+ Damn, Ke$ha, do the words "give" "peace" and "a chance" ring any bells? First she mixes it up with Britney Spears. Now Ke$ha is trying to back off some not particularly harsh comments she made about Justin Bieber in Maxim. The "Tik Tok" singer could, at worst, be accused of being a little condescending to Bieber in her interview, joking, "He’s a tiny little baby! I would’ve loved to push him around onstage in a carriage.” Not the worst thing ever, right? Well, she must have anticipated some serious Bieber blowback, because Ke$ha hit Twitter yesterday to apologize: "dear justin b i am so sorry if my bad joke has hurt your feelings.u r obviously so talented andi would never mean to offend u.i think u r rad” (Idolator)
+ Green Day's American Idiot album spawned hits, certified the Bay Area punks as global rock superstars and has been adapted for the Broadway stage. Now it appears that the 2004 concept album may still have more life in it, as Tom Hanks is in talks to pick up the film rights for the musical version. Hanks is no stranger to translating stage musicals to the silver screen. He produced the blockbuster film version of Mamma Mia in 2008. (MTV News)
+ In other movie news, Rihanna could be gearing up for a leap to the big screen. Rumor has it that the "Rude Boy" singer might be getting her wings, joining the likes of Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu in playing one of the angels in a sequel to the 2003 film Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. + Radiohead is much too busy trying to save the world and reinvent the music industry to trouble themselves with such trivialities as horse racing. But that hasn't stopped one man from naming a three-year-old colt after the band and entering it into the Kentucky Derby. Radiohead, the horse, is getting 20-1 odds to win the "Run for the Roses." + India.Arie will not be hitting "replay" on Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video any time soon. The neo-soul singer recently took to her Twitter account to give some constructive criticism to Gaga and society at large. While she respects Gaga's creativity, India deems the video "socially irresponsible," predicting, "It's not long before somebody does a straight NAKED video." (Crunk + Disorderly)
+ Britney and Jason still an item? Still, we stand by these guys Britney should date. Just in case. (Just Jared)
