Oh, the lengths to which Tyson Ritter will go for your happiness... Months ago he stood on a Malibu beach, staring down the icy ocean water, knowing exactly how much it was gonna hurt to jump in.

The All-American Rejects' frontman used an airplane metaphor to describe the inevitable suffering, saying that he knew his "landing gear" was gonna come way up in that chilly water. "I might have ovaries by the end of the day," he joked. Had he seen this coming, the song may have been called "The Ocean Blows."

After watching the Rich Lee-directed (Fergie, Chamillionaire, Evanescence) video for "The Wind Blows," I can safely say that it was well worth the shrinkage. The video -- a hazy ocean-side romance, perfectly matches the song's melodic heartache. The band describes it as a "love story that doesn't end bad, it just ends." Kinda like their latest album, When The World Comes Down: a thrilling emotional rollercoaster that has to end, but does so on a positive note. Follow the Oklahoma boys down to the Malibu beach, and watch the dreamy video for their second When The World Comes Down single, "The Wind Blows."

For three years, Jamie Tworkowski has been on a mission to harness the influence of your favorite bands to raise awareness about the very serious depression that can come hand in hand with the stereotypical rock star lifestyle. The same depression that affects an estimated 19 million Americans and can lead to suicide -- the third-leading cause of death among 18-24 year olds.

What started as a project to help out a friend in need has blossomed into a full on movement called To Write Love On Her Arms. Tworkowski has brought his message to church groups, universities, music festivals and, most of all, the internet. To Write Love On Her Arms has enough of a following on MySpace and Facebook to populate a small country.

But it didn't happen overnight. Tworkowski's first major ally was inspirational San Diego rock outfit, Switchfoot. His friend, drummer Chad Butler, was the first to wear one of the now infamous To Wear Love On Her Arms t-shirts onstage. Since then the minimal design has graced the celebrated torsos of Paramore, Evanescence, Bayside, Forever The Sickest Kids and SO many more.

Tworkowski's latest college tour, starting Friday in Florida, takes him across the American South to California, this time accompanied by North Carolina folk crooner, Josh Moore. The complete calendar of TWLOHA events is here. The famous t-shirts are here. Everything else you need, including resources to give or get a helping hand through hard times, is available on TWLOHA.com. Visit often.

After recovering from far too much sparkling errmmm... cider with a record-breaking TV binge, consisting mostly of Engaged & Underage, Ruby (I have no idea why), that crazy half-ton-a-thon on TLC that everyone I know got sucked into, and an overdose of Celebrity Rehab 2, I am now COMMITTED to sobriety: I've now been FREE from TV for like... 10 hours, I think? So far so good. I intend to fall off the wagon at approximately 10pm tonight when the new episode of The City airs. Oh Whitney. I just can't quit you...

So, speaking of sober, Pink's latest video (not to mention Rihanna's retreat into "Rehab" and Amy Winehouse's famous Heisman reaction to her treatment) had me thinking about sobriety songs (other than Alter Bridge's "Watch Over You"), which, in turn, triggered memories of Evanescence's 2006 single/ video, "Call Me When You're Sober," which went to #1 on TRL (R.I.P.!) and was famously written about Amy Lee's ex, Seether frontman Shaun Morgan.

And Evanescence, if you're reading this, as much as I love Paramore (oh yes I DID!), I totally miss you guys and want you to get back together soon (remember when we all shared a locker that year? that was so awesome when we all still got along), unless it means even more in-fighting of Guns N' Roses proportions. Amy, where's that solo album? Drop us a line, some new lyrics, anything soon! Or let's grab a decaf chai or something!

Anyway, which is the better bitter break-up video? Pink's "Sober," or Evanescence's "Call Me When You're Sober"?

Estonian breakthrough artist Kerli tells her coming-of-age story in a bizarro Alice in Wonderland-reminiscent funhouse of horrors, where "creepy" prevails. We can handle sexy-sinister, but we almost had to draw the line at the singing doll. But both the artist and her video, "Walking on Air," are fresh out the gate, so we'll give this dark horse a shot.

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter -- who reminds us of a cross between Cascada and Miley Cyrus' distant European cousin -- won second-place in the 2004 Euroalaul competition (you know… that Euroalaul competition), repped Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest, cites only Björk as her musical influence, and impressed L.A. Reid enough to nail an on-the-spot record deal. Perhaps she reminded him of Pink.

Arjan Writes astutely describes her as "Björk meet Evanescence meets atmospheric electro pop." We think: Avril, but sadder! Or... Natasha Bedingfield in reverse! Though with her pierced-and-tatted appearance, plus traces of Garbage, we can't get away from the image of an updated version of the girl on that iconic Godsmack album cover.

One of our (new) favorite videos of '07 just squeaked in at the 11th hour (more or less) of the year. It's Ashlee Simpson's much-lauded new video, "Out of My Head (Ay Ya Ya)."

Dude. Can anyone tell us how Ryan Cabrera landed model/ rock royalty Riley Keough, (granddaughter of little-known musician Elvis Presley)? That's an upchicking of epic proportions. We spotted Ryan a few times in Vegas at the VMAs, including at the Star Lounge celeb gift suite, (where famous people go to get more free stuff), where he mixed tequila with Airborne tablets (uh... yum?) and looked like Slash. And not in the good way. (Check out our very own Fabrice Fabrice interviewing him).

Anyway, he was spotted this past Tuesday with his girlfriend and her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, at the Anna Sui Spring 2008 show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Also in attendance: an allegedly glum-looking Amy Lee of Evanescence, who looked quite cute in a frock by the designer and is at least wearing a smile in these pics.

Fire, tears, more fire, melting glass, even more fire, a super-hot, soaking wet Amy Lee ... Evanescence's new video has got it all! Calling it "Good Enough" is like saying Justin Timberlake is kinda cute or Chris Brown's VMA performance was just aight. They should have called it "Totally Smokin'"! Check it out…
