Straight out of Brooklyn and comfortably set in the '80s, Acrylics are a newish band with a vintage sound. And to go with that vintage sound they've made a pretty incredible video for their track "Molly's Vertigo," which will surely send you running to the "vintage" section of MTVMUSIC.com.
The video directed by Brendan Harman and Weird Days (who've made videos for Das Racist, Amazing Baby and Black Lips) is a remembrance of music videos past, calling to mind the visual works of the Eurythmics and Tango In The Night-era Fleetwood Mac.
That's fitting because Acrylics owe a lot of their sound to the aforementioned band, and singer Molly sure does a nice Stevie Nicks impersonation vocally. (We hear a little Blondie in there too.)
Acrylics released one EP, All Of The Fire, in 2008, via Terrible Records, the imprint run by Grizzly Bear member Chris Taylor. "Molly's Vertigo" is featured on their debut full-length album, Lives And Treasure, due out March 1.
Watch Acrylics' "Molly's Vertigo" video below. And as a bonus, get some Stevie Nicks in your life with Fleetwood Mac's "Seven Wonders" video.

Amazing Baby's future is so bright they gotta wear shades... indoors, while being interviewed.
In this episode of "The 5" the dudes from mystic/psychedelic dance-rock group Amazing Baby talk about the circuitous route that their song "Supreme Being" took to make it to Green Label Sound single status.
And then there's some stuff that, frankly, may or may not be true. Was Will Roan's father really a whaler? Did he really take a hot air balloon to school every day? Was his mom a pirate?
We also learn about Simon O'Connor's childhood pizza and soda overdose and they compare their drummer to legendary Chicago Bears defensive lineman William "Refrigerator" Perry.
We're through the looking glass here, people. Try and figure out what's truth and what's fiction in the interview below. And feel free to check out their "Supreme Being" video as a little bonus.

Amazing Baby are bringing Baggy back. Baggy was an off-shoot of the Madchester scene--a grip of British groups, mostly from Manchester, who mixed psychedelia with rock and house--and Amazing Baby seem to be heavily under the influence of that sound.
In this new video for "Supreme Being," the New York group, who released their album Rewild earlier this year, plays around with some vintage psychedelic effects, both sonically and visually. It will definitely shuffle nicely with tracks by Primal Scream, The Stone Roses and The Happy Mondays.

The Brooklyn band Amazing Baby, tells you everything you need to know about them in 150 words while on location at the East River Amphitheater in New York City. The guys talk, condensed Twitter style, about getting to know one another, being in it for the long haul, and moving forward with their sound.
Made up (somewhat) of former co-workers at ringtone company, Amazing Baby makes dancey, psychedelic pop-rock that would sound just fine in a shuffled playlist with the likes of MGMT, Animal Collective, Chairlift and classics like Pink Floyd and Love. Their album, Rewild, is in stores now.
Watch Amazing Baby's new MTV interview and their "Head Dress" video.

Amazing Baby is a tribe of Brooklyn weirdos on a hardcore vision quest. On their debut full-length, Rewild, the sonic explorers glam out in the far reaches of a dozen imagined mini universes, introducing mystical creatures ("The Narwhal"), gruesome danger ("Bayonets," "Deerripper") and fantastic real estate ("Invisible Palace"). In league with fellow Brooklyn heavyweights MGMT and Chairlift, Amazing Baby have been generating high-intensity buzz since the first sky-ripping growl of their neo-psychedelic revolution.
Amazing Baby's latest single, "Smoke Bros," is a cosmic boogie about starving cannibals that's half smirk, half snarl. The single's heady pomp and swagger is pure T.Rex, but its outer space guitar sounds and cynical edge are pure Brooklyn, 2009. Don't miss this new glam-rock (hey, aren't Tokio Hotel kinda glam...?) juggernaut.
Watch the mind-blowing video for "Headdress" below, to get a feel for the level of Arcade Fire intensity we're dealing with here, then download "Smoke Bros" for free on Amazing Baby's website.
