Meet MTV's latest Artist To Watch: freewheeling alt-folk wunderkind Jake Bugg.

When The Telegraph calls you "an East Midlands Bob Dylan," you know you're doing something right. I'm referring to, of course, 19-year-old alt-folk singer Jake Bugg (aka Jacob Edwin Kennedy), a very young artist with a distinctly older, wiser sound. While other guys his age are busy emulating the British invasion via '90s boy band throwbacks *coughOneDirectioncough,* Bugg seems more interested in re-energizing vintage genres, and sonically channels everyone from -- yep -- Bob Dylan to The Beatles (albeit LATE Beatles) on his self-titled debut album.

Justin Bieber had a difficult decision to make while accepting his 2013 Billboard Award for Best Male Artist (!!!): Either let his baggy, drop-crotch pants fall to the stage (keep calm with that visual, Beliebers), or pull a classic crotch grab to keep them up. Well, at least that's what we think is going on in the above photo. Either that, or Justin is giving a little shout-out to Rihanna ('cause we know how much that girl lovvves her crotch grabs). Secret coded crotch grabs are the new wink -- pass it on!

The AB-solutely in-shape singer not only took home the coveted Billboard honor, but he also DOMINATED the stage with a performance of "Take You"! And when we say "dominated," we mean he showed up in a "Spinal Tap"-esque glass capsule thingy and danced like a BAWSE in leather pants. And without getting too gross, we really don't blame Justin for grabbing himself! Like we said: He's in leather pants, AND he just danced his a$$ off -- obviously that's one heck of a sweaty work out. Are you putting this together? Leather pants + Sweat = Horrible. Honestly, if we were Justin we would've taken off the leather trousers ENTIRELY and accepted the award in our underwear. Or not worn underwear at ALL like Ke$ha! NO ONE deserves that kind of chafing!

We're A Little Overwhelmed By This Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha, & Madonna Trifecta At The 2013 Billboard Music Awards (PHOTO)

What do you get when you combine Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha, and Madonna in one room? Sorry, we meant to say: What do you get when you combine Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha, and Madonna together in one room AT THE 2013 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS? Well, we can't be absolutely certain, because we weren't THERE (sobs), but we assume that this visual triple threat has effectively caused every computer/iPhone/iPad EVERYWHERE to explode from all the AhhHHHhh. (In addition to our minds exploding, of course.) Because are you seeing what we're seeing?? It's the pop star trifecta to END ALL TRIFECTAS!

Snapped at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Miley, Ke$ha, and pop's reigning Queen, Madonna, had a serious famous-person moment together at the show. Honestly, we just don't know where to start with all this. First, let's talk just about how Madonna, no matter how many multi-decade transformations, DOES NOT AGE. Second, what could they even be talking about?? Could it be anti-aging tips? Like, the best under-eye night cream? Or how to get through an entire award show in dressy lingerie? Or Miley's upcoming NEW ALBUM? Like, could Miley be pumping Madonna and Ke$ha for career advice? Whatever, all we know for sure is that this photo is HISTORIC. Like, it belongs in a pop star museum. Or our apartment. Either one.

Leave it to Ke$ha to take the sideboob trend to a whole new level... with some side-butt! At first we were all, "WOAH! Is that K-$ looking all glammed up? What happened to her corn rolls and thick-rimmed glasses?! Girl looks so sophisticated and normal!" But then of course she turned to the side and we were all, WHOOP there it is. But now we have bigger questions like, did Ke$ha forget to put on underwear? Is there a butt pasty involved? I mean, we could guess how overwhelming it must be to get ready for an award show, and you're bound to forget something. But most people just forget their wallet or keys... Except obviously not Ke$ha. We don't want to even think about where she keeps her wallet and keys.

The "C'Mon" singer was snapped arriving to the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, where she served some side-butt realness. And if we've learned anything about the Illuminati lover from her "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life" docu-series, it's basically that she's always full of surprises -- let's all just be happy she didn't arrive with a beard, OK? Oh, and we were also totally kidding about her not wearing any underwear! Of course she's wearing it! We think... Right? (Hope she doesn't step in front of a particularly windy sidewalk grate!) But yeah, how about we just let this whole underwear thing go because, well, knowing Ke$ha -- we don't really want to know the real answer.

You can "ewww" all you want at Wiz Khalifa for licking Amber Rose's forehead at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, but we also know that you're secretly pretending you wouldn't do the same exact thing if you were standing next to her on the red carpet (but we'd probably ask first... just to be polite). Besides, the couple is married with baby, and married couples do weird things alll the time -- like get each other's faces tattooed on their bodies! So, let's just count our gross-out couple blessings and be happy that Amber and Wiz didn't, like, start clipping each other's toenails at the awards, or something. BECAUSE THAT IS DISGUSTING AND WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS.

