+ Move over "Drake's Knee's" Twitter! Time to make some room for "Teyana's Mustache," another fake Twitter account named after a celeb's body part. What's next?? "PammiesBoobays?" (Twitter)

+ Kings of Leon tore up the Today show stage this past Friday at NYC's Rockefeller Center. These guys are sooooo hot and sound so GOOD!! I need to go towel off now, if you'll excuse me. (The Rad Report)

+ Gotta scroll down a bit after you click, but here's a really cute interview with Demi Lovato, who topped the Billboard charts last week at #1 with her sophomore album "Here We Go Again." Congrats, Demi! (Katie & Karleigh)

+ This one is bringing the Monday LOLz: Whitney Houston's Good Morning America performance next month will be taped instead of sung live because Ms. Houston is "not a morning person." Is that what we're calling it these days? (PopCrunch)

+ No Doubt's Gwen Stefani and Paramore's Hayley Williams teamed up in concert together in Irvine, CA at what was at the least an unforgettable show. (Neon Limelight)

+ Remember when Rihanna almost got in trouble for giving a tattoo to her tattoo artist? Well, now Chris Brown is doing the same crap. (Singersroom Celebs)

+ Rocker Dave Grohl got a street named after him in his hometown of Warren, OH. (NME)

Back in '91, before all the glitz and graphics and manipulatively salacious voiceovers, all we had at MTV were great bands, board games and a huge amount of lard. That's no clever wordplay. I literally mean that we had a ton of Crisco on hand. Or so it would seem from the very lo-fi production below, in which Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic strips down to briefs and gets a full body Crisco massage from Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl, before playing slippery Twister with Smashing Pumpkins.

Billy Corgan has long hair. I forgot that was even possible. Also, pre-peroxide James Iha looks so nervous, it's amazing he didn't die. Watch as a very lively (read: alive) Kurt Cobain playfully launches globs of Crisco across the room as a quiet audience inexplicably barely looks up from their beers and cigarettes. It looks like it's about one in the afternoon. What?! The nineties officially made absolutely no sense.

+ 50 Cent is happy to report that Kanye West is definitely not gay. He's just sensitive. (Perez Hilton)

+ New trainwreck of a couple alert: Courtney Love + Mickey Rourke are a couple? Um, VH1 reality programming execs, are you ON TOP OF THIS???. (Pop Eater)

+ Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, on the other hand, isn't afraid to fly his rainbow flag...even if it's just for moral support. (Towel Road)

+ Oh gosh oh gosh oh gosh!! New/old David Archuleta song? "It's All About Love"!?!?!? (Team Archie)

+ Based on the recently leaked pics from the March ish of W magazine, we think Madonna and boy toy Jesus Luz make a pretty smokin' couple. We have no idea if the rumors about those two crazy kids are true, but for Madge's sake, we sincerely hope they are. (Hard Candy)

+ Mandy Moore and Ryan "Call Me Bryan And I'll Freak" Adams are engaged. Dorky dudes, there IS hope! (People)

+ File under interesting (read: potentially catastrophic) career choices: Jewel and Lil' Kim are on the next season's cast of Dancing With The Stars. (Stupid Celebrities)

+ Don't call it a comeback! Ciara's in Enrique Iglesias' new video, "Takin' Back My Love." (That Grape Juice)

+ Q: Guess who DIDN'T get nominated for a Country Music Award? A: Jessica Simpson. And we're sending you a an e-hug Jess, cause DAYOM, you had a rough coupla weeks. (Us Magazine)

Of course they're awesome, they're the Foo Fighters, after all. And the Dave Grohl-led group has a long and storied MTV Video Music Awards history.

Prior to this year, the band has 14 nominations to their credit. In 1996, their "Big Me" was up for five Moonmen and they walked with the Best Group Video honor. Much deserved, mind you, because of its most excellent send-up of classic Mentos commercials, not to mention Dave's braids. (Watch it after the jump.)

Since then, despite netting two nominations in 1997 for "Monkey Wrench," three in 1998 for "Everlong," two in 2000 for "Learning to Fly" and two in 2005 for "Best of You," they haven't been able to take home the hardware again.

