Kid Rock will perform live at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 7 in Hollywood!

You might want to make sure your kid sister is in bed early that night, because things could get a lil' dangerous, now that this has been confirmed. Hell, last year he threw down with Tommy Lee in the audience in Las Vegas. Imagine what he might be able to pull off on stage!

Our artist of the week will be plenty warmed up, since he's been on the road all summer, kickin' it with Southern rock stalwarts Lynyrd Skynyrd and relishing his latest big hit, "All Summer Long." And he's pretty busy on VMA weekend, too, performing Sept. 5 in New York as part of the annual Fashion Rocks concert and on his way west, hitting the Rock Jam in Grand Junction, Col., on Sept. 6.
