I guess the Daisy Dukes and bikini top were in the wash. Here we have a raven-haired Katy Perry, abandoning both her prescribed "California Gurls" wardrobe, as well as her three-ring circus of a look from the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, going instead with something totally subtle: a blinding yellow dress with black leopard spots.

Perry was in New York after a spell in England, where she promoted her upcoming new album, Teenage Dream, appeared on actor James Corden's World Cup chat show (representing both the States and her fiancé, Russell Brand's beloved England), and prepared for her future stint as a guest judge on "X-Factor."

While some U.K. press deemed Katy Perry's outfit "Flintstones"-chic, we prefer to think of it as an homage to Sheena, Queen of the Jungle. But much like our soccer match with the Brits, we're just gonna call it a draw.

This week's MTV PUSH Artist of the Week is Miike Snow. With a seamless mix of dance, R&B and pop, Miike Snow has been garnering attention and gaining a gang of new fans. This week, we watched the video for "Animal," the lead track from the group's 2009 debut self-titled debut album, and their exquisite live performances from the 2010 MTV Movie Awards afterparty.

Now, check out Miike Snow's performance of "Burial" and "Silvia," shot in a less traditional environment. Namely, the middle of the woods.

"Silvia" sounds particularly beautiful, with singer Andrew Wyatt's reverbed and distorted vocals sailing out into the night sky. The band also perform "Burial," the beautiful crescendo of which is absolutely soul stirring.

Katy Perry gave us a lot to think about at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. She gave us her wild new electric Wonder Woman look and a live rendition of her new hit single, "California Gurls." And then, in a flash, it was all gone. Just days later, Katy cut a much more traditional figure walking through LAX yesterday.

Gone was the blue hair, gone were the neon nails, gone were the light-up Daisy Dukes. Instead the future Mrs. Russell Brand was rocking a pair of plain black slacks, a white T-shirt, a black blazer and a black fedora. In fact the only thing flashy on her person were a pair of awesome blue suede shoes. Word to Elvis Presley.

Even at her most casual, strolling through the airport, Katy Perry still managed to rock at least one bit of flair. And let's be real, even in her most drab attire, Katy still looks better than 99.9 percent of us when we're trying to catch a flight. For that alone, she should be applauded.

Relive Katy's performance of "California Gurls," with Snoop Dogg, live at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, below.

Nobody can sing like Christina Aguilera. That's obvious. But you know what else? Nobody can look like they're singing like Christina Aguilera, either.

Just today, the platinum blonde bombshell performed live on the "Today" show to promote the release of her upcoming album, Bionic. And in looking at the snaps from her performance, I was struck by just how much of a pro she has become at looking like she's singing really well. I mean, she sings really well! But part of that is that she really looks like she's singing well.

For instance, the above is clearly Christina trilling away at some point in a song, showing off her scale-climbing ability.

Below, we see her obviously singing the word, "yeaheahaha," with all her might:

And it's not just the really acrobatic singing! Here's the singing face Christina makes when she is singing provocative lyrics about her "Woohoo" or something ...

You sly minx! That's right, Christina has a face for every song. To see them all, in action, watch the below video of her 2010 MTV Movie Awards performance, which includes renditions of "Bionic," "Not Myself Tonight" and "Woohoo."

If you're not a fan of martial-arts movies or Korean pop music (aka "K-pop"), you might have been scratching your head when some dude named Rain walked away with the golden popcorn for Biggest Badass Star (beating out ANGELINA JOLIE!) at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. So for those of you unfamiliar with Rain, let us introduce you to one of Korea's most talented exports. For those of you who ARE familiar with Rain ... LET'S TALK ABOUT HOW AWESOME HE IS!

Over the past eight years, Rain has risen to superstar status in his native Korea, thanks to an über-successful singing, dancing, modeling and acting career. The illegally handsome Renaissance man got caught, however, in the U.S. hype machine last year when Megan Fox started singing his praises, describing him as "the Korean Justin Timberlake."

