Remember when Biggie did "One More Chance?" Back in '95 it was the monster jam with Mary J. Blige and Biggie's wife-to-be Faith Evans on the hook. To match its monster-jamness, Biggie enlisted the man, Hype Williams, to direct the video, and called on a whole posse of talent to star. By the time the project wrapped, it included appearances by Heavy D, Da Brat, Jermaine Dupri, Queen Latifah, Tyson Beckford, Aaliyah, Diddy and TONS of others. The all-starred-ness of "One More Chance" was then pretty much unprecedented (unless you're a HUGE Chevy Chase fan).
Is it obvious yet what all this jibba jabba is leading up to? Let's just say it: Jamie Foxx went and made a video so fly, so celebbed out, that even Biggie, on his golden hip-hop throne up thur in the sky, can't touch it.
"Blame It," also directed by Hype Williams, includes performances by Ron Howard, Jake Gyllenhaal, T-Pain, Forest Whitaker, Samuel Jackson, Quincy Jones, Morris Chestnut, Tatyana Ali, Cedric The Entertainer, and more, making it officially the biggest video you ever even heard of. Sorry, Jared Leto. Sorry, Kanye. Thi$ i$ it.

I stopped into the Times Square Virgin Megastore this morning on my way to work to pick up the Incredibad album (yes, I actually still buy albums and still call them "albums" too), and aside from the fact that this location -- the one where the Jonas Brothers fought their way through massive midnight crowds to buy A Little Bit Longer this past August -- a scene you'll see AND LOVE in Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience -- is closing (thanks, INTERNET!) to make way for a MASSIVE Forever 21.
Anyway, EVERYTHING IN THE ENTIRE STORE IS PRICED TO MOVE, PEOPLE, as the garish orange signs will not allow you to forget for a second. But propped up against the wall in the very back of the store I found the saddest for-sale item -- this $29.00 Notorious B.I.G. doll, marked down an additional 20% off.
Seriously, buy the jokey penis books and "Guitar Hero" keychains and stuff, but not taking Biggie and leaving him here all by himself like this is like killing him all over again. Biggie, Mama's comin' for you! We're still missing you!
+ Vintage video: Diddy, Faith Evans, 112 & Sting remember Biggie at the 1997 VMAs with "Mo Money, Mo Problems / I'll Be Missing You (Live)." (This is one of all-time favorite VMA moments.)

Notorious, the long-awaited biopic about Christopher Wallace (aka Notorious B.I.G.) comes out this Friday, and I think that *someone* should have declared this holy day a holiday. Big Poppa is, by many a critic's estimation, the biggest, baddest, bestest rapper ever to have graced the hip-hop universe in the history of, like, ever.
And I can't say we disagree. In honor of the big day, we've rounded up this list of news bites to whet your appetite for National Notorious Day or BIGgiving or BigPoppamas or whatever:
+ Take a walk down memory lane and relive some of Biggie Smalls' best moments through interviews, shoutouts and even a freestyle in this old skool 'Look Back.' (MTV)
+ Taking on the role of such an iconic, well loved figure was probably no easy feat, but actor Jamal "Gravy" Woolard believes the opp to play Biggie was "meant to be" for him. (MTV News)
+ Notorious B.I.G. was married to R&B singer Faith Evans (they got hitched only nine days after meeting), but Poppa had a lil sumthin sumthin goin' on the side with his protege, rapper Lil' Kim. And Miz Lil' Kim is none too happy with her portrayal in Notorious (r'uh r'oh). (MTV News)
+ Jadakiss and Biggie were buds and labelmates back in the day, and Jada's new album features a "Letter to Big" tribute song. Awww. (MTV News)
+ Here's the official tracklisting for the Notorious soundtrack (oh yes, you will be mine). (Rap-Up)
+ Biggie's son, Christopher "CJ" Wallace Jr., "raps" with his daddi-o on the movie's soundtrack. (Rolling Stone)
+ And Big's mamz, Voletta Wallace, weighs in on the upcoming movie and her son's legacy. (Cinema Blend)
+ What's your fantasy Biggie playlist? If you tell us yours, we'll tell you ours. (MTV News )
+ If you don't know what a Coogi sweater is, its not too late to learn. (MTV News)
+ Notorious B.I.G. might be dead, but Twitter Biggie is alive and well. (Twitter)
+ Reviews for Notorious are already startin to "Hypnotize." (Village Voice)
+ Biggie Smalls is known and loved e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e, but in Brooklyn, he's a gawd. (Brooklyn Hall of Fame)
+ Jay-Z, Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Nas and others hit the red carpet last week for the Notorious movie premiere in NYC. (Hip Hop RX)
Notorious: 2 days. It's so on, peeple.

