When their powers combine, Don Miggs, Michael Lombardo and Walker Adams become MIGGS, an alt-rock band whose sound is perfect for that snowy winter night where you'd rather sit around and talk ish about your ex than go out and party. In other words, if their single "Let The Games Begin" was released in 1999, it would have been the best song on the "Cruel Intentions" soundtrack. That is obviously a compliment considering we miss '90s alternative something fierce.
Without making them sound like a posse of cheap streetwalkers, MIGGS has been around the block. Music veterans in their own right, the band has already released several full-length albums in addition to averaging about 150 tour dates per year. Their previous single, "Girls & Boys," reached No. 42 on Billboard’s Adult Album Alternative chart, and in 2009 a relatively unknown MIGGS landed themselves a spot on "Good Morning America." Definition of "on their grind" right there.
While Don Miggs' voice is gritty and raw, most of the band's melodies are rooted in pop, which has allowed MIGGS to tour with some pretty massive contemporary bands: Maroon 5 and Plain White T's, to name a few. If all these endorsements aren't enough to thrill you, maybe now's the time to mention that Lindsay Lohan is making her acting comeback in their forthcoming video for "Let The Games Begin." Sounds like it's time to start paying attention to these guys.