The always-adorbz duo were snapped arriving to the 2013 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, AND reminded us that they are still VERY much in love (letting someone lick you in public obviously points to true intimacy and commitment). And while you're probably trying to zoom in to search for evidence of pores on Amber's face (good luck, we already tried), we're just going to be over here wondering what an Amber Rose forehead lick tastes like. We imagine it tastes like fresh-picked flawlessness (stop looking at us like that -- we really think about this stuff!!). What exactly does "flawless" taste like, you ask? Maybe Grey Goose + nail polish + Tiffany's diamonds? Ummmm, never mind, we don't know. We're starting to get a little weirded out by ourselves.

Our 10 Favorite Things At The 2013 Billboard Music Awards!

Award shows are kind of like high school -- watching from home is like being stuck at the nerdy table, but being at the actual event and hobnobbing with celebs is kind of like being asked to the senior prom as a freshman! Unfortunately we can't transport y'all to tonight's 2013 Billboard Music Awards, but we CAN provide you with the next best option: a beautifully curated list of the night's best, weirdest, prettiest, loudest, craziest, most rhinestone-studded and scandalous moments! So, without further delay, check out 10 of our favorite, most unforgettable moments from tonight's Billboard Music Awards!

1.) All-Justin Bieber-Everything: Tonight was DEFINITELY all about Justin Bieber! The 19-year-old singer performed twice -- once solo where he played a flight attendant (we DIE!!) for a performance of "Take You," and second, alongside his musical bestie/soul-mate/co-studded-jacket-wearer, will.i.am, for an epic collaboration of "#thatPOWER." Justin also took home a handful of of hardware -- Miley Cyrus presented The Biebs with Top Male Artist (also, did she or did she not MAJORLY roll her eyes after announcing him as the winner? Anyone?), and Cee Lo presented JB with the Milestone Award. Justin mayyyy have had one or two haters in the audience (did anyone else hear that chorus of boos?), but he's clearly doing just fine! Because in addition to Top Male Artist and the Milestone Award, Justin also snagged Top Social Artist award. Take that, anti-Beliebers! UPDATE: Miley's eye-roll was real!

2.) Selena Gomez performs "Come & Get It": Controversial b indi and all, Selena Gomez took the stage at tonight's Billboard Awards to perform her smash "Come & Get It." Rather than her "Hunger Games"/Katniss' "Girl On Fire" ensemble, Sel rocked a floor-length gold gown. But don't think for a second that all that extra fabric stopped Selena from rolling on the floor and nailing her choreography with the best of 'em! Unfortunately, we were KINDA bummed when rumors that Selena and Justin were sitting together tonight didn't pan out, but watching her hug Taylor Swift when Tay won her Top Artist award totally made up for it. Kind of.

3.) Madonna DOES NOT/WILL NOT AGE: Madonna earned the Top Touring Artist award at tonight's 2013 Billboard Music Awards, and, as we suspected, THE LADY DOES NOT AGE. We spotted a total of 0.0 wrinkles, crow's feet, mannequin lines, and/or body fat, making her not only the top touring artist, but living breathing proof that the fountain of youth does exist in some faraway, remote location you have to have as much money as Madonna to get to. And to further cement her agelessness, Madge took the stage in chains, fur, fishnets, and NO PANTS to accept her award. #OurSpiritAnimal

4.) Taylor Swift performs "22" for the first time live and pauses for a DANCE BREAKDOWN with the Jabbawockeez: We've already seen Taylor Swift's "22" video, but we could not WAIT to watch the professional Diet Pepsi drinker perform her "live young and be free!" anthem live. Taylor arrived onstage via various modes of transportation (bike, clothing rack, hot model, etc.), where she not only wore the most adorable crystal-studded unicorn T-shirt ever (PROPS X 1000000), but she paused for a dance breakdown with "America's Best Dance Crew" Season 1 winners, The Jabbawockeez. We'll also say that girlfriend totally WON THE NIGHT! Tay snagged the Billboard Artist of the Year award, the Billboard 200 Album of the Year award, Female Artist of the Year, Top Digital Artist, and Top Billboard 200 Artist, as well as all the country awards! NO WORDS.

