Hey Monday recently released a video for their new song, "Candles." The Florida natives, fronted by Cassadee Pope, find themselves in a bleak, casually haunted house, surrounded by 15 fire hazards' worth of candles, which signify that this is very much a torch song. It almost feels like the chapter that should follow Taylor Swift's "Back To December" video. You know -- houses, sadness, regret, melancholia.
The good news for Hey Monday is that "Candles" will be featured on the March 15 episode of "Glee," which is, without a doubt, the TV show on which you want your music heard these days if you're looking to make a splash with the same kids who rush to iTunes the moment Lea Michele lets out a note.

From time to time, everyone can use some good advice. And, again, from time to time, everyone has some advice to give. In this fun chat with the Florida pop-rock band Hey Monday, we get to hear about both of those times.
Led by singer Cassadee Pope, Hey Monday's young, but that doesn't mean they don't have some sage advice to give to friends and casual listeners alike. Take, for example, their song "Mr. Pushover," off the group's Beneath It All release. When asked which songs we should check for on said album, Cassadee Pope points to "Mr. Pushover" as a track that doles out advice to anyone who's been trampled under foot in a race with love.
But even the most wise of bands still need a guiding hand. And that's where Pete Wentz comes in. The band members talk about their time on the road with Fall Out Boy and all they learned from the former FOB bass player/lyricist.
Take our advice and watch this Buzzworthy exclusive interview with Hey Monday, below. And while you're at it, be sure to watch the group's awesome "I Don't Wanna Dance" clip, as well. Beneath It All is out now.

Did'ya hear? Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas broke up -- again. Tres sad. How will our favorite Kewpie-faced duo learn to live another Disney day? Um, by dating profusely until they meet their rebound match. Duh.
In case our beloved wholesome twosome needs a little help playing the field, I thought I'd play matchmaker and offer them up a couple A+ suggestions for future flings -- wholesome flings, of course. Scope out my matches after the jump! Read more...

If Hey Monday is a pop-rock Decaydance crop you've yet to harvest, have a sample of the sweet and punky quintet via their new Buzzworthy "The 5" interview. First off, the Florida group fully agrees they're all about "living the dream," whatever that means to you. Perhaps it means black V-necks and really awesome hair. And Apple products. See if you can guess which of this crew is officially Apple certified...
In case you didn't notice, Cassadee Pope is the group's sole female; she is also (coincidentally, of course) the only member who doesn't enjoy the taste of fish. Ha! That did not come from me. Neither did the joke about transitioning the band from "sausage fest" to "clam... (bake)."
OK, have I said enough? Watch and you'll even learn how Hey Monday's single "How You Love Me Now" can be distilled into a finger wag and an "un-unh!"

Earlier this week, Travis and Hunter of We The Kings told you about their proms -- Travis had a maje faux
pas at his prom after he tripped over the electric cord powering up the DJ booth and killed the music (whoopersdoodles!), and Hunter entered a time machine and starred in Back to the Future!
Now, watch this extra-special prom reenactment video (like the ones you see on the TV!) that We The Kings sent to Buzzworthy, and see what happens when Travis goes to prom with a date who looks an AWFUL lot like Danny. Looks like SOMEONE's got a "Secret Valentine!"
+ Plus: Watch more Buzzworthy prom videos from Boys Like Girls, Taking Back Sunday, All Time Low, Cassadee Pope, The Veronicas, and Honor Society. And check out 12 cheesy prom songs (cheesy good and bad).

What's better than going to prom in an outfit that's too tight with someone from another school who's completely in the Friend Zone? Going to prom with MTV!
We asked lots of artists and bands if they'd go to prom with us. They said no. Clearly unafraid of rejection, we asked them to share their prom memories good, bad, and completely embarrassing. They said yes!
First up, Hey Monday's Cassadee Pope, who had no mortifying prom tales to tell but instead a super crafty one -- not only did Cassadee wear a version of the yellow dress Kate Hudson wore in How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, but she ordered it online and had it tailored to fit her! Cassadee, I'm sure you looked even better than Kate. (I mean, let's be honest -- you're cuter.)
+ After the jump, Watch Cassadee share her prom story, watch Hey Monday's latest video, "How You Love Me Now," and check out Hey Monday's new tour bus! And stay tuned for All Time Low's prom memories.

Hey Monday left for tour! Hey Monday brought a camera! Hey Monday taped their lives on the road, in the tour bus, and all the suburban mall stops and golf carts along the way on the Believers Never Die Part Deux tour and Bamboozle Left. Then Hey Monday almost got "arrested" by a Paul Blart type (really a member of The Cab in disguise?) And Hey Monday sent us the tape!
Watch Hey Monday's behind-the-scenes tour footage -- SOMEONE get Cassadee a Throat Coat sponsorship, pronto -- and get tickets to see Hey Monday, Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, All Time Low, and Metro Station at the mtvU Music & Movies Festival.

Cassadee Pope of Hey Monday stopped by MTV today and performed (no sign of Real World Brooklyn's Chet, BTW) to a small room of MTV staff members, and some yums Rice Krispie treats, Doritos, and candy. (And iff you've been following my MTV Buzzworthy Twitter, you know that I! LOVE! SNACKS!) And I LOVE Cassadee too! She performed acoustic versions of "Homecoming" and "How You Love Me Now" and looked all sunny and sweet. Cassadee and I talked for a few minutes after her performance, and she had this to say to all of her Buzzworthy blog fans:
"Going back on tour with Fall Out Boy is gonna be awesome because we love them! So, see you all there!"
+ See Hey Monday and Fall Out Boy this spring on the mtvU Movies and Music festival, with Metro Station, Cobra Starship, All Time Low, and, um, 50 Cent!

We know, we know, we're the ones who told you Hey Monday's leading lady looks and sounds a bit like Paramore's Hayley Williams. But guess what: she could do a lot worse. Yes, singer Cassadee Pope has similar highlights -- and high notes -- to the "Misery Business" singer, but the 19-year-old (who's also been called Avril-y by some) has more important things to deal with than whether or not she kinda, sorta reminds you of someone else.
Like, for instance, the fact that her emo-punk band -- which includes bassist Jersey Moriarty, drummer Elliot James and guitar heroes Mike Gentile and Alex Lipshaw -- is about to wrap up their tour with Cash Cash and We The Kings ... and head out on the road with Fall Out Boy, Metro Station and All Time Low (!!!!). And that her boss is basically Pete Wentz.
So quit with the comparisons (again, totally admit to being hypocritical here...) and just appreciate Hey Monday's latest -- the a poptastic smash that is "Homecoming" -- in its own right. Oh, and consider this: Maybe Hayley Williams just sounds like her.
+ Bonus: Hey Monday has their own Tumblr! Let the cyber-stalking begin!
