Buzz On: Luke James

If Beyoncé likes Luke James, THEN SO DO WE.

Not sure about y'all, but there are certain situations where we ask ourselves, "What Would Beyoncé Do?" (WWBD for short!) For example, if we were about to embark on a giant national tour, we'd ask, "Who would Beyoncé take with her on the road as an opening act?" The answer: New Orleans R&B crooner Luke James! (It's actually Luke's second time joining Beyoncé onstage -- last year he opened for her in Atlantic City, and this time he'll open on the European leg of the "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.") See? Life is soooo much better when a Queen makes decisions for you!

Jay-Z spits a rather chaotic verse about wealth in a preview of his "100$ Bill" From "The Great Gatsby" Soundtrack

Listen to a preview of Jay-Z's "100$ Bill" from "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack.

We know that you're NOT OK with how long it'll be before the "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack debuts in full (the whole thing drops on May 7). Because hearing mere snippets of Florence + The MachineLana Del Reythe xx, and will.i.am's contributions (not to mention the recently released minute-and-a-half preview of Beyoncé/Andre 3000 's "Back To Black" cover) is just NOT CUTTING IT! But despite how eager we are to see the movie AND hear the soundtrack, we've got one more preview, courtesy of "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack producer himself: Jay-Z's "100$ Bill."

Adam Lambert shared a photo of his 22-year-old self!

Adam Lambert shared a glamouriffic "Then & Now" photo!

Looking at this "Then & Now" photo of Adam Lambert totally has us narrating a glam fairy tale in our heads... something like (read in the voice of Morgan Freeman), "A long, long time ago (2002 to be exact), there lived a young boy named Adam Lambert. Unbeknownst to him, he was DESTINED to become the Prince Of Glam." Actually, Adam probably always knew that he would one day rule the Glamberg kingdom -- just look at his confident 22-year-old look! It totally screams "I WIN AT EVERYTHING" and "Did anyone TiVo that new show "American Idol"? I want to take notes so I can DOMINATE it one day."

The "Never Close Our Eyes" singer shared the photo on Instagram along with the caption "9 years ago! Woah. (That's some bad yellow bleach.)" First, we have to disagree with Adam on the bad bleach job -- need we remind him that it could have been waaay worse, like, "'90s boy band frosted tips" worse. Second, WE MUST HAVE Adam's moisturizing routine! Aside from his brighter hair and those earrings, Adam still looks exactly like he did in his early 20s! Apparently that's just another perk of having all that potent glam coursing through your veins (he also has the ability to nail every smize and give epic "neck porn" at any time) -- you NEVER age.

Tyler Joseph of twenty one pilots gives himself an interesting hairdo to cope with his emotions in their video for "Car Radio."

Tyler Joseph of twenty | one | pilots gives himself a cathartic haircut in the video for "Car Radio."

Sometimes reinventing yourself with a new haircut can be freeing and liberating (see: Miley Cyrus' fauxhawk or Justin Bieber's new 'do). And sometimes it's Britney Spears in 2007. But like the mythical phoenix, we all rise again, hair or no hair. And besides, it WILL grow back. That's something Tyler Joseph of rap-rock-tronica duo twenty | one | pilots (MTV'S Artist To Watch and Hangout Fest performer) might want to keep in mind as he embarks on his own hair-related journey in the band's emotional new clip for "Car Radio," off of their recent LP, Vessel.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ Snoop LionReincarnated: "There's so much death, there's so much destruction, there's so much mayhem, and there's so much misunderstanding in music. We're losing so many great musicians and we don't love them while they're here. And I want to be loved while I'm here, and the only way to get love is to give love," Snoop Lion states at the onset of his post-Rastafarianism transformation debut, Reincarnated. For his Major Lazer-produced reggae-pop album, Snoop enlists a diverse array of artists. Watch the videos for "Here Comes The King" with Angela Hunte and "No Guns Allowed" with Drake and Snoop's daughter, Cori B., and listen to "Torn Apart" with Rita Ora and "Ashtrays And Heartbreaks" with Miley Cyrus. Also check out the unity track "Lighters Up" with dancehall artists Movado & Popcaan.

+ will.i.am#willpower: For will.i.am's fourth solo album, he makes 15 soon-to-be ubiquitous dance-pop tunes that are jam-packed with star collabs, including a British-accented (!) Britney Spears (watch the "Scream & Shout" remix video with DiddyHit-BoyWaka Flocka Flame, and Lil Wayne), Miley Cyrus ("Fall Down"), Justin Bieber (watch a hologram'd Biebs in the futuristic "#thatpower" video), and 2NE1 with his BEP bandmate apl.de.ap on the YOLO-minded "Gettin' Dumb." Will takes a break from the dance floor for the midtempo, contemplative "The World Is Crazy" with Dante Santiago, "Love Bullets" with Skylar Grey, and album closer "Ghetto Ghetto" with 7-year-old rapper Baby Kaely.

+ PhoenixBankrupt!: The French indie electro-pop band, who recently surprised fans at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with a guest spot from R. Kelly, release the follow-up to their mainstream breakthrough album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Highlights include the shimmery "SOS In Bel Air" with its infectious chorus, and their synth-laden single "Entertainment." The sprawling title track boasts lush instrumentation before the strutty, humorously titled "Drakkar Noir" ushers in back-to-back with "Chloroform," which deals with the more noxious side of love.