Will that change this year as they go up against Paramore, Slipknot, Linkin Park and Fall Out Boy for the Best Rock Video honor? They've got the Sam Brown-directed "The Pretender" in the running, so it's entirely possible that they will finally add another Moonman to the shelf so that the first one will finally have someone to canoodle with on long winter nights. Ew. Total candy hangover. And it’s a hangover of the “fancy,” “alternative” Tootsie Roll fruit flavor variety, which is probably the worst kind there is. But, we still have a few treats left in our proverbial Buzzworthy blog bag … we have no idea what that means either…. Sooo, as if having the brand-new, completely HA-LARIOUS Foo Fighters video, “Long Road To Ruin,” in our hands today weren’t reason enough to wish every day was the day after Halloween, we also have an additional Foo-related treat for you. Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters frontman, (FYI -- they happen to be this week's Artist Of The Week and happen to effin' rule) is outspoken about a lot of things, but the one topic you don't often hear him talk about is Kurt Cobain's death. But he recently sat down with TheGuardian in a London hotel to discuss the stigma of Nirvana, Kurt's death (albeit just a little) and its effect on the Foo Fighters, those Courtney Love rumors, breaking up and reuniting with Pat Smear and what it's like these days to live a quieter life as father of daughter Violet Maye.

Read the Guardian article, and check out this Foo Fighters performance of their new single, "The Pretender," with Pat Smear on guitar, at the VMAs. And watch the rest of their amazing VMA Fantasy Suite performances with Cee-Lo Green and Serj Tankian of System Of A Down.

If there were such a thing as a Best Still-Rocking Band in the Universe award, we feel confident that Foo Fighters would merit the superlative statuette. And, it should be noted that this decision would be made completely independently of the fact that Dave Grohl was the drummer in Nirvana.

Here's our case:

- The Foo Fighters have been rocking, rolling and generally ruling the rock sphere for more than a decade. They can adeptly switch gears and go from silly (see their "Big Me" and "Learn To Fly" videos if you don't believe us) to serious ("My Hero" and "Stacked Actors") in less time than it takes some bands to tune their guitars.

- They've performed weddings on our very own MTV during their legendary "24 Hours Of Foo," which saw them more or less take over our channel.

- They once flew to Roswell, New Mexico, for just a few hours to perform inside the Roswell Industrial Air Center, where aliens purportedly crashed decades ago. (We were there! At the show ... not at the alien landing, duh.)

- They have absolutely incredible taste in music. For proof of that, check out their performance of Prince's "Darling Nikki" with no less than Cee-Lo Green singing lead during their massive VMA Fantasy Suite party below. In fact, check out their entire suite party concert with Mastadon, Queens Of The Stone Age/Eagles Of Death Metal and more! AND, check out their favorite videos as they displayed them this past weekend on MTV2 Saturday Rock the Deuce.

- The Foo Fighters have written, in our opinion, three of the best rock songs of late 20th-century history: "Everlong," "Breakout" and "My Hero."

- Despite the mind-reeling level of fame they've achieved, they never seem to sell out or screw up. You never hear about these guys being massive jerks -- in fact they're known for being some of the nicest guys in the business. When we've seen them at parties, they couldn't be more gracious or willing to go out of their way to express their appreciation (we once saw Dave hug every person in the room and patiently chat with everyone who tapped his shoulder to talk to him, but without being toolish in any way).

But none of this would probably matter much if they weren't some of the most skilled rockers around. Which is why we're celebrating the Foo Fighters (yes, we know you already know who they are) and their entire catalog as this week's Artist of the Week.

So, that and a MASSIVE crush on Dave Grohl (girls want him and guys wanna be him, or at least be his friend), are the many reasons why WE love this band. Why do YOU love them?

UPDATE: You've probably seen all of their on-air clips between shows this week on MTV. Well now they're all on online, so you can watch all of the Foo Fighters MTV spots, including their trip around NYC with... uh... "Gracie" and live performances, plus a full-length performance of "Everlong." (Swoon!)

Per Dlisted.com, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl (we ADORE him in any and all forms, but does anyone else wish he'd lose the shag and scruff and get back to the extreme hotness of his clean-cut circa-There Is Nothing Left to Lose era??) summed us his opinion of Paris Hilton in four brief sentences:

"Paris is f---ing lame. She's more offensive to me than anything. She's a total, raging, disgusting, rich, lazy party slut. I pray that my daughter will not turn out like her."

Hm. Wonder how he really feels. And check out these photos of the hardest-working hotel heiress in the business playing Spiderwoman and attempting to scale a gate after a few too many limoncellos at a post-Emmy party. Class-ay!

Oh yeah, and the Foo Fighters are just about ready to drop their latest album, Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace. Listen to it here.