+ Rumor has it, Rihanna's been keeping Chris Brown on a tight leash, holding her "friend" to rules like "no girls past midnight" and no unsupervised visits from members of his female entourage. Sheesh, possessive much? (Scandalist)
+ Rapper Lil' Kim's character plays a big part in the Biggie documentary, Notorious. But that didn't stopped the Queen Bee from blasting the film, skipping the premiere, and waging war with Biggie's widow, Faith Evans. (MTV Movies)
+ More praise over Britney Spears' "comeback!" This time, critics credit Brit with looking "toned" and "stunning" for her brother's wedding. Not mentioned: the fact that her plunging neckline stops about two inches above her belly button. (The Sun - UK)
+ Fall Out Boy's still up in arms over the Blender cover story that depicts Pete Wentz as a "paranoid, pill-popping narcissist" and claims Patrick Stump nearly killed himself over a football game. (MTV News)
+ And speaking of Wentzes, Bronx Mowgli can officially sleep easy tonight knowing that there's a celebrity baby out there called Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa. (Huffington Post)
+ After 11 years of marriage, three years of separation, and some kiddie porn charges, R. Kelly's marriage to now-ex-wife, Andrea, is officially over. (MTV News)
+ Forget what you heard -- The Hills' Holly Montag will NOT be rushing into a quickie engagement/wedding anytime soon. Unlike some OTHER Montags we know... (Remote Control)
+ It's official: Miley Cyrus admits she still dreams about the Jonas Brothers. (Fashion ie)
+ Wanna win tickets to SXSW? Lucky, for you, Ebony Bones is just GIVING them away! (Newsroom)
+ Watch Taylor Swift rehearse for her appearance on this weekend's SNL! And yes, that's Neil Patrick Harris (a.k.a. Doogie Howser, M.D.) she's standing with. (Just Jared Jr.)

For those of you who don't remember life before Facebook and the Jonas Brothers, here's a down-n-dirty hip-hop history lesson: there once was an this epic Brooklyn rapper named Notorious B.I.G. He's considered by most rappers to be THE best rapper in like the history of ever, and he was even God's favorite rapper.
Most of his songs, including "Juicy" and "Hypnotize," have been sampled and re-sampled and alluded to billions of times over, and if you like hip-hop at all, we're guessing you probably have one or two of 'em on your iPod at this very min. Also, they're making a biopic of Biggie's life. It comes out January 2009, and Diddy is very verklempt.
Anyway, Biggie was tragically killed in that whole East Coast/ West Coast war that went down in the '90s ... only, strangely, nobody told this dude. (NSFW at all due to dirty wordies.)
So, fake Notorious B.I.G. has literally become my new obsession on Twitter.
Everyone on the Internaise keeps talking about Shaq (and, yes, "Shaq's" tweets are damn good), however, for me it's all about Big Poppa.
Here's a little taste of what I mean:
+ "why the Source gotta use that picture? back of my neck look like a pack of hotdogs."
It's like this fake Biggie dropped into 2008 like he was never gone. Like Sting and Diddy never even had to get together and miss on him. Fake Biggie references his wife Faith Evans, his friendship with Puffy (always says "Puffy," never "Diddy"), and even old hip-hop faves like Redman and Keith Sweat.
Also, fake Biggie watches The Hills!
I guess Twitter Biggie's kinda like Santa: you know he's not for real, for real, but it's still fun to believe.
