Rihanna gives best friend Leandra a lapdance in this photo.

Nothing says "happy birthday" like a bump 'n' grind photo!

We'll be honest -- along with world peace and good health, there are DEFINITELY a few superficial items on our birthday list, including, but not limited to, a lipstick red Celine bag, the Cartier Love bracelet, and maybe a year's worth of prepaid false eyelashes. That said, now that we've seen this photo of Rihanna giving her bestie Leandra a full-on booty bump 'n' grind for her birthday, we'd like to skip the Celine and Cartier. JUST GET US THAT!!

In honor of her bestie Leandra's birthday, the "Stay" singer "turnt up" by snapping a photo with the caption "birthday tun right up!!!! Yassss!!!! #s--tthatmatters happy birthday Lee Lee, we love you always!!!!" Honestly, who knew that in Ri's world "we love you always" DIDN'T mean a diamond-encrusted Rolex and DID mean a personal booty bump? Well, maybe we should've seen this coming. After all, remember that time Rihanna forgot to button her shirt in public, that other time she wore Prada boots and nothing else, or that time she got naked before playing a "Diamonds World Tour" show? We rest our case.

+ We don't know about your high school principal, but ours wasn't a cool rapper like Kendrick Lamar. Watch Tommy & The High Pilots' "Outta My Head" video.

Tommy & The High Pilots do the "I Like Someone!" dance in their new "Outta My Head" video.

You know that feeling when you meet somebody special and you don't have to do that whole first-date "So, what do you do?" routine? Like, when everything flows so effortlessly that suddenly over the course of two weeks you realize that you haven't ONCE worried about whether or not they'd text back? Because you knew that they just WOULD? Well, Santa Barbara's power-pop collective Tommy & The High Pilots should know what we're talking about in their colorful new "Outta My Head" video (the latest single off of their upcoming disc, Only Human), which essentially illustrates the universal, euphoric "THEY LIKE ME BACK!!" dance.

Citizen get lost on their new single, "The Summer" from their forthcoming album, "Youth."

Citizen describe losing someone important in their new single, "The Summer."

Just when we were getting used to the idea of a new wave of bands reaching back to the glory days (aka the bummer days) of vintage emo, we're already jumping ahead to the brand-new days (or Brand New days, we should say). It's getting kind of hard to keep track of where we are in time lately; sometimes it feels like we're in a music-themed episode of "Lost." ("We have to go back!!")

Speaking of being lost, it's a feeling that the boys of Michigan's Citizen sound like they're familiar with on "The Summer," the first song off their upcoming album, Youth, on Run For Cover Records.

Watch Lana Del Rey's "Young And Beautiful" video.

Lana Del Rey channels Daisy Buchanan in her new "Young And Beautiful" video.

Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" film adaptation has hit the big screen, so it makes sense that he'd tap Lana Del Rey -- the pop game's Daisy Buchanan --  to release a video for the soundtrack. Her offering, "Young and Beautiful," finds Del Rey channeling some of the film's spirit and the era's fragile glamour.

Listen to Mac Miller's "Watching Movies."

Something tells us Mac Miller's "Watching Movies" might be rated NC-17.

We don't want to sound weird, but we'd be into just about ANYTHING featuring a nude Mac Miller. (What?! We have a thing for vaguely emo rappers who know how to love!) Well, lucky for us, Mac's sophomore studio album, Watching Movies With The Sound Off (dropping June 18!), features exactly that.

And that's not all of today's good Mac Miller-related news: Along with Mac's nake-o album art comes a slightly less naked single: "Watching Movies."

Watch HAIM's "Falling (Leonard Friend Remix)" video.

HAIM team up with Leonard Friend for a brand-new "Falling" remix (and video).

Los Angeles indie rock sister act HAIM seem kind of in love with everything retro, and frankly we're still reeling from their '90s R&B meets Fleetwood Mac single, "Falling." So it's probably a good idea that the 2013 mtvU Woodies performers would team up with R&B-pop singer-producer Alex Feder, aka Leonard Friend, to remix their highly addictive single, which comes newly packaged with auditory references to Zapp, Phil Collins, and TLC. (What, no Fleetwood?). Oh, AND there's a groovy (that's a purposeful adjective -- you'll see why in a second) new music video to match!

Watch Mariah Carey and Miguel's "#Beautiful" video.

Miguel and Mariah Carey sing each other's praises in their "#Beautiful" video.

It's not like we didn't know Mariah Carey's arms were seriously toned (I mean, did you SEE her Cinderella wedding vow renewal dress??), but HOLY EFF, MiMi looks unreal in her "#Beautiful" video featuring soulful throwback R&B crooner Miguel! It's like the return of the "Fantasy"-era abs up in here, and we are NOT complaining.

Listen to Kyle Andrews' "The Way To Wonder."

Kyle Andrews is all about the good times in his new track, "The Way To Wonder."

Nashville's Kyle Andrews, an indie pop player since 2006, not only has an obvious knack for next-level infectious melodies, but he's somehow mastered the art of hooks with a sound so unshakably happy, it could even make Debbie Downer crack a smile. In terms of sound, Kyle's style lands somewhere between the whimsy of fun., the plucky pitter-patter of Good Old War, and the vocal expressiveness of Conor Oberst. But unlike Mr. Oberst, Kyle has no malaise to speak of, and his predilection towards pure, no-holds-barred ebullience is currently on full display in "The Way To Wonder," the lead single off of his forthcoming album, Brighter Than The Sun.