Dear Ellie Goulding: Thank You For Being My Favorite Female At Hangout Fest

Dear Ellie Goulding,

You're probably not reading this because you're probably off writing graduate-level Taylor Swift songs and doing something profoundly British, but I just wanted to tell you that I saw almost every show at Hangout Fest, and you were basically my everything. Also, I don't know if you noticed, but it's kind of a sausage party around here. No shade to Tom Petty or Kings Of Leon or Afrojack or Bassnectar... or you, Trey Anastasio, but to quote the late, great 702, where my girls at? In my humble, unsolicited opinion, there weren't enough ladies on the bill, but Ellie Goulding, your Hangout Fest set, and your Vocoder, and your extremely cool creepers (so underrated) and your warm, wool blanket of a voice that sounds like the holy trinity of twinkling stars, pixie dust, and the gospel put a woman's touch on an otherwise dude-dominated festival. No shade to Macklemore, because his set was the truth, and seeing Tom Petty do "Running Down A Dream" with a drank in my hand, the Alabama breeze blowing through my hair, and, like, 40,000 of my closest new Southern friends was better than that time Demi Lovato drew a peen on live Internet TV. Your set was like church, and I needed "Lights." I needed "I Need Your Love." Not in a weird, complicated way that like Kanye needs Kim, but in a wholly, self-actualized, post-Shania Twain man-I-feel-like-a-woman kind of way. I know you know how that goes.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for that at Hangout Fest. I promise I won't stalk you, but if you see this and there's still time to get fried pickles at Gulf Island Grill or a Bushwacker and seafood tower at The Hangout, I'm only a tweet away.

Meet The Rap Game Ed Sheeran, Discovered At Hangout Fest (VIDEO)

Meet Matt Webb, an Ed Sheeran dead ringer who dominated a surprise freestyle rap battle before Kendrick Lamar's Hangout Fest set.

Sorry, Action Bronson. There's a new ginger rapper on the come up. You probably hadn't heard of him -- and still haven't -- unless you were one of about 10,000 people under the Boom Boom Tent at the Hangout Festival waiting for Kendrick Lamar's set to start. One of the few drawbacks to having a music festival on the beach is that, well, it takes a little effort to get to paradise, and Kendrick Lamar was running about 30 minutes late to his set due to a travel delay. So Sway, who was introducing Kendrick, took to the stage to keep the masses entertained. And what better way to keep an Alabama hip-hop beach party going than to stage an impromptu rap battle?

Which is where my new favorite ginger comes in. Sway scanned the audience for any potential young MCs in the crowd. A few young hopefuls rose up and spit a few bars and quickly sputtered out. Sorry, kids. No Kanye contracts for you. Until the final MC -- a redheaded Floridian in a black tank top -- stepped up to the mic and, without even a beat to rhyme against, dropped some "8 Mile" knowledge all over the stage in what was, if I may, probably the fifth-best hip-hop performance of 2013 Hangout Fest right behind Kendrick himself, Macklemore, The Roots, and Public Enemy.

Dillon Francis Goes To A Thrift Shop, Finds Love On A Water Slide With Chrissy Teigen At Hangout Fest (VIDEO)

I thought our list of reasons why we love Dillon Francis was pretty detailed and basically exhaustive to begin with. Dude loves cats, he's bros with Diplo (callll meeee!), I mean... he's adorable, he made one of the funniest music videos since "The Real Slim Shady," (did I mention the cats?) and he got to his Hangout Fest set with just minutes to spare. How could a dude get more perfect? Oh yeah -- he's into thrift shop.

Before he reported for duty as a special guest correspondent at Hangout Fest, we took Dillon Francis to a local thrift shop here in Gulf Shores, Ala. In keeping with the spirit of Macklemore (and, you could say, to echo the refrain of the 2013 sequester -- budget cuts, people), we wanted to save a few bucks but still spruce Dillon up before he met up with his Hangout Fest celebrity co-corespondent for the weekend, Chrissy Teigen!

PHOTOS: People At Hangout Fest Who REALLY Love America

Hangout Fest go-ers come to Gulf Shores, Ala., for acts as diverse as dance music kingpins Afrojack and Bassnectar, Southern rock legends of old -- Tom Petty -- and new -- Kings Of Leon -- and hip-hop heavyweights like Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore. The three-day festival of live music attracts sun-hungry concertgoers from all across America... And speaking of America, if there's been one overarching dress code note that many Hangout Festers clearly got, it was this: Wear your American pride, wear it often, and wear it well. Because for every guy in flip-flops, every girl in a florescent bikini top, and for every dude in cargo shorts or Spin Doctors/ velvet Cat In The Hat hat, there were throngs of people in American-flag-themed anything and everything close behind. American flag bikinis, board shorts, backpacks, hats, American flag things I couldn't identify (seriously, one dude was wearing an American flag... mini wind sock?), American flag... apparel of all stripes... er... and stars! And why not? We're on one of the best beaches in America with some of the biggest names in American music -- Stevie Wonder, The Roots, and, again, Tom Petty. Dude's so quintessentially American that he might as well be on our dollar bill.

So take a look at some of Hangout Fest's proudest, most patriotically dressed music -- and America -- lovers. They're the most unmistakably American, and for that, we salute them.
