It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs Of The Week"!
This week's roundup features a powerhouse belter from the U.K., an up-and-coming producer's step out into the artist world, and a super dose of "SuperLove" from one of our favorite alt-pop princesses.
1.) Charli XCX, "SuperLove"
At 21, alt-pop princess Charli XCX has had a fabulous year, beginning with the release of her phenomenally gorgeous debut album (True Romance), the smashing success of the song she scribed for Icona Pop ("I Love It"), and a major tour with Marina And The Diamonds.
But why stop there? The goth-pop diva is already strutting her platform Buffalo boots into the second era of her career, beginning with the swirling new single, "SuperLove." It's one of her brightest, most lovey-dovey productions to date. "I used to think that the power of love was just a song, but now it's got hold in me," she confesses above the chugging guitar strum.
Charli even has a total "Mean Girls" lyrical moment: "I think your hair looks much better pushed over to one side, how do you feel about me?" Ugh. Amazing times infinity. Your heart will never want it to stop. Please save me!
