The Lonely Island, the comedy trio of Andy Samberg and longtime friends and "Saturday Night Live" writers Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer, are back, and they brought their d***s! We're not just trying to be gratuitously crass. The guys debuted their new song and video on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" last week, and it is... morally corrupt AND HILARIOUS. The song's called, appropriately, "We're Back (To Share Ridiculous Facts About Our D***s)," and they do just that: rap about their triumphant return (following their last album, Incredibad), and also how gross their d***s are.
"We're Back" continues in The Lonely Island's grand tradition of very funny, sometimes dirty meta-raps that parody themselves while actually being good songs. When they recorded "I'm On A Boat" with T-Pain, The Lonely Island were basically holding up a mirror to mainstream rap, laughing at the excessive, cliche imagery in hip-hop.
Now, the dudes are providing some excellent commentary on the state of hip-hop by simply telling us about their genitals, which is by no means uncommon in the game. It's just that, between Andy, Jorma and Akiva, their d***s are particularly unappealing.

I know, we're so Saturday night on a Tuesday afternoon, but it took us some time to wrap our brains around the Google-minded genius of The Lonely Island (the guys behind "Saturday Night Live"'s digital shorts) and Akon's latest digital short "I Just Had Sex." Well, let's be real with each other: First we had to come to grips with the fact that our mega-crush Andy Samberg was ACTUALLY saying the word "sex" on TV. We'd simply been subconsciously hearing it come out of his mouth every time he says, you know, anything. Like "the."
THEN we stumbled upon this blog post discussing the SEO (that's search engine optimization, BT dubs) GOLD that is a music video featuring patented hotties Blake Lively and Jessica Alba with the word "sex" in the title. What "Maxim" man HASN'T done a little "research" on the topic?
The video itself is full of subtly hilarious gems that manifest as you watch it multiple times. For starters, a be-tube-socked Blake Lively and Jessica Alba, with a side pony (hilarious in and of itself!) respectively, looking totally disgusted. Andy Samberg emerging from the ladies' room inexplicably, saying, "Oh hey, didn't see you there, guess what I just did? Had sex..." Jorma Taccone making a postcoital phone call to his parents from Jessica Alba's landline. The fact that Andy Samberg felt the need to specify that he did it with his penis. Last, we heart the part when the guys ponder over pedis about why their female counterparts even wanted them to do it (doesn't really make sense?).
And Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer--if you guys ever need some SEO guidance from a seasoned gal of the Interwebs--you know, don't be strangers, OK? Pretty sure we'll all never go back to our "not-having-sex ways of the past."
Watch "I Just Had Sex" (again) and tell us what you think!

In case you hadn't noticed, The Lonely Island is totally Buzzworthy's boyfriend. Andy, Akiva and Jorma ... Ever since Tamar got them on The 5, we've been obsessed with them. OK, that's a lie, we were obsessed with them way before. So, you can imagine how pumped we are that The Lonely Island are MTV's newest featured artist!
In typical brilliant Lonely Island style, they've broken the mold with a series of videos that we never saw coming. Just in time for MTV's Spring Break 2009 Panama City Beach party, they've mashed up footage of MTV Spring Break '88 with hilarious new (super crappy looking -- see above!) Lonely Island sarcasm. They use some fancy editing to make it look like they're interacting with the mullet-headed, Oakley-faced meatheads that kept the beach interesting 21 springs ago, and they pull it off magically well. Oh yeah, and Andy Samberg's in a Speedo, if that's something that you care about ...
As you know, this all also coincides with the release of The Lonely Island's debut album, Incredibad. If you somehow haven't seen the insane video for "I'm On a Boat" yet, that should be high on your priority list, too. Before you get to that, though, definitely take a few minutes to watch the hilariously bad-haired Spring Beach clips below. They'll pretty much change your life.

+ Much to her record label's chagrin, Island girl Amy Winehouse has sworn off her trademark sultry soul sound for her next album and has instead adopted a more doob-friendly Reggae flavor. As long as it doesn't have the meth-y fresh tingle, who cares? (The Sun)
+ The Lonely Island boys (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone) were recently named to Details' list of "mavericks." And no. Sarah Palin had nothing to do with it. Thank God. (Details)
+ Hollywood darling Anne Hathaway has been tapped to bring Judy Garland's life to the big screen. (Pop Crunch)
+ Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan is busy crashing her brand-new Maserati into something stationary. (Radar Online)
+ Fergie's keeping her lady lumps and her baby bumps separate, at least until after her tour with the Black Eyed Peas. (Us Magazine)
+ Speaking of lady lumps and taking dumps, can anyone remember a time ever when Scarlett Johansson wasn't pushing those things in our face? Whatever happened to actually putting models on the cover of Vogue?? (Pretty Boring)
+ Have you seen this sneak peek of The Hills Season Five and all the gloriousness that is Audrina and Brody kind of macking it?? (Remote Control)

You'd like to think you know everything there is to know about The Lonely Island -- the three-dude braintrust behind Saturday Night Live's Digital Shorts/ your favorite viral videos like "I'm On A Boat," the jeans-soilingly hilarious "J--z In My Pants," and the ode to the surprise-inside tradition of gift-wrapping your junk that is "D--k In A Box" -- and their debut comedy album, Incredibad. But just because you know all the words to "Santana DVX" (and just because you camp out outside Akiva Schaffer's apartment, which you should definitely stop doing... oh wait... that's me) doesn't mean you know EVERYTHING about The Lonely Island.
Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg (who's hosting the 2009 MTV Movie Awards!), and Jorma Taccone sat down with me (well, technically I stood), and revealed the videos that inspired Incredibad, from R. Kelly's "Your Body's Callin'," to En Vogue's pants-j-ing "Never Gonna Get It" video, to the blessing and curse that was Snow's "Informer."
Watch them all below, or, if you'd rather click on a link than a button, watch The Lonely Island's Incredibad-inspired videos, with commentary right here.