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

Listen to Jennifer Lopez's "What Is Love (Part II)."

Jennifer Lopez continues to question love in her latest track.

It's been a minute since we've heard anything from Jennifer Lopez, which, as a side note, definitely doesn't mean we haven't seen much of her (i.e. HER LEG at the 2013 Grammy Awards). But in terms of new music, J. Lo hasn't shown up on much since last March's "Sweet Spot" collab with Flo Rida. That is, until now, of course (dun dun dun....!), because J. Lo has JUST released "What Is Love (Part II)," a follow-up to 2011's "(What Is) Love?"

justin_selenaJustin Bieber and Selena Gomez's are-they-or-aren't-they, broken-then-mended relationship is a serious doozy. Sure, we were all sorts of #SADZ when we heard late last year that Justin and Selena had broken up -- in fact, we spent the following month sulking in our bedrooms with only an iPad, "Sex and The City" episodes, and Top Ramen for comfort. Then, after the breakup, we heard all KINDS of rumors about the duo's (maybe) reconciliation, but finally, the breakup dust settled and Justin and Selena appeared to go their separate ways, with Justin taking his shirt off "All Around The World" and Selena kicking some serious a$$ in "Spring Breakers" and performing "Come & Get It" at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. But now, according to this very snuggly Instagram photo (that Justin quickly deleted), it looks like Justin and Selena's flame may have rekindled!! Um, what are we to make of all this?!

So, how is this happening?! Well, last we heard, the "Come & Get It" singer had hopped a plane to Norway last Thursday to see Justin on his "Believe" tour, THEN traveled with him to Copenhagen. THEN, last Saturday night, Justin posted a blissful photo of the two on Instagram...and promptly deleted it. Well, we're no fortune-tellers, but this doesn't look like an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend "closure" photo to us. Nope, this looks like a happily reunited/"It's Facebook Complicated" couple. And we JUST. DON'T. KNOW. ANYMORE. C'mon, Jelena! Don't make us crawl back into our snack dust-covered sad blanket caves!!

Check out Beyonce and Andre 3000's "Back To Black" single.

Beyoncé and Andre 3000 team up to cover the late Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black."

You and I both know that you just don't TOUCH an Amy Winehouse song, especially one as iconic as the late singer's classic "Back To Black." It's just not done. That said, if there IS one lady on this earth who we would grant a "Winehouse cover pardon" to, it's Beyoncé. Because, well, SELF-EXPLANATORY (AND: rhinestone nipples!). Along with her "Party" collaborator, Andre 3000, Bey and Andre reinterpreted Amy's classic single for the upcoming "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack, produced by Bey's hubby, Jay-Z.

Listen to a preview of Beyoncé and Andre 3000's "Back To Black."

Rihanna lounges poolside as she cradles her new man: an adorable toddler!

Rihanna looks totally at home with that baby-toddler. Just sayin'!

We're generally used to seeing Rihanna with a distinct set of accessories, namely thigh-high Prada boots, giant Audrey Hepburn pearls, fur headdresses, and most important, backwards basketball caps and 10,000 Chanel pins. But what brand-new accessory accentuates the "Pour It Up" singer's best features? Oh, just a A BABY!!! Actually, we're pretty sure this kid is a toddler, but who's counting?

Carly Rae Jepsen, Metric, and The Weeknd score Juno Awards; Pharrell Williams performs Daft Punk collab "Get Lucky," + Fall Out Boy is 2 Chainz's surprise guest at Coachella in today's Buzz Bites.

Carly Rae Jepsen took home three Juno Awards over the weekend.

+ The two-night Juno Awards (which is like Canada's version of the Grammys) took place over the weekend. Congrats to Carly Rae Jepsen who nabbed three Junos, including Album Of The Year for Kiss. Metric also won three awards, and The Weeknd grabbed two as well. (Ace Showbiz)

+ Don't know about you, but we've had Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" on repeat ever since it dropped early Friday morning, and it looks like their collaborator Pharrell Williams can't get enough of it, either. Watch him perform the addictive jam three times during an HTC One event in Brooklyn on Friday. (Billboard)

+ Watch surprise guests Fall Out Boy join 2 Chainz's Coachella set to perform their "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'Em Up)." "Not only did I come to save hip-hop, I came to save rock and roll," 2 Chainz said. He also served double duty by hopping on Major Lazer's set to perform "Bubble Butt." (Idolator)

+ Speaking of surprises, check out Taylor Swift and her unannounced guest B.o.B. performing their collab from his Strange Clouds album, "Both Of Us," during her "Red Tour" stop in Atlanta on Friday. (Rap-Up)

+ Kid Cudi's Indicud features a seemingly odd collab with Michael Bolton, but it turns out Cudi's mom is a fan, and he grew up listening to Bolton. "It was really cool to have his energy and just to be around him because he's such a legend, so down to earth and cool. He was like the uncle I never had," Cudi said. (MTV News)

+ We're not sure who these "insiders" are, but if they're telling the truth, Selena Gomez's impromptu flight last week to Oslo, Norway, where her ex (?) Justin Bieber was performing was no coincidence. "They met up privately later... It was a personal visit," insiders told E! (E!)
