The last time we saw Arctic Monkeys, they were doing the "Prison Break" thing in the California desert in their "Black Treacle" video. The clip for the song's B-side, "You And I," brings it all back home, capturing the band cruising the English countryside by motorcycle and goofing around in the studio. And they brought a friend: U.K. retro-crooner Richard Hawley, a dude you should check out if you're into deep, masculine voices and feeling especially classy. (We've listened to his song "The Ocean" probably 200 times -- it's just that epic.)

"You And I" is credited to Hawley and the Death Ramps, a suitably metal name, and the band definitely uses the alter ego to get heavier than usual: the track's powered by a hulking two-note riff that stomps back and forth like Godzilla. It's pretty much the kind of jam you want to hear on a loop when you're wearing a leather jacket and motoring across Europe (which we do all the time, in our dreams). Also, bonus for Arctic Monkeys GIF makers/lovers: The :46 mark is about to change your life.

As you no doubt have scheduled in capital letters all up in your Facebook events, Arctic Monkeys are currently on tour with the Black Keys. Mr. Hawley's last album, Truelove's Gutter, dropped in 2009, but we recommend starting with 2005 classic Cole's Corner if you're looking to dig in.

We get the feeling Arctic Monkeys just caught up on "Breaking Bad." Also, "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas"? The band’s California-filmed video "Black Treacle" is all orange jumpsuits and weird deserts, starring drummer Matt Helders as an escaped convict looking for a mystery brunette in a wedding dress. Meanwhile, a '50s-styled Alex Turner plays leather-jacketed chauffeur to his bandmate and, um, a lady of the evening while dude’s poor fiancée is off ruining that white gown. Arctic Monkeys: classy blokes.

The oddball clip gets slightly sci-fi in its closing moments, with floating objects hollering at gravity later and a sad-looking dead lion abandoned in the sand. We’re guessing PETA vetoed the polar bears (#LOST). Nothing strange about the music, though: It's the sort of hard-drinking, sing-along guitar rock we’ve come to expect from the catchy Brits. "Black Treacle" is the fourth single from last year's Suck It And See, the band's fourth album –- they're all grown up! Aww, we still remember downloading their demos on Soulseek on our parents' desktop. (Shh, don't tell Mom.)

Arctic Monkeys will join the Black Keys for a North American tour this spring, so bring your hair gel. And your favorite jungle cat.

+ We already knew our fave rap stars were totes money, and Forbes' "Cash Kings" list of hip-hop's top earners confirmed it. Leading the list are Jay-Z, Sean "Diddy" Combs and Kanye West, and for the first time a Cash Queen cracks the Top 20: Nicki Minaj. Represent. (Forbes)

+ Having caught a recent New Kids on the Block/Backstreet Boys show I can report the guys weren't exactly overdressed for the occasion, but they were definitely wearing pants. Not so on their final tour stop in London, Ontario. Undies alert! (The FW)

After leaving the insanity of Sin City, we went to play KFMA Day in Tucson, Arizona, with Muse. We went on stage right at sunset, and it was magic. Thanks to our family in Arizona for such a great show, and to the guys in Muse for coming to watch our set.

Left Tuscon and took a day off at the Grand Canyon. We picked a random spot and pulled over to climb around and explore, and I quickly realized I had stopped at the EXACT same spot when I drove across the country to Los Angeles for the first time well over a decade ago. Of all the gin joints ... serendipitous.

A beautiful day with the gang and then out of nowhere a snowstorm. Weird but great. Got on the bus, ate a yam and some homemade guacamole, and off we went.

Well, she at least showed up to last night's 2008 Brit Awards. And at this point, showing up is half the battle. She didn't walk away with any awards, but she did perform two songs -- "Love Is a Losing Game" and "Valerie" -- with Mark Ronson, who picked up an award for Best Male Solo Artist (an award second in importance only to the unofficial MTV Buzzworthy Obsession of the Year award), but unfortunately he did not strip on stage to celebrate his win. (Boo!) Instead, he accepted the award by saying "I've never felt so British or so male before in my life."
