This just in, sickos! Forever The Sickest Kids are taking a break from recording their sophomore album, due out this fall to head out on the Warped Tour this July. But first, they're playing a secret California show on the Santa Monica pier this Sunday, June 21, at 5:47 p.m. (sharp!). Well, I guess it's not a secret anymore! Believe me, I'm not lying. Go to this show. Fly if you have to.

For three years, Jamie Tworkowski has been on a mission to harness the influence of your favorite bands to raise awareness about the very serious depression that can come hand in hand with the stereotypical rock star lifestyle. The same depression that affects an estimated 19 million Americans and can lead to suicide -- the third-leading cause of death among 18-24 year olds.
What started as a project to help out a friend in need has blossomed into a full on movement called To Write Love On Her Arms. Tworkowski has brought his message to church groups, universities, music festivals and, most of all, the internet. To Write Love On Her Arms has enough of a following on MySpace and Facebook to populate a small country.
But it didn't happen overnight. Tworkowski's first major ally was inspirational San Diego rock outfit, Switchfoot. His friend, drummer Chad Butler, was the first to wear one of the now infamous To Wear Love On Her Arms t-shirts onstage. Since then the minimal design has graced the celebrated torsos of Paramore, Evanescence, Bayside, Forever The Sickest Kids and SO many more.
Tworkowski's latest college tour, starting Friday in Florida, takes him across the American South to California, this time accompanied by North Carolina folk crooner, Josh Moore. The complete calendar of TWLOHA events is here. The famous t-shirts are here. Everything else you need, including resources to give or get a helping hand through hard times, is available on TWLOHA.com. Visit often.

Don't be fooled by the exclamation point, the quirky spelling, or the Rod Stewart haircut. Never Shout Never, aka Christofer Drew, isn't the next electrified Cali-punk neon band. His songs are constructed of the same chords and patterns as your usual Warped Tour fare, but Ingle strums many of them on a ukulele, often with very little accompaniment. And while he does have some faster songs, Never Shout Never sounds more like a folk-pop troubadour than a pop-punk troublemaker.
Of course that hasn't stopped Missouri-native Ingle from filling out bills with The Honorary Title, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab and Mercy Mercedes. Whether it's those connections or his irresistible heartsick yodel that won him a coveted slot at two of this year's Bamboozles, I can't say. But I can say that 2009 is gonna be a major year for this quirky up-and-comer.
Watch Never Shout Never's "Bigcitydreams" video below, and get acquainted with the most charming folk-popper on the punk circuit.

Love, She Wrote is a Los Angeles band (fresh off tour with Forever The Sickest Kids!) that's just about to blow the %#*@ up. You can tell by their snarls, by the attitude in their blog posts and -- most notably -- by the fierce sweetness of their overdriving rockouts. Oh, and you can tell by their deeply Hot Topic outfits.
The song to keep an ear on -- the one that's about to be all up in your head like a great aunt in a Snuggie -- is "Bling Bling Baby." There's no video for it yet, but the boys are taking care of that as we speak. As of February 21, they've been hard at work with Scott Hansen (Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Across Five Aprils) to deliver something for the world to remember them by. In the meantime, you can listen to "Bling Bling Baby" here, you can watch the Russian training montage in Rocky IV because it's roughly the same chorus, OR you can hang with the band in their hotel room here. Get to it.

