Jhené Aiko plays a cold-blooded killer in her video for "The Worst."
Jhené Aiko might be a smokin' hot babe, but the R&B/pop singer sure plays a good cold-blooded killer in her dark and stormy video for "The Worst" (found on her brand-new project, Sail Out).
In fact, we might even argue that Jhené's the hottest murderer since Christina Aguilera in her "Your Body" video! (Only with more Victoria's Secret lingerie and WAY less glitter.)

Laura Jane Grace thinks about her changed physical appearance on "F***MYLIFE666."
We initially got a taste of Laura Jane Grace's musical coming to terms with her decision to come out as transgender on this summer's True Trans EP. Now, one of those songs, "F***MYLIFE666," is being released again this week, this time as part of the lead-up to Against Me!'s forthcoming Transgender Dysphoria Blues.
As we might've expected from a band whose strident, anthemic punk was already raw enough as it is, "F***MYLIFE666" is a predictably intense, introspective laying bear of emotion.

Like, maybe we're still not awake today, or maybe we've just got Amsterdam on the brain after all of the MTV EMA antics on Sunday night. But, we're not the only ones who think that Demi Lovato's new selfie is, um, a little unusual, right? As in, Demi's definitely a cross-eyed floating head levitating inside of a rainbow-dipped void, right?? RIGHT?!?!?!
Sorry if we sound crazy, but Demi's just being so nonchalant about the photo, which she captioned on Instagram: "You guys asked for a selfie so..... I found this...." See the super jaded ellipses? That whole "Uhh, I guess I could dig one up somewhere" attitude? That's the kind of caption you leave when you upload some super-square yearbook photo that you had lying around in a photo album in storage because your aunt who follows you keeps asking you to -- NOT THIS AGING HIPPIE'S VISION FEATURED UP TOP.
We seriously hope that it's not just us, because to us, the "Neon Lights" singer's Insta is trippier than seeing rainbow-haired Ke$ha wearing a tie-dyed shirt in the front row of a Grateful Dead concert. Which reminds us: ARE WE THE ONLY ONES WHO SEE DANCING GRATEFUL DEAD BEARS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST?!?!

Listen to Cassie's Solange-penned "Indo." It's going to make you feel VERY uncool.
Well, it's official: Cassie may in fact be the coolest artist on the block right now.
Need proof? In case you weren't convinced by that scene of her stuntin' in Wiz Khalifa's "Paradise" video, then how about that one time it literally rained couture bras in her "I Know What You Want" video?
Still not quite there? OK, just take one listen to Cassie's new effortlessly cool track, "Indo," which is featured on Solange's Saint Heron compilation, released today to celebrate the launch of her boutique label, Saint Records.

Miley's got that summertime sadness, y'all.
As if on a mission to prove the Miley Cyrus haters (Frowners?) wrong about her vocal abilities, Miley popped into BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" to record a cover of Lana Del Rey's delightfully dolorous "Summertime Sadness." In it, the EMA winner adds her own country twang to the vocals and replaces the trip-hop string instrumental with some good ol' guitars.
Wow, this week has been incredible for the Smilers. First, we got Miley's show-stopping "Wrecking Ball" performance at the EMA on Sunday night, and now this? Well, we've got a message to all the Frowners out there, but we're gonna let our good friend Winona Ryder in "Heathers" deliver it.

It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs Of The Week"!
This week's roundup features a reverse Warholian expedition of the "ARTPOP" variety, a ghostly dream-pop rumination from a Nashville songstress, and some brooding beauty from two separate sibling acts from Down Under.
1.) Lady Gaga, "G.U.Y"
Hey, guess what? Lady Gaga's got a new album out! (I know, I had absolutely no idea either.) It's called ARTPOP, and it's bananas o'clock in-SAYYYYN -- and also pretty amazing. But, of all the new #Bangerz on the album, there's one standout that absolutely MUST be a single at some point, and that's "G.U.Y."
The gender-bending electro-pop seducer sees Gaga setting her sights on a guy, destined to get her hands on his Koons gazing balls: "I wanna be the girl under you," she croons, "I wanna be your G.U.Y." Not only is the track a complete dance floor stormer, but it's super empowering too! "I don't have to be on top to know I'm wanted, 'cause I'm strong enough to know the truth," she declares. The track spells H.I.T. to me. Release it, Gagaloo!

Our "11:11" wish? To look like Jordin Sparks.
R&B/pop goddess Jordin Sparks might not be dropping a full-length album anytime soon (booooo), but that doesn't mean she isn't keeping her fans happy by feeding them a musical morsel every now and then.
That's right: When she's not making pajama party cameos in her boyfriend Jason Derulo's "Marry Me" video, J.Speezy has been cooking up some sultry tunes of her own! This past August, Jords dropped "Skipping A Beat," and now she's stripping things down with "11:11 (Wish)," a minimal, slinky, sexy ballad about making a wish when that palindromic time of day rolls around.

Paws, er, closed fists up!
On the title track of her newly released album, ARTPOP, Lady Gaga gently croons: "My ARTPOP could mean anything." You know who's a fan of that kinda versatility? (Aside from us, DUH.) None other than the host of "American Idol," Ryan Seacrest! Awww, look at him, as visions of blue Jeff Koons gazing balls and terrifyingly "Dope" grills dance through his head. Boyfriend's so excited!
Glad to see him in such high spirits at the "Venus" singer's iHeartRadio album release party, which will air on The CW on Nov. 19. Apparently, things didn't go quite as planned for Mr. Seacrest, at least according to the tweet accompanying this photo: "I left my goggles at home :/"
Aw, don't you hate when that happens? Every time that we forget to bring our multi-lensed steampunk spectacles to an internationally renowned pop star's record release blowout, we get major backslash frowns, too. Luckily, Mother Monster must've taken Ryan under her (possibly prosthetic?) wing and turned that backslash frown upside down -- er, into a sideways parenthesis.

Miley's going on tour! EVERYBODY TWERK.
Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! That seems to be the theme of Miley Cyrus' upcoming "Bangerz" tour, at least according to her just-released Livenation promo video.
After announcing her upcoming "Bangerz" tour via "SNL" and *sparking* yet ANOTHER MTV award show controversy by lighting up a joint on stage at the EMA, Miley's just unleashed a very, very "OH, MILEY" promo video for her upcoming tour, which basically features the "Wrecking Ball" singer doing everyyyything she does best. (Read: Twerk, tongue, and foam fingers.)

Sel even looks gorg mid-gorge!
We've all been there. You "accidentally" binge-order fries, pizza, and a milk shake with burgers on the side, only to slip into a HEAVY post-consumption, food-induced coma. Well, per the above photo of Selena Gomez making casual love to a french fry, the "Slow Down" singer is prey to the occasional binge-order, too.
After her "Stars Dance" Tour stopover in Vegas, Sel took to Instagram to share her and her pal's postconcert room service raid, captioning: "Goodnight Vegas." More like: "Yeah, we over-ordered, but do you KNOW how many calories I just burned on stage????"
Whatever, they say stars are like us and all that
bullsh** jazz, but honestly? When we go H.A.M. on some fries and a pizza, our faces bloat to the size of volleyballs, and we emergency-slip into the nearest pair of leggings we can find. When Selena goes H.A.M. on some fries and a pizza, she still looks fit , gorgeous, and -- oh, are those perfectly in-place false lashes we spy? Muh. Life is just plain rude.
