RIGHT: Blank canvas Justin Bieber on April 16, and LEFT: Justin's new tattoo on April 24.
If anyone's gone a little nutso over Justin Bieber's breakup with Selena Gomez, it's us. Obviously we want the best for Biebs and Selena, but just when we had finally reached the last step in the grieving process, last weekend we heard a little something about Selena flying to Oslo, Norway, to meet up with her ex on his "Believe" tour AND taking a (now deleted) romantic selfie. Obviously this has unraveled all of our Justin/Selena-breakup resolve, and has sent us into a crazy-eyed maelstrom of "ARE THEY OR AREN'T THEY?," WHY, GOD??," and "WHERE DID WE PUT THE MALLOMARS?" And we thought that was bad -- now we're reeling past the point of Mallomars with this picture of Justin rocking, wait for it... a Selena Gomez- looking tattoo on his wrist. Two tats below the owl, to be exact.
First off, we need to ask just what IS it these days with celebs tattooing faces of their significant others onto their bodies (I'm looking at you, Amber Rose)? What ever happened to name/initial tattoos? Second, you might be saying, "But it might not necessarily be Selena..." Maybe it's his sister, Jazmyn. Well, we're no art appraisers, but this ink stamp does have the same look and feel as Selena's July 2012 Elle photo, right down to the cleavage. Anyway, we feel like it's our job to say the obvious thing, which is that if ex sex is bad, then ex tattoos are almost certainly the absolute worst. But, hey, if Justin and Selena's (rumored) latest go-around doesn't work out, he could always say it's an angel. Or a take on Petunia from "The Adventures Of Pete & Pete." Or the Starbucks mermaid logo! See? Silver linings.

Timeflies showed their love to Boston by performing "Boston Strong Freestyle" at Boston's House Of Blues.
As graduates of Boston's Tufts University, pop/hip-hop duo Rob Resnick and Cal Shapiro of Timeflies were especially stricken by last week's Boston Marathon bombings. So, what do musicians do when faced with tragedy? Use the music! Just last week, Timeflies (one of our favorite breakthrough artists of 2012 and recent "Artist To Watch" performers) played to a sold-out crowd at Boston's House of Blues and donated all tour merchandise proceeds -- about $13K in total -- to The One Fund, a new organization that helps the people most affected by the bombings. As if that wasn't enough, Cal and Rez also invited a group of first responders onstage during Cal's incredible "Boston Strong Freestyle," which, as you might've guessed, is a brand-new freestyle all about Boston.

Paramore covered the perfect pop song: The Cure's "In Between Days."
What happens when one of our favorite bands covers another favorite band? Aside from our heads exploding from all the AWESOME, all we can do is hit repeat, dance on our desks, and do happy cartwheels around the office. And if our supervisor asks why we haven't gotten anything done all day, we'll just say that Paramore covered The Cure's "In Between Days" AND ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD.

Dance your way to summer with Atlas Genius, MTV's latest Artist To Watch.
The trees are blooming and the snow is melting (OK, maybe it melted a while ago); it's officially no-jacket weather. And sure, spring's great for long walks in the park, open-toed shoes, and outdoor dining, but let's be honest -- the best thing about spring is that it gets us thinking about summer -- the season of late-night sweaty dance parties, outdoor festivals, and beach trips -- otherwise known as Atlas Genius season. The Australian duo is what you might call THE summer band, with their deliciously glossy, electro-tinged dance-rock tracks (best experienced on their debut album, When It Was Now), and upcoming MTV "Artist To Watch Live" performance on April 30.

Watch the Jonas Brothers have an "LOL" attack over their "We Want Girlfriends Bad" video from 2006.
Sorry, but if you didn't catch the Jonas Brothers on Wednesday's "Jonas Brothers: Live From MTV" livestream, you made a BIG MISTAKE. Because not only did the boys "twerk" on command, but they drew versions of Grumpy Cat and "The Hunger Games" and basically admitted that Sofia Vergas was the inspiration behind "Pom Poms"! But what was the BEST moment of the entire livestream? Oh, just seeing the guys have a full-on "LOL" blackout as they re-watch a video from 2006 where they admit, "We want girlfriends, BAD." They're losing it, we're losing it, and everyone is losing it.

Thirty Seconds To Mars' Jared Leto wraps his hands around Dita Von Teese's neck in "Up In The Air."
Thirty Seconds To Mars' "Up In The Air" short film (not a music video -- it's more than 8 minutes long and has its own credits) is finally here, it's real, and it's spectacular. And if you ever longed for a Thirty Seconds To Mars short film/ non-music video/ visual experience with Dita Von Teese riding a pink mechanical bull in all-sequined everything (albeit very little of it), the U.S. Olympic gymnasts McKayla Maroney and Jordyn Wieber, the artist Maxwell Snow (HOT DUDE ALERT!), models Ashley Smith and Anastasia Krivosheeva, an entire zoo's worth of animals, taiko drummers, the USC fencing team, Damien Hirst's spot paintings, and Jared Leto with his absolute best hair since his "My So-Called Life" days, then you should check your astrological chart, and call your mom and thank her, because you were born under a lucky sign.

One Direction is a montage of HOT in their "This Is Us" movie poster.
Have you ever wanted to be like, "Sorry guys! I'm playing hooky from work today to spend the afternoon making a montage of One Direction's faces!" Oh, you have?? US TOO! Sadly, we haven't gotten up the guts to ask our boss for the time off, but we might not have to since 1D's brand-new movie poster for their forthcoming 3-D film, "This Is Us," already did the job for us! Kind of...except they forgot to include OUR FACES!
And there's more! The poster, which was just unveiled yesterday, was also released on the boys' 1,000-day anniversary as a band. That's right: 1D have been 1D for 1,000 days! Mazels!! And wanna know what else? The boys' movie poster is also a tribute to the most hardcore 1D Stans, using submitted fan photos from around the world. That in mind, we are KIND OF upset that team 1D didn't chose my fan submitted photo (the one with my head attached to Gisele's body superimposed in the background of 1D's "Kiss You" video), but we're assuming it was just too hot to include. Maybe next time?? I have extra copies if you need me to resend!

Joe Jonas nips those sex tape rumors in the bud on the "Jonas Brothers: Live From MTV" livestream.
You could never accuse the Jonas Brothers of not having a sense of humor. They may be serious musicians with bragging rights of more than 8 million records sold in seven years and another album -- their fifth -- on the way. But the Bros weren't afraid to twerk, draw hilarious versions of Grumpy Cat and "The Hunger Games" and make a coy reference to Sofia Vergas' er... assets... during yesterday's "Jonas Brothers: Live From MTV" livestream, where Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas spent a cheer-filled half hour (literally, the Columbia University cheerleading squad kicked off the livestream with their very own Jonas collegiate cheer) discussing their new single, "Pom Poms," their upcoming 25-city tour, the new album, and what it's like to get the band back together after a brief period where Joe and Nick embarked on solo projects and Kevin filmed the compulsively watchable "Married To Jonas." And they also had no qualms about using the fan forum as an opportunity to address that pesky little adult film rumor floating around about Joe and his girlfriend.