Earlier this week, the announcement that Hilary Duff will star in a remake of film classic Bonnie & Clyde, ruffled a lot of feathers and raised the argument anew that Hollywood is out of original ideas. The incredibly (i.e. accidentally) timely Mercy Mercedes offer an innovative solution in the form of their video for "The Perfect Scene." In it, the North Carolina pop-punkers borrow heavily from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but instead of ripping off the '80s John Hughes classic line for line, they combine it with elements of other movies, like Back To The Future and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Take note, Hollywood! Instead of boring us with a live-action remake of All Dogs Go To Heaven, why not get out of the box with something more along the lines of 10 Things I Hate About The Fact That I Can't Hardly Wait, or The Breakfast Club At Tiffany's? THINK ABOUT IT. Watch Mercy Mercedes now. Look for them on the Bamboozle Road Show with We The Kings, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab and many others in a couple months!
Nothing says "TGIF" quite like an a cappella serenade by Forever the Sickest Kids! And since it's December and all (time to break out the long undies and crappy homemade ornaments and FedEx those X-mas wishlists to the North Pole!) FTSK are rockin' out to their/our most favoritest Christmas carol ever: "Jingle Bells."
So check out the Kids' vershe of the cheesy/classic song (Guess Drake & Josh aren't the only ones lookin' for a jingle!) and give the guys props for nailing the hand choreography (it's a snap!) modeling the latest in Winter Wonderland attire (LOVE the ear flaps!) and hittin' all their happy holiday harmonies.
+ PS. This is the tamest we have EVER seen FTSK. Like, ever. So if you who like your Kids more energized/less harmonizey, check out their headbangin' Red Bull commercial, their fully costumed Halloween craziness and live mid-concert shoutout.

When we asked the guys from Forever the Sickest Kids to lug a flipcam around on their SassyBack tour, we figured they'd come back with some blurry dressing room shots, and maybe even a Red Bull commercial or two. Instead, lead singer Jonathan Cook surprised the hell out of us by whipping out the cam IN THE MIDDLE OF A SHOW, giving fans in Richmond, Virginia (and Buzzworthy readers) a chance to see things from his "point of view."
So check it out, and find out what's like to standing on stage in front of a packed house full of screaming fans. Superstardom -- turns out, it's not just for "Kids" anymore.
+ If you liked walking in Jonathan's shoes, you'll LOVE re-watching the first two FTSK tour diaries! Ready to be famous, yet?

We never thought we'd see the day when the guys from Forever The Sickest Kids were running low in the energy department. But in today's edition of FTSK TV, Kent and Mark get all boring voice-y Ben Stein on us ("Bueller? Bueller?") and make the SassyBack tour seem about as exciting as a B.C. calc midterm. That is, until they rediscover the amazing power of Red Bull (It really does give you wings!) and do a total 180.
Check it, and watch as the guys go from sleep-deprived zombies to raging headbangers in approximately 0.4 seconds. 'Course, in their case, all it really takes is one sip...
+ Missed the first edition of FTSK TV? Catch up on the Kids' Halloween adventure now, plus get the latest on their tour besties, Hit The Lights.

After chatting it up with Hit The Lights' buddies Motion City Soundtrack at last night's Woodie Awards (more about that later! Promise!) we were super psyched to see they'd already sent us their latest tour diary. Turns out, the boys have been soaking up the sun, sharing "energy drinks" with Forever the Sickest Kids, and getting ready to spare some innocent possums' lives (it'll make sense in a sec) by ditching the van...and heading to the U.K.
So check out what our main man Nick Thompson -- also known (to himself) as "St. Nicholas" -- had to say about kicking it in Florida and chowing down on tasty pastry, plus peep the HTL portrait that the guys are calling "one of the most amazing things we've ever seen."
Oh Sh*t, shake dat ass mah and WHAT IS UP PEEPS?! I'm typing from the back of our van (a.k.a. The Possum Destroyer - and yeah, she's eaten a possum or two) chilling before our show at The Red Door in Pensacola, Florida. YEE EFFIN' HAH!
We had a day off from the Sassy Back tour and decided we wanted to play some mo'. Florida weather has been good to us thus far -- it feels amazing out right now, let's keep it up huh? Tomorrow we'll be rejoining the tour again so no worries. I think some of the boyz in FTSK are coming down tonight to hang, EXCELLENT CHOICE if I do say so myself (and I do!).

We're not sure how you guys spent Halloween, but the guys from Forever the Sickest Kids spent it guzzling Red Bulls, channeling the Village People and Gene Simmons and playing a killer show on their Sassyback Tour.
Check out this behind-the-scenes (and, occasionally, pitch-black) footage of FTSK getting ready to hit the stage, and give it up for Kent, the official FTSK cameraman, who got into the spooky 'Ween spirit by going just a little bit heavy on the guyliner...
