Sad news to report: Leslie Carter (sister to singers Nick Carter and Aaron Carter) passed away yesterday. While cause of death is still unknown, the entire Carter family is grieving for the loss of the 25-year-old.

Leslie followed in both of her brothers' musical footsteps back in 2001 and released a single, "Like Wow," which was featured on the "Shrek" soundtrack that year. She later shared the spotlight with her siblings when she appeared on the family's E! reality show "House Of Carters," where she was often shown writing and working on music.

Leslie was equally successful in her personal life. She married her husband, Mike, in 2008, and three years later, the couple welcomed their daughter, Alyssa Jane, into the world.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the entire Carter family. R.I.P, Leslie.

Nick's little bro Aaron Carter is taking his show on the road. And not just any road! He's headed to Broadway! Looks like Aaron's year is ending on a high note -- he started out 2011 with a rehab stay, but we're glad to hear he'll star in an Off-Broadway production of "The Fantasticks," according to Playbill.com. Lest you think this is Aaron's first trip to the acting rodeo, ladies, this Carter's a seasoned thespian. His previous roles include Broadway's "Seussical" and a 2009 stint on "Dancing With The Stars." (NOT that we have is IMDb profile memorized. Even though we do.)

Aaron will star as Matt in the Tom Jones- and Harvey Schmidt-penned musical, which happens to be the longest-running musical in the world. "Never in the 51-year-history of 'The Fantasticks' have we opted to cast someone with Aaron Carter’s level of fame, instead quietly enjoying our reputation for giving many future stars their first professional performing gig," Tom Jones (not this Tom Jones, by the way) said in a statement. You can check Aaron out at the Snapple Theatre Center beginning Nov. 7. If you see us -- we'll be the one hysterically screaming outside of side door waiting for Aaron to come out -- please do say hello!!

The defining factors of our generation: iPhones, Facebook, hipsters...and rehab. Aaron Carter is the newest name added to a long list of young stars to recently enter a treatment facility. Aaron's rep said the singer, who is currently working on a new album, is planning "to heal some emotional and spiritual issues." And you know what? We think that's great. Getting a helping hand is always a step in the right direction.

Well, it usually is. We've all seen what Lindsay Lohan has gone through after her various trips to rehab. Sometimes it's for the better, sometimes it's for the worse. We're hoping that the worst of it is over and the new and improved Linds we're seeing these days stays new and improved.

We're also hoping that maybe Aaron Carter can follow in the footsteps of Demi Lovato. She's stayed pretty quiet since entering a treatment facility back in November of last year, and that seems like a really smart move. It's kind of like "Fight Club"--the first rule of rehab is you do not talk about rehab. Actually, most of life's important lessons are kind of like "Fight Club."

Get well soon, Aaron Carter. Come back healthy and give us another guilty pleasure like "Aaron's Party." There's no way I'm the only person waiting for that.
