As rising stars go, Charice's ascent has been pretty dizzying by anyone's standards. The YouTube star made her breakthrough on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," where she sang "My Heart Will Go On" for Celine Dion. Since then she's begun recording professionally, releasing her single "Pyramid," and has been lined up for recurring guest role on "Glee" next season.

So, seeing as how this wunderkind is on such a quick rise, we thought no better time than now to capture her on camera. In these exclusive MTV shots, we find Charice on the precipice of stardom, but still exhibiting personable charm.

Last month we introduced you to the YouTube sensation/Oprah-fave/mini-Celine-Dion that is Charice and her breakthrough video for "Pyramid." We were so compelled by Charice's undeniable charm, only-on-the-Internet-could-this-happen story and her powerful voice that we had to track her down and ask her a few questions.

In this Buzzworthy interview, Charice talks about the influence that her mom's musical career had on her and how her mom "discovered" her talent when she caught a then 4-year-old Charice singing Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On."

Charice also dispenses some advice on competing in singing competitions, compares life as a teenager in the United States and in her native Philippine, and dishes some details on her "Oprah" appearances.

Kind of daunting when you run into a teenager with such incredible momentum, but that's exactly what's going on with Charice. She's hit critical mass on YouTube and has undeniable vocal talent as well as a groundswell of support from some pretty big names. Plus, Charice has made multiple appearances on "Oprah," and during one episode, after she sang Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," Oprah did her SURPRISE thing and introduced Charice to Celine herself via satellite. You know, normal teenager stuff.

Now the (almost) 18-year-old singer has a hit song, "Pyramid," which features Iyaz. "Pyramid" is a pretty impressive and inspiring mid-tempo ballad, and we're confident you'll be hearing more of Charice for a long time.
