a flair for H&M scarves, it's the song that announced Katy Perry's arrival to the music world. "Ur So Gay" gets a a horn-heavy revamp.

Hopefully you didn't miss Rihanna on yesterday's episode of It's On With Alexa Chung. Yes, Rihanna -- whose new single, "Hard" could be the next "Umbrella" -- did touch upon the outpouring of fans who've supported her decision to speak out and help encourage other women who've been the victims of abuse. But she spent most of her time on It's On With Alexa Chung totally relaxed, joking around, meeting her fans (one of whom received a Rihanna makeover) and having fun with fashion -- specifically Alexa Chung's Museum of Rihanna Art, which exhibited some of Rihanna's best accessories to date and gave her the chance to discuss how and why she's adopted such edgy looks. It was a great look at a woman who's clearly taken back the power which is hers, moved on, and is back to being a fun-loving young woman who's living her life.

Apologies in advance for the bad food analogy I'm about to make. Clearly I'm bitter about the free bag of generic popcorn I just inhaled for lunch (with "insert brand name of prescription drug you can't pronounce" printed on the bag). Anyway, you could kind of liken the Florida music scene to a Cracker Barrel menu. Don't get me wrong: I am ALL for some Hickory Smoked Honey Glazed Ham (Backstreet Boys) and cheese grits (Matchbox Twenty). And who knows? Maybe I want to wash down my chicken 'n dumplings (2 Live Crew) with some box wine (Dashboard Confessional). But Miami synth-rock/electro-pop act Awesome New Republic seems to have just the right amount of pop amazingness without sounding trite (think the electronic bits and driving beats of Miike Snow blended with the psychedelic sweetness of Passion Pit).
Earlier this year, Awesome New Republic -- John Hancock, Brian Robertson, and newly-added-for-tour Jorge Rubiera -- had a Perez Hilton pop moment when P'rezzers posted a Leighton Meester cover of their track "Birthday." Side note: Leighton seems to have a knack for hanging with the boys (not that way, pervtown), as evidenced by this summer's smash Cobra Starship collabo "Good Girls Go Bad" to the literally just-released video "Somebody To Love," featuring Robin Thicke.
Now, with their brand-new album Hearts, just released on October 27th, and their song "Magic City" (from the previously released EP Rational Geographic Vol. 1) appropriately featured in tomorrow's Miami-bound episode of The City, Awesome New Republic just might be the best band you've never heard of. You're welcome.

There have been many huge guests on It's On With Alexa Chung, but possibly no one as internationally massive, iconic, or sought-after as the inimitable Lady Gaga who appeared live on It's On With Alexa Chung on MTV today.

Missed the show? Watch Lady Gaga discuss her upcoming "Bad Romance" video, guesting on Beyonce's upcoming "Video Phone (Extended Remix)" video, her upcoming The Fame Monster release and all of its amazing collectible contents, and see why Lady Gaga doesn't think she's "made it." Seriously. Plus, see what Lady Gaga has to say about Miley Cyrus, what she thinks of the red no-pants outfit she wore on TRL, what she likes to eat late at night, the Hitchcock references in "Bad Romance," and how she's liberating her fans -- her "little monsters" -- though her music.

The cast of Glee was here at MTV today (!!!!!!IDIE!!!!) on It's On With Alexa Chung, and as soon as they were done playing musical chairs, I had the MOST! FUN! EVAR! interviewing them. The interview is coming soon -- seriously, we fit a clown car's worth of people into a tiny photo studio and ended up covering Ped Eggs, Oprah, the Dreamgirls soundtrack, and the Full House theme song... and the Glee soundtrack, of course! -- but until then, check out a few photos of Mark Salling, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron, Amber Riley (Amber liked my shoes! We had a moment! OMGLEE!) and Jenna Ushkowitz.
And after the jump, watch the Glee cast on It's On With Alexa Chung, and check out a few drawings that a few of the Glee kids made for me, and see if you can match up the drawing to the cast member who drew it. Your choices are:
Chris Colfer
Mark Salling
Dianna Agron

Behold, Beavis & Butt-Head in Bungholio: Lord Of The Harvest, dumbass.
In this episode of MTV's most intellectually provocative, sophisticated cartoon series ever, both Beavis and Butt-Head make their way through a Halloween night, overdoing it on candy, turning into sugar-fueled maniacs, and generally causing panic on their suburban streets and in their own central nervous systems. Enjoy this blast from MTV's past and remember, don't ever do what they do, mkaaay?
You're all familiar with the MTV show "My Super Sweet 16," yes? Well how about the ghoulish, horror-themed Halloween spin-off movie, titled, "My Super Psycho Sweet 16"?
It actually premieres tonight, Friday, October 23 at 10pm ET/PT and the premise is simple:
Madison Penrose (Julianna Guill) gets everything she wants, including her wish to re-open the desolate Rollerdome for her sweet sixteen bash. Rollerdome is the site of several grisly murders a decade earlier, and things become "psycho" when the killer returns to crash her party. This fairytale Sweet 16 is going to get ugly, so consider yourself warned!
Alexa Chung had an exclusive clip from the movie yesterday on "It's On With Alexa Chung," and says the clip, "really freaked her out" because she, "hates horror movies." Why? Watch the clip to find out, but here's a hint: maybe it's a nasty head-chopping experience that turned her off the genre. You can also see the trailer below and we have lots more; cast photos, exclusive stills from the "My Super Psycho Sweet 16" movie and interviews with the cast from the red carpet premiere. Bands like AFI, Denali Thrice and more are included in the film's soundtrack too. You really shouldn't miss out. Check out all the extra goodies we have on "My Super Psycho Sweet 16" and don't forget to tune in tonight.

Any day Paramore's on MTV is a good day. So today was a GREAT day with all of Paramore on Alexa's couch, along with a sorta-shy Shakira and a nod to Kurt Cobain on Alexa's tee. Here's what Alexa wore today on It's On With Alexa Chung.
+ Kurt Cobain T-Shirt: Rodarte for Opening Ceremony
+ Leggings: Bird By Juicy Couture
+ Shoes: Sonia Rykiel
+ Necklace: Iosselliani

Artist Rebekah Miles created this hand-drawn Kurt Cobain shirt for Rodarte. Get it for $70 at opening ceremony.us. (And check out an amazing remastered version of Nirvana's "About A Girl.")

And get the Shepard Fairey-designed t-shirt Alexa wore at the end of today's show at Karmaloop.com. It's $24, and it's a design and charity collaboration between Karmaloop and MTV's Staying Alive Foundation. Forty percent of the proceeds go towards The Staying Alive Foundation -- Travis McCoy is the foundation's ambassador -- to fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