After a turn in "Speed Racer," as rookie racer Taejo Togokahn, Rain took on the lead role in "Ninja Assassin," which is about a jaded assassin who's looking to kick ass -- and take names -- during a plight to destroy his former mentor. His role in "Ninja Assassin" won him the Biggest Badass golden popcorn.

To experience Rain's badass-ness for yourself, check out "Ninja Assassin," out now. Listen to Rain's latest mini-album, Back To The Basic, listen to his hit "Hip Song," watch him accept his Movie Award and check out his 2006 video "How To Avoid The Sun." No passport required.

OBVIOUSLY Katy Perry's now-signature blue hair and Ken Jeong's dreamy "little tiger snooze" costume were two of the biggest standout style moments from last night's 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Those, and the Jersey Shore" girls and Lindsay Lohan, who had on enough metallics to permanently deprogram all of the metal detectors at LAX. But there were also a handful of beauty trends and quirky details that shouldn't be overlooked.

Nude/Next-To-Nude Lips: Flashy dresses and obviously made-up eyes ruled the Movie Awards red carpet, but bold lips did not. Even Katy Perry followed the "play up ONE thing" rule, offsetting her blue wig with baby pink lips. Audrina Patridge and Stephanie Pratt followed suit, complementing their black-lined eyes with just a trace of neutral gloss. Meanwhile, Jessica Biel took natural glam to even hotter new places.

Pretty Ponytails! Audrina Patridge's ponytail kept her look fresh and not too overly done. Nicky Hilton's loosely braided ponytail looked picture-perfect, and Kristen Stewart's messy-on-purpose ponytail made us fall in love with her all over again.

Katy Perry's Neon Nails: You may have been too busy noticing Katy Perry's other ... assets... like her BLUE WIG, obviously. But look closely, and Katy pulled off two manis in one night! A super-summery neon yellow for the red carpet, and hot pink during her "California Gurls" performance. That's a seasoned showbiz pro for you, nailing every last detail.

Heavy Metals: Christina Aguilera's all about the S&M and freaky-deaky between-the-sheetsies behavior these days. (Don't believe me? Have you seen this?) So her Versace Atelier chain detail dress was the perfect way to say "I may clean up nicely, but I'm still ready to get 'Dirrty.' " And we also loved Audrina Patridge's chained-and-cuffed Giuseppe Zanotti spike heels.

Here we have some new music from the "Eclipse" soundtrack, courtesy of Florence And The Machine's "Heavy In Your Arms."

Regardless of how you feel about "The Twilight Saga," whether you count yourself among the hardest core of hard-core Twi-hards, or you're merely someone who casually passes through Forks whenever the movies drop -- you can't deny that the atmospheric music takes the movies to a whole new level.

As we saw in the parking lot love triangle scene between Bella, Edward and Jacob that debuted on the MTV Movie Awards last night, "Eclipse" is packing some seriously heavy drama. With that in mind, this Florence And The Machine track certainly matches the mood.

Florence And The Machine -- we fell in love with the band back in 2008 -- has been compared to the likes of PJ Harvey and Kate Bush, and "Heavy In Your Arms" totally invokes both of those iconic vocalists. It's pained, sparse and full of soaring vocals, arching over minimal percussion and piano.

As Jay-Z once said, after the show it's the afterparty. And last night at the afterparty for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, this week's MTV PUSH Artist Miike Snow performed a sweet five-song set under the L.A. sky.

With the production talents of Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg (aka Bloodshy & Avant) and Andrew Wyatt's dreamy vocals, Miike Snow's music is a dense and atmospheric listening experience. So it's fascinating to see how perfectly the songs translate live. Miike Snow fills out a bit onstage, with a grip of additional live players adjusting nobs, playing drums, tinkling keyboards and bringing their sound to life. It's especially impressive to see the band build and add layers to its live version of "Burial."

Tonight everyone seemed to shine at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards -- fashionwise, at least. From fresh, glowing spray tans to an overwhelming amount of rhinestoned and sequined dresses, the red carpet was a parade of shiny moving things. Read on to see who stood out the most.

BEST-DRESSED FASHION DESIGNER NOT WEARING HER OWN DESIGNS: WHITNEY PORT
Whitney Port of "The City" looked summertime lovely in a beige and yellow dress by Yigal Azrouel. But why didn't the aspiring fashion designer wear Whitney Eve, her own line? Surely, this would've been a perfect chance for her to draw some attention to it, and last time we checked, the Movie Awards aren't exactly the place to shy away from shameless self-promotion. That said, this dress looks great on Whitney.

BUSTIEST DEBUT: JWOWW
While Whitney didn't dress in her own line for the red carpet, Jersey Shore's Jenni "J-WOWW" Farley knew to jump on a good opportunity when it basically Jersey-slapped her in the face. The "Jersey Shore" star took her moment on the carpet to debut her own fashion line, named Filthy Couture, wearing a pink sparkly minidress. At least the name of the line is clear in its intentions.

BEST USE OF KHAKI: T.I.
Usually the men we see wearing this much khaki like to go yachting and play polo. We're not sure if T.I. took up the equine sport or sailing during his prison time, but what he does with khaki here is what few can do: Make it look, well, cool.

MOST HIDDEN WAISTLINES: EVA MENDES AND AUDRINA PATRIDGE
These ladies have amazing bodies. Sadly for us, the gorgeous girls got lost in a sack of sequins.

BEST ILLUSION: AMANDA SEYFRIED
Amanda's Stella McCartney dress featured lace swatches mixed with nude panels. Look too fast and it may seem like those nude sections are actually skin. Unfortunately for you, they are not.

MOST EASILY CONFUSED WITH A GUY WHO WORKS AT AN OFFICE SUPPLY STORE: MICHAEL CERA
We're loving the adorable mismatching outfit on Mr. Cera. So fitting! The only thing that would make it better is if his pocket had a graphic calculator and three different types of writing utensils in it.

BEST USE OF SPARKLES: JESSICA ALBA
Jessica Alba knows the Golden Rule of Sparkles: A little bit goes a long way. The shiny tights were just enough, especially since she had so many other great pieces to focus on like the cool necklace, pristine hair, and see-through top.

BEST LITTLE BLACK DRESS: SANDRA BULLOCK
Wow, Sandy! The actress looked amazing in her supershort black dress. The deep V in the back added an extra-sexy element to it, prompting Betty White to publicly advise her not to turn the dress around in the future. Does Betty's fashion love deserve bonus points? We think so.

If you're planning your next shopping trip according to what tonight's 2010 MTV Movie Awards performers wore, you might want to pick up some extra batteries. Both stars of the Movie Awards' musical performances -- Christina Aguilera and Katy Perry -- outfitted themselves in blinking lights. (Apparently sequins just don't cut it anymore!) But who wore light-up clothes better?

In Katy Perry's case, we already knew she loved the idea of being a walking flashlight. The singer garnered worldwide attention for a light-up dress she wore to a gala in May. So we weren't surprised when she took the stage wearing a glow-in-dark pink top and blue shorts (for a second it looked like her shoes lit up, too). And just when Katy was this close to making light-up garments her signature, Christina Aguilera came along and upped the ante.

Sure, Katy rocked lights all over her body, but Xtina was more selective, and only put the lights on one place ... her lady parts! And not just dotted lights either. Christina wore a light-up heart between her legs. And it BLINKED. For us, that makes Christina the winner of this glow-in-the dark face-off, simply due to the fact that if all the power ever mysteriously went out in the Gibson Amphitheater, we could simply rely on Xtina to guide us to safety with her illuminated vag.

+ What do you think? Who wore the light-up clothes better, Katy Perry or Christina Aguilera? Watch Katy Perry's and Christina Aguilera's Movie Awards performances. And if you need a closer look at Xtina's heart, check it out below.
